"The hotel from the bus station with a bus is about 15 minutes with bus 42 , then walking about 8 minutes to the hotel or use a bolt , nice breakfast, very good , clean room there was a sparkling water kept in the room, which was nice but I prefer still water."

"Good location,excellent customer service. The room is big with modern design, complete with electric kettle(with the usual coffee,tea & sugar) & small fridge. Good selection in the breakfast buffet. It’s a nice touch that they put the guest’s name in the room’s t.v & a small card from the housekeeping staff. I was happy with the cleanliness, until I saw a stain in the duvet/comforter (which looks like an old blood). I only saw it on the morning of check-out when the duvet cover accidentally opened when i was tidying-up the bed. I mentioned it to the reception staff & she said she will feedback to the housekeeping."

"I stayed for 3 nights. My main reasons for choosing this hostel were 1. it has a kitchen: as I’m going a lot of travelling I cannot afford to eat out for every meal so made breakfast, prepared lunches and dinner. The kitchen was clean,modern, fully equipped. There was free coffee (beans and coffee maker) , tea, sugar. 2. location: needed to be convenient to the bus station (15min walk) and the historic centre (5-10mins walk). The hostel was easy to locate. The neighborhood felt safe to walk around and shops are near by (including Tescos). Right next to tram station, though I never needed to use it. There are also some very interesting second hand / vintage clothes shops in the street. Check-in was easy (24 hour reception). I was offered the opportunity to pay the 10 euro deposit by card or cash. I paid using a 20 euro note, got change ok and the money was left in my key slot thus easily returned on check out. The reception staff smiled and greeted me when walking in and out, perhaps because I did to them. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed form with en-suite. You choose your bed on a first come basis , though have a key for a specific locker that was large enough to fit my carry on luggage. The room felt spacious and even had table and chairs. Room and en-suite were clean. The beds each have a power socket and small shelf fixed to the wall though no individual light. You pick up bed linen at reception, make your own bed and put bedding in laundry basket when checking out. The pillow was lumpy and could do with being replaced. Sleep quality was good except one night with a very loud snorer (reception gives earplugs for free). It is winter and the room was nice and warm. The room has 2 ceiling lights. An area of improvement would be to be able to switch each light on/off separately. The wall of lockers separates the bed area from the entrance and en-suite door and it would be useful to be able to only turn on the light there. The en-suite was clean and warm (it is November). The shower water was not hot enough for my personal taste but it was not cold. There is an additional toilet and shower room in the corridor for additional use. The corridor also had a fridge. The laundry room is free: has washers and driers but need to buy detergent. It was my plan to stay in and do all my laundry on my day of arrival and I was grateful that I decided to do that rather than do laundry at the previous place. It saved me 9 euros. WiFi is free and reliable. When staying in a shared space the experience is greatly influenced by the other people who happen to be there at the same time. Everyone I met was friendly. The people sharing my room were always respectful of each other. Lights out in the room tended to be by 10pm and when coming in later than that it was possible to turn on the en-suite light and open the door to provide some light to get ready for bed without disturbing others. It was quiet in the room and the only ‘noise’ came from some late night loud voices in the corridor from others but it only lasted a few mins. The soundproofing is not sufficient to block noises from other areas, follow the advice on signs and report to reception if necessary. It is nice that the hostel seems to not tolerate noisy people disturbing others. I was traveling as single female. In the 3 nights the dorm room was never fully occupied, had 8 men come and go staying for a day or two, and I never felt uncomfortable in the hostel or neighborhood. This place is good value for money, comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again."

"A primo impatto l’Hotel Tatra si è presentato come un hotel molto bello, ordinato e accogliente. Tuttavia, durante il soggiorno sono emersi alcuni aspetti che non ci hanno pienamente soddisfatto. Eravamo un gruppo di 13 persone e abbiamo soggiornato in due camere quadruple (appartamenti), una tripla (la nostra, camera 433) e una doppia (camera 501), dal 12 al 16 gennaio. Gli ospiti delle camere quadruple sono rimasti molto soddisfatti della pulizia, che è stata sempre impeccabile e curata ogni giorno. Al contrario, nelle camere triple e doppie abbiamo riscontrato diversi problemi legati alla pulizia. In particolare, alcuni asciugamani erano macchiati oppure presentavano pelucchi e avevano un forte odore di candeggina, decisamente sgradevole. Inoltre, durante tutto il soggiorno non ci sono mai state cambiate le lenzuola, mentre in altri hotel in cui abbiamo soggiornato in passato venivano sostituite ogni notte. Anche la pulizia dei mobili lasciava a desiderare, poiché era presente della polvere. Segnaliamo questi aspetti in modo costruttivo, anche perché gli appartamenti si trovano in una parte diversa dell’hotel (a sinistra), mentre le camere doppie e triple sono situate sulla destra. Questo ci fa pensare che possa esserci una differenza nel personale addetto alle pulizie, ed è per questo che riteniamo utile un approfondimento interno, così da migliorare il servizio offerto. La colazione è molto varia e nel complesso buona. Tuttavia, la frutta ci è sembrata poco fresca e insipida, e i dolci non sono stati particolarmente di nostro gradimento. Nonostante ciò, il buffet è comunque molto completo. L’aspetto che ha decisamente migliorato la nostra esperienza è stato il personale della reception. I ragazzi sono stati tutti gentilissimi, in particolare Sara e Adam, che si sono dimostrati estremamente disponibili e professionali. Ci hanno aiutato moltissimo nell’organizzazione di un itinerario per una gita in giornata a Budapest e si sono anche occupati di stampare i biglietti per noi. Davvero bravissimi e sempre con il sorriso. In conclusione, l’hotel ha un grande potenziale, ma riteniamo che una maggiore attenzione alla pulizia di tutte le camere, in modo uniforme, possa fare una grande differenza nell’esperienza complessiva degli ospiti."

"The best part of this hostel is the location. It’s ideal to move around either on foot or by public transportation. There are enough shower/toilet rooms not to wait in line. Not every single bed is applied with a socket. Check in is at 3pm which I find is a bit too late. Amazing cat comes over from time to time and is quite playful. Everything you can think of can be bought at the reception via card only."

"😔 I’m really sorry to say this, but unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this hostel. First, the positives: ✅ Large rooms ✅ Very friendly staff ✅ Excellent location ✅ Great price Everything would honestly be perfect… BUT there is one massive problem. 🚨 The sanitary conditions here are absolutely unacceptable. In my opinion, health and safety authorities should seriously inspect this place. It’s unbelievable that on one entire floor — with what felt like 100–200 male guests staying there at the same time — there is ONLY ONE toilet. And that toilet is tiny, almost like an airplane bathroom… actually even less comfortable than on a plane. ✈️🚽 I have traveled a lot around the world and I have NEVER seen something like this before. One toilet for an entire hostel floor is simply shocking and completely unreasonable. Without this issue, I would have gladly recommended this hostel, because many things are really good. But basic sanitary facilities are essential, and unfortunately because of this I cannot recommend this place and I will never come back. ❌"

"Location fab Thats where any good ends. Breakfast can only be described as chaos. No tables etc so had to make do with a takeaway coffee and just a croissant in the reception area. Pool area far too busy. On NYD everything closed at 8pm, no bar open and staff made it clear they wanted you gone. Wine in vespaio bar served warm. Disturbed throughout night by other guests in early hours coming and going."
