I stayed two nights during my first solo trip. At the same time, it was also my first time staying alone in a hotel.
Everything was fine, the information about the facilities are very clear in English & Japanese. Breakfast has a great value since you can try the local specialty whitebait bowl (Shirasu-don) & other things. I'm fully satisfied
The room is very clean. The refrigerator will always on (even when you go out from the room) as long as you turn on the switch. I just hope that the air conditioner do that too. Pretty much understandable though since air conditioner drains so much electricity
The only problem during my stay is the toilet. I had to flush like three times and aim the shower at the toilet for the feces to go down completely. Three times + shower help is crazy no matter how you look at it
Also, i lost my 10.000 yen during the breakfast time and came back 2 hours after the checkout to check. They found it and handed it over to me without undergoing a long process
I don't know about staff's english since i used japanese during the entire process. But i heard them speaking to another foreigner well. I'm in Fujisawa for my Seishun Buta Yarou's pilgrimage and the hotel pretty much helps accomodate it.
It's close to Don quixote, which sells Seishun Buta Yarou merchandise in their 4th floor. It's also close to Fujisawa Station which allows you to transport easily for the pilgrimage. I recommend buying the Enoden one day pass for 800 yen if you want to cover all the spot.
I'm a hotelman from Beppu myself (Only an intern actually) and this hotel helped me so much for my last blast before my internship ends, thank you!!
Cleanliness is closer to 3.5 if you're being really picky because the shower walls could use a good wipe down & the bunk bed frame could be vacuumed. Overall though, pretty good.
The best part is the location! Right in the middle of a street of restaurants & souvenir shops next to the beach, next to a konbini, Shonan Monorail & train stations down the street, & Enoshima Island over the bridge.
The staff is very friendly & a couple of them speak English. Something to note, their wifi kept disconnecting for a few of the guests & I. The second thing I enjoyed most is the bottom floor being a cafe & staying guests get a discount. I really recommend the milkshakes & fried items!
I stayed in the female dormitory, both floors shared by all. I personally didn't feel unsafe. The main doors are locked at night & you could lock the dormitory door. The dormitory is right by the street so you will hear people & vehicles if that's something you're particular about. Lastly, don't forget to turn on the AC. Somehow, we forgot about it the first night & were sweating. I also opened the window because my bunk was further away from the AC & boxed up, both of which helped!
Overall, enjoyed my experience at Iza & will stay again when visiting Enoshima!
Central location right beside bus interchange and odawara station for JR ride back to Osaka, shopping centre and food are all nearby in the vicinity. Room is clean, public bath is available and good breakfast spread buffet style. 1800 yen 3pm to 11am next day parking at minaka basement. Can drive to Hakone or southern peninsula shizuoka for sightseeing. View of odawara castle from roof top restaurant.

The hotel is short walking distance from shin-yokohama station. Check in was easy and smooth. Out room was a bit small and tired , typical business japanese style but the furniture looked worn. The bathroom was also japanese style : no window + small bathtub with shower and minimal (well equipped) space overall. If you are lucky enough to get an upper floor room , the view from the big window is nice. On the basement there is a 7Eleven and just out of the hotel it is plenty of shops/restaurants

The hotel is located right beside the port, offering beautiful waterfront views and a very relaxing atmosphere. Despite being close to popular attractions, the area is surprisingly quiet, making it perfect for a comfortable and peaceful stay.

My fourth time staying here. Two rooms for two nights. Brought my son. It was his first time to Yokohama. Location is wonderful; walking distance to Chinatown, the Red Brick Warehouse, ramen museum, etc. Several konbini stores very close by. Rooms are well appointed. Comfortable beds and pillows. Staff were very helpful when booking taxis in advance. Live music at the bar brings a nice touch and a lively atmosphere. I will stay here again when I return to Yokohama.

