The hotel lobby is huge with a bakery and a lounge. The swimming pool is good for children as it has a slide. From the hotel lobby to the rooms is quite a distance as you need to take a lift and walk across to another building and may require you to take another lift if your room is not on the same floor to the connector bridge. Breakfast spread is good but some food gets cold fast. Need to improve on the nasi goreng as it is tasteless.

This is always my go to go hotel in Surabaya. Good location in Tunjungan street. Fairly new hotel so everything still in a good condition. I like breakfast variety as well. Totally recommended

Our stay was enjoyable and memorable. Great location at Tunjungan . Very convenient to find local food in the area nearby.Hotel staff are friendly and we enjoyed the coffee from the coffee shop as well as the signature cookies from double tree.

Overall, I am very satisfied with Swiss-Belinn Tunjungan Surabaya. All the staff members at the hotel were approachable, professional, and accommodating. I would have been more satisfied if the floor in the shower booth was more clean, but I say this only to nitpick at what little problem they might have there. On the flip side, from airport pick up service to room cleaning, laundry service, or receptionist’s customer engagement were very professional. I would not only recommend the place to those who want to visit Surabaya, bur I myself would use this place again.

I had a very a beautiful stay at Bumi Surabaya, what I’ll remember most is the warmth of the staff. Their kindness created a peaceful atmosphere throughout the hotel. You can feel that they care about guests, not just check-ins and check-outs. Thank you for the beautiful experience

Indonesia offers relatively affordable prices, which allows us to enjoy such a nice hotel without spending too much. With a shopping mall right downstairs for convenience, we really wish we could stay longer if time permits.

Quite a busy hotel...or maybe happened to be on that days that I was there?
Lifts are very slow.
Rooms are quite clean. Although the space in the bathroom was really tiny and unable to put toiletries anywhere in the bathroom (no space/ table on the basin)

Lokasi yang sangat baik sebagai jarak berjalan kaki ke pusat membeli-belah dan kedai makan. Kakitangan sangat membantu dan juga mencadangkan beberapa restoran tempatan yang bagus yang kami sangat menikmati semua makanan 🙂.

Staff members at the front desk were welcoming, professional, and attentive. Despite arriving slightly earlier than the standard check-in time, the reception team made every effort to accommodate me promptly, setting a positive tone for the rest of my stay. Room Quality: I stayed in a beautifully appointed room featuring modern decor, plush furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a stunning city view. The room was immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed for comfort, with Westin’s signature Heavenly® Bed ensuring restful sleep. Amenities such as a spacious work desk, fast Wi-Fi, and a well-stocked minibar added to the convenience. Facilities: The hotel’s facilities are top-notch. The gym was large, modern, and well-equipped, catering perfectly to guests who wish to maintain their fitness routines. The menu food sounds unappealing, but all 7 lunch and dinners were so good.
You have to try the chicken satay, which is soft and has white clean meat.
The tuna is melted and panini is so fresh.
The spaghetti cakalang is her created recipe of smoked fish and spaghetti. Her tofu and Tempe must not be missed!
Her tempong chicken is yummy and fresh! Feels like it's directly from the farm.
Nasi goreng must not be missed!
Papayas seem to be in the season.
Fried bananas covered in coconut flakes are not to be missed!
In this hotel, don't expect luxury cleanliness because there are a lot of insects (bees, butterflies, moths, grasshopper, flies), spiders, millipedes, lizards, even a gecko. If you want to stay in this rustic resort you have to be okay with them.
I didn't like the insects stuff in the room but the hosts immediately sent their staff to deal with them. Staff are friendly just be patient with them because not all speak English.
May was a super host, who gave ALL sorts of ideas on where to go, and how to go, and gives you contacts and numbers and details. Ibnu makes the best dirty latte in Banyuwangi, most probably. The hosts are very nice and go out of the way to make their guests welcome. They even dropped us at a nearby tour site, and also gave us a short walk to the beach nearby.
This level of service is almost unbeatable. Staff are always ready and welcome to greet and smile at you.
I think the Indonesian and Javanese meals are better than the breakfast menu.
Breakfast pancake and American breakfast normal only.
They generously dropped us off at Bangsring Underwater which was 3-5 mins away, which MUST NOT BE MISSED for snorkelling beginners! (But first check out if the season is good for snorkelling)
If you stay here, be prepared there's not much in the area. And not much air-conditioned cafes or restaurant or shops nearby too.
The family room has a breathtaking view of the mountains but because of the attic like structure, is prone to insects and lizards and stuff. It had a resident gecko.
The deluxe suite room had a flat ceiling so lesser insects! + huge verandah for drying your clothes + pink bougainvillea.
There are corn fields beside the hotel.
They send food to your room if you don't want to eat in the restaurant which also has a amazing view. Restaurant has rustic vibes with antique candelabras
(+ spiders).

One of the good hotels to try. Because there are many strategic places that sell cheap food and sungi because the location is in the middle of housing. The weather is cool and there is also a swimming pool. Suitable for families and couples for weekends or long holidays

Comfortable One-Night Transit Stay – Tilamas Hotel Sidoarjo I stayed one night at Tilamas Hotel, Sidoarjo, as a transit stop close to Juanda Airport, and overall it was a great experience, especially considering the price. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and definitely good value for money. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with complete amenities, and everything worked properly—including the AC, which cooled the room very well. However, I did notice one spider web inside the cupboard near the mirror, which was a bit disturbing and could easily be improved with more detailed housekeeping checks. I tried the in-room dining service. The food itself was okay, but the taste and portion could be improved, and the waiting time was quite long—around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Personally, I would rather not offer in-room dining if the waiting time is that long. Based on staff information, the service is handled by an external vendor (not a third-party app), which explains the delay. Honestly, using Gojek/GoFood might work better for both guests and the hotel. I also shared photos for reference regarding the salad garnish served with my Nasi Goreng. It looked very unappealing and unpleasant, and honestly, it would have been better to leave the garnish out completely—even rabbits wouldn’t eat it (trust me 🙂). That said, the service really stood out. The Front Desk team were professional, friendly, and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff did a great job overall. Because of that, my one-night transit stay was enjoyable. If the hotel offers a membership or loyalty program, I would love to join—especially if there are special offers or discounts for repeat guests. Hopefully, I’ll be returning again someday.
