"My stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Toyama was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is modern, stylish, and very well maintained. Its location is extremely convenient, only a few minutes’ walk from Toyama Station, which made traveling around the city and nearby areas very easy.
The room was thoughtfully designed, clean, and comfortable. Despite being in the city center, it was quiet at night and I had a very good rest. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable after a long day of traveling.
The service was also outstanding. The staff were polite, welcoming, and professional throughout my stay. Check-in was smooth, and the signature warm DoubleTree cookie on arrival was a lovely touch that made the experience even more memorable.
Overall, this is a great hotel choice in Toyama. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city."

"About 8 mins walk from Toyama Station, which is close enough if you don’t have too much luggage. But in the full summer heat it can be quite difficult.
The hotel is slightly dated but very clean. Laundry and dryer are on the 5th floor. You need your own laundry detergent. Lawson conbini is right across the road so it is easy to get snacks and essentials.
Room is clean and sized well for what you pay for."

"Came here to relax with the natural hot spring that Toyama is famous for. The waters here are dark brown like soya sauce.
The public bath has several baths including one that is outdoor. There are ample lockers, dressing tables and shower berths.
The laundry room is inside the public bath area. They are separate machines from the dryer. While the washing machines are free, it costs money to use the dryer. The shower cubicle in the hotel room has no shower rail to hang laundry to dry.
The double bed room has a private cypress wood bath tub. It felt good to soak in onsen water in the morning before breakfast. It’s deep enough for someone tall to sit in.
A short walk away is the tram stop. A free tram ride coupon can be obtained from the front desk for international tourists."

"I’m very impressed! The room is spacious compared to Japanese standards and very clean. The bed is soft and comfortable with full amenities. The location is perfect, right next to Toyama Station and the Tram stop, making it extremely convenient. The hotel is above a shopping mall, and there are other malls nearby where you can find everything you need. There’s a wide variety of food and convenience stores close by. You can even walk to Toyama Kansui Park. The staff are lovely and provide great service. I also loved the free water and ice machine. Highly recommended!"

"Mixed feeling about this … it’s a walk from the jr station in the center of the red light district, cheap accommodation, no big deal … but first room the WiFi signal was bad, staff was helpful and changed to another room, again later on the WiFi was not useable, surely the manager knows about it , was planning to stay extra nights but was not possible, next morning manager rely the apologies and room fee was refunded"

"Located just steps from Toyama Station, our stay at this hotel was truly delightful. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast spread was exceptional. The French toast, in particular, was a standout for me. It added such a sweet and memorable touch to our time in Toyama."

"Very spacious Japanese style rooms with very good breakfast and dinner buffets (dinner highlight was shabu shabu). Also very good Onsen bath with small outdoor ‘rotenburo’. RRandom随机Honestly, I don't know where to start. I'm completely touched by my experience at this hotel. First, the rooms are clean, big, surrounded by nature, greenery, and a beautiful lake that you can observe for a perfect morning scenery. Secondly, the facilities are top notch! Everything is clean! All facilities are provided to you with great quality; clean floors, perfect white clean towels, the hot spring water is clean, the pools are clean, the shampoo and body wash liquids smell amazing! (Like the baby colon your mother would give you as a child with the blue rounded top!) AMAZING! However, I had a very special interaction with one of the staff who deserves a medal for being so responsible and ensuring that her guest was in good hands.
Unfortunately, I got sick one morning while I was checking out. I was having an anxiety / panic attack that made me really disoriented. I didn't feel safe driving afterwards and I requested for the ambulance to be called. The kind and beautiful lady at the front desk handled all my paperwork, and ensured clear communication between doctors and nurses. After getting a physical check at the hospital for 2 hours, the results came back fine. There was no problem at all, however, the lady from the hotel staff was still there to see me out and ensure that I was safe and ok to drive. She was amazing! Thank you a million times for providing a fantastic place to stay, but also for taking great care of me!
( I don't have any pictures of the hotel because pictures aren't allowed to be taken within the hot springs, but trust me when I say, everything looks just as it is in the pictures. ) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

GGuest UserStayed in a standard twin room for 2 nights. The room is slightly too warm as it operates on a central heating system. The rest of the hotel facilities are excellent. The staff are warm and friendly. If you do not want to have your room made up, they reward you with 2 QR codes which you can use at the vending machine behind the front desk.
We chose this hotel as it was a street across the Shirakawago express bus stop operated by the Toyama Chitetsu Bus company. It was really convenient for us to use it to explore Toyama as well as take a day trip to Shirakawago.

SSenshyaThe room was a traditional Japanese tatami room. The elderly gentleman there was very kind and spoke English. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast. The hotel was right next to the Takaoka Great Buddha, and the station was less than 500 meters away.

GGuest UserDue to a booking error made by the agent, my check-in experience was terrible. I spent the entire night communicating with Ctrip (the booking platform), and while it was eventually resolved, I was still disappointed that I didn't get the room I wanted. The hotel is right next to Toyama Castle, and you might get lucky and see the Tateyama Mountain Range from the side. There's a convenience store and a tram station across the street, which is generally good. However, the room itself was very basic, and the service wasn't particularly warm. Overall, the experience was just average. A small surprise was the mochi pounding and sake offering on New Year's Day morning.

GGuest UserA magical traditional Japanese inn. You have to wear slippers when entering the inn. The elderly are very enthusiastic and the whole village is very welcoming. I haven't experienced that kind of simplicity for a long time. There are singing and dancing performances, very delicious Sichuan fish, and a call to eat breakfast early. It feels like home.

The hotel is just short walk from the bus stop. Room was huge, well equiped with amenities. They also provide the skin care as well. The hotel dinner was really good. It was the japanese course with free flow drink. (Sake, Fruit liquir, beer, soft drink). There are a lot of activities inc. Walking on Midagahara wetlands, stargage (japanese only). The hotel is just next to Midagahara wetland which you can enjoy the view of seacloud in the evening and the stunning view of glassland and the mountain in the morning. 10 of 10.