Very Good
GGuest UserI spent a wonderful night here during New Year's Eve. The waiter barely understands people and foreign languages, but he is friendly and good at communication. I booked a public bathroom first, but then I changed it to a private bath when there was room. My satisfaction improved a lot! The hotel is very close to Hakoyō-Yumoto Station, and the taxi cost was less than 1,000 yen. Later, we couldn't get a taxi and it was very comfortable for us to walk to the station for 15 minutes with our children🏳️🌈
TTim NazarovWe were looking for onsen with private bath on the balcony and probably hit the sweet spot.
Unfortunately we had only 1 night stay, but it was fantastic.
Onsen is located at the top station Gora, where you can get from Odawara. That’s around 2 hours from Tokyo all together, around 3 hours from Kyoto. Last 2 sections of the way are going through a picturesque steep railway. Views are great! Be sure to rush to the front or back seats (doesn’t matter which) to secure a spot for nice photographs.
Private bath is fantastic, rooms are clean and spacious with a touch of ryokan style (tatami etc). That’s a perfect place to sit and relax doesn’t matter it’s sunshine or pooring rain outside.
The food was fantastic (according to my wife), however the options are limited if you’re not eating fish or sea products due to allergy or other reasons.
For Karaku team - I would suggest adding a signature wagyu set for those who would like something else. Selection of wine and alcohol drinks is superb. Free snacks and coffee are available till 8 p.m. as well with a view terrace. For those who like some regular conbini stuff - Lawson is around 10 mins walk with Miyazaki style trains passing by👌🏻
All in all, we wish we had stayed at least 2 nights as there are lots of activities around.
Thanks to Karaku staff for a warm welcome and tailored experience!
JJennifer WLCRight in the heart of Yokohama Minato Mirai 21! I booked a room facing the city, and it had a perfect view of the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. The night view was absolutely stunning, and I could even see ships coming and going from Yokohama Port from the side.
For breakfast, they had Hokkaido's unique Kurosenkoku natto, which had a different texture than the natto you usually find – definitely worth trying!
Next time I visit Yokohama, InterContinental Yokohama Grand will still be my top choice!
GGuest UserThis hotel is quite unique! Because it's built on a hillside, its first floor connects to the fifth floor of a neighboring shopping mall, while its main lobby is on its own fifth floor. The higher floors offer even better views. The lobby entrance faces directly onto the mountains, providing stunning scenery, and the foot bath by the entrance is wonderfully therapeutic. Both large onsen pools have outdoor sections with fantastic views. They are fully equipped with jacuzzis, saunas, cold plunge pools, and massage areas, making for a truly satisfying hot spring experience! Both breakfast and dinner are buffet-style and taste excellent. Additionally, the hotel offers a wide range of complimentary activities. I highly recommend the Mori no Yu onsen facility that partners with the hotel; it has numerous hot springs with diverse styles, and the bathing experience there is even better than at the hotel itself. This was an absolutely perfect onsen experience and well worth it.
GGuest UserThe room was a bit small but perfectly adequate. The view from the window was lovely. Breakfast was great, with a good variety including cooked fish, bread, and even ice cream, all tasting delicious. The front desk had a wide range of complimentary toiletries available, like bath salts and facial masks. The only downside was that I could hear the tram, but it wasn't too loud, and the front desk even offered earplugs. All in all, it's a convenient location and a great choice for getting around.
11360173****Ryori-yaku (restaurant name), the hot springs in Hakone are unparalleled, but the food here really deserves mention. I've been to Ryori-yaku in Izu before, and compared to that, this one probably suits my taste better. It's not as sweet, so the food is refreshing and not cloying. The only downside is that the rooms are really small—every inch of space is precious!
GGuest UserTake the Shinkansen from Osaka to Odawara, then transfer to the tram to Hakone Yumoto, and then take a bus to Gora. Two people dragged their suitcases and walked uphill for 15 minutes. They were exhausted. When they arrived at the hotel, they found that they could wait for the train in Gora, and it only took 5 minutes to walk. The hotel facilities are not new, and there are not many guests, mostly Japanese tourists. The hot spring is relatively small, and the water temperature is very high. You have to come out to breathe after soaking for a while. I experienced the private bath and open-air hot spring, and there were a lot of mosquitoes. The food is OK, worthy of the price.
AAnonymous UserConvenient location and clean. Great amenities like toothbrush, towels, pjs and slippers were provided, as well as there being makeup cleanser, toner and location in the ladies washroom. Check in and check out was easy.
Note that there is no longer luggage storage after check out, and the sauna/baths are men-only.
I also had requested a bottom bunk but had received a top one, and found the bottom bunk to be unused the morning after which was disappointing.
There are lockers, but they are skinny, so suitcases have to go into the separate luggage storage room, which were overfilled. Many had to resort to leaving their luggage outside of that door (unsafe).
As is to be expected of a capsule hotel, the soundproofing is poor and the capsule bunks squeak.
JJiatengSince it was my first time making a reservation, I had some trouble getting into the room, but they responded quickly so there was no problem. The accommodation fee was cheap, so I was able to spend more money on sightseeing. There were convenience stores, restaurants, and parking lots nearby, so it was comfortable.
AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient. From Exit 3 of Motomachi-Chukagai Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line), turn left and walk straight. When you spot a 7-Eleven, turn left again. Continue to the very end of the street, and you'll see the hotel sign in the upper right corner. Head inside, and that's the hotel entrance.
