Deserves all 5 star 🌟 rating, totally amazing place, loved every minute of pur stay, only wish we had booked longer. From the moment we pulled up to the lodge and were welcomed with a handshake and a great smile from Tiron. The place really does look like a Safari Lodge , standing as it is in the Jungle. We were given a huge room with 2 king sized beds - air conditioning- tea & coffee making facilities - large bathroom, we even had a private terrace & balcony with tables & chairs. Woke early and had cup of tea on the terrace. Beautifully quiet and peaceful with only birdsong to be heard , and a squirrel scampering around on the roof. Absolutely stunning place. Tiron the manager/ proprietor arranged a safari trip for us. It was faultless, picked up at hotel on time by one of the hotel’s own vehicles. Very comfortable and we had it to ourselves. Friendly and knowledgeable driver / guide. We had a fabulous evening meal at the Lodge , home cooked Sri Lankan food served buffet style. Large variety of menu items all freshly cooked and hot .Absolutely delicious. The breakfast that was included and was also extremely good. Plenty to choose from - lovely Ceylon Tea . Really enjoyed our stay there. Wonderful value for money- charming hosts and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended.

We booked to stay 3 nights here, but only stayed for one evening due to the fact they had back to back weddings booked for the duration of our stay. Both of our rooms backed onto the wedding venue with only one internal window between us and the main wedding reception. The music, which was really loud, finished at 11pm and the party wrapped up at around 11:30pm. The following morning staff started to set out for the next wedding at 7am with the clatter of trolleys, plates and voices at 7am which woke us up. The wedding procession came right past the doors of our rooms as we were leaving to check out and part of the wedding and the buffet for the wedding breakfast were by the pool/outside our room, meaning we couldn’t use this area/the pool. On a positive note, the staff were extremely helpful, especially the restaurant manager, and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was very good. The rooms are very comfortable and large, and very clean. When we complained and checked out, they gave us a 10% discount without us asking. Any Brits beware - they don’t have a drinks licence. The hotel is small and I really would not recommend staying there is there is a wedding, as there is nowhere to go to get away from it.

we had lunch inside (the small outside area was scruffy with unemptied ashtrays and good stealing monkeys.The roasted veg were barely edible, Our room on the first floor was in need of refurbishment as was the rest of the hotel. Small bathroom, dirty grouting and it smelled of drains. Only 3 sockets. The buffet in the evening was everything you dread - crowded long queues, over cooked and barely warm dishes. The Pakora I had was made from a piece of lettuce that was slimy and limp. Limited choice of desserts and the chocolate mousse needed several sharp shakes to get it from the spoon to the plate.The main restaurant was full so we sat in the adjoining room. This room had an over powering smell of damp. On returning to our room we had to use our phone torch as it was so dark. The key card didn’t work to get in our room and it took 3 men 20 minutes to fix it. Breakfast was no better, long wait for omelettes (only one spatula between two cooks!); quite a number of dishes needed replenishing. Check out - we were over charged by £50 pounds tho they corrected that efficiently enough by chefs

I had a great room with a terrace, a small bungalow. The room was clean and had everything you needed, even felt like you were taking an outdoor shower. Max is a wonderful host and fulfills every wish. The organization of the safari was great. The food was delicious. His mother cooked and it was excellent. In addition, Max is an excellent singer. He played his guitar and sang for us at dinner. I just loved it. Just ask Max, he likes it. I will definitely come again. Thank you Max for this great experience and everything Ich hatte ein super Zimmer mit Terrasse, einen kleinen Bungalow. Das Zimmer war sauber und es war alles da, was man braucht, sogar das Gefühl, man duscht im freien. Max ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch. Die Organisation der Safari war super. Das Essen war super lecker. Seine Mutter hat gekocht und das ausgezeichnet. Dazu ist Max ein ausgezeichneter Sänger. Er hat uns zum Abendessen auf seiner Gitarre etwas vorgespielt und gesungen. Ich war einfach nur begeistert. Max einfach fragen, er macht das gern. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Danke Max für diese tolle Erfahrung und alles
