"Hotel ini terletak dalam jarak berjalan kaki dari stesen dan beberapa tarikan ikonik. Lobi di tingkat tiga bersambung terus ke gedung serbaneka bersebelahan dari jam 11:00-20:00, dengan pilihan tempat makan yang banyak. Restoran hotel sendiri mempunyai dinding kaca yang besar dengan pemandangan yang indah, dan juga menyeronokkan untuk minum petang. Kakitangan kaunter penerimaan tetamu boleh bercakap dalam bahasa Inggeris dan mengingatkan anda tentang pelbagai perkara. Tingkap bilik menghadap Gunung Fuji🗻 Walaupun lampu terang pelabuhan tidak dapat dilihat, ia tetap menyegarkan. Kemudahan dan sanitasi diselenggara dengan baik, dan skrin TVnya besar. Teh plum yang disediakan mempunyai rasa yang istimewa, saya sangat menyukainya. Ia adalah hotel yang patut disyorkan👍."

"Saya tinggal di sana selama beberapa hari dan ia sangat selesa Anda boleh memutuskan sama ada anda mahu membersihkan bilik atau tidak setiap hari Apabila pembersihan tidak diperlukan, kakitangan pembersihan juga akan menggantung tuala baru di pintu mesra dan terdapat juga rangkaian keperluan harian seperti berus gigi, uncang teh, kapas, dan lain-lain yang boleh anda ambil mengikut keperluan. Terdapat kedai serbaneka Lawson dan stesen kereta bawah tanah di tingkat bawah kereta api bawah tanah berhenti dari Stesen Yokohama."

"Great location near Chinatown, while not tall, had a good view of the harbour. The breakfast is two styles, but it is a no brainer to choose the Japanese style with the famous curry that all reviews rave about. A healthy salad bar with fresh juice and other drinks, felt very value for money getting the breakfast via Trip.com. Very tastefully furnished room with dark wood and a nice double bed. Overall a great experience."

"Stayed here during my trip and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean and modern, and the location is excellent with easy access to Minatomirai attractions. The view from the hotel is also very nice, especially at night 🌃 The staff were polite and service was smooth throughout the stay. Facilities are well maintained and the room was comfortable. However, one thing to note is that the hotel is quite strict with check-out timing. I requested for a late check-out (even just 1 hour), but it was not allowed. So do plan your timing properly to avoid rushing. Overall, still a great hotel and I would recommend it for its cleanliness, location, and comfort 👍"

"Dear InterContinental Yokohama Grand Team, Thank you for an overall pleasant stay during our recent visit. We genuinely enjoyed our time at the hotel and appreciated many thoughtful touches. While there were a few service moments that could have been better, there were also several staff members whose kindness made our stay memorable. First, we would like to recognize the team members who positively impacted our experience: • The check-in associate who proactively offered a late check-out even though we were not enrolled in the membership program. A thoughtful gesture that created a strong first impression. • The housekeeping team for preparing our room with a towel cake, brownie treats, and a birthday card. These touches made the celebration extra special. • The restaurant hosts who warmly guided us to our table and accommodated our request for window seating. • The bell desk associate who kindly lent us two umbrellas when we asked. A simple but meaningful act. These gestures truly reflected genuine hospitality. 1. Setting Expectations and Initiative On April 15, we returned to our room around 12:45 PM and saw housekeeping was still servicing it. We fully understand and appreciate their work. After waiting around 25 minutes in the lobby, the room was still occupied, so I asked the front desk for an estimate. I was simply told cleaning usually takes 30 minutes. This felt like a missed opportunity to show initiative. It would have been more reassuring if the staff member had contacted housekeeping to confirm the actual status or remaining time. 2. Breakfast Service Warmth During breakfast on both mornings, plates were often removed without asking permission or informing us first. A simple “May I clear this?” would feel more courteous. When coffee was offered, the tone often felt flat, and when declined, staff would walk away without acknowledgment. Even a simple “Certainly, enjoy your breakfast” would create a warmer interaction. We also witnessed another guest ask a staff member to smile, first in Japanese then in English, followed by a supervisor apologizing. It was uncomfortable to witness and showed how one interaction can affect the atmosphere. 3. Room Access / Attention to Detail This was the most concerning matter. On our last day, we confirmed with the front desk that check-out was 12:00 PM. When we returned around 11:15 AM, we were surprised to find our room door open with the Do Not Disturb sign outside. We do not recall placing the sign or leaving the door open. Guest Services apologized, and the Assistant Manager of Housekeeping personally came to apologize as well, which we appreciated. Both asked if our belongings were intact, which was the right response. However, the explanation remained unclear, and during check-out the front desk seemed unaware of the incident until I explained it again. Better internal communication would help in situations like this. Final Thoughts We are not requesting compensation. We simply wanted to share constructive feedback, as fellow hospitality professionals, because we believe these moments affected an otherwise enjoyable stay. No hotel operation is perfect, and we fully understand that lapses can happen. We also wanted to ensure the excellent staff members who made positive impressions are recognized. "We stayed for 1 night when travelling to Yokohama. Excellent location right next to JR station and many restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Our room is spacious for a family of 4 and even has a nice view overlooking the cosmo21. Easy and quick check-in/out process. Would love to stay longer next time. Highly recommended to everyone."

"I had a wonderful stay at Hakone Yutowa. The hotel was very clean, and the atmosphere felt warm and cozy—especially perfect during the winter season. One of the highlights was the free-flow alcohol selection, which included plum wine, Japanese spirits, whisky, and beer. They also offered a nice variety of snacks like spicy biscuits, nuts, cakes, and mochi, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only downside is the location—getting to restaurants or a convenience store requires a bit of a walk. But overall, it’s a comfortable and relaxing place to stay, especially if you’re looking to unwind."

"The price and the newness of the hotel was excellent. Room was perfectly clean and the he size was very large compared to anything out there.  Two almost queen size beds was a treat to enjoy. One slight drawback was the entry to the hotel which was not on the street address but in the laneway/street.  We were lucky to meet a man on the train there who took us to the hotel. Yes I would stay again."
