Hotel Dengan Parking di Inner Mongolia, China

For my trip to Hohhot, after checking out several hotels, I specifically opted for the Shangri-La, which is considered one of the pricier options in the city. Its location is decent, nestled between Dazhao Temple and the Inner Mongolia Museum, and also conveniently close to Kuan Alley. However, the hotel seems to have been open for quite a while, and its facilities are showing their age. The rooms aren't very large, and the toiletries provided are quite basic. While this might be understandable for the region and likely considered acceptable by local standards. The breakfast spread wasn't particularly diverse, and I personally found it quite average. If you're visiting as a tourist, I'd recommend eating breakfast at Kuan Alley instead – it offers better value for money and tastier options.

Baotou Shangri-La Hotel is simply amazing. The check-in experience is really good. Before I checked in, the hotel housekeeper Miss Bai Huimin called me in advance to arrange a satisfactory room for me. The front desk check-in attitude was also very good. The room facilities and equipment are very complete, the hygiene is particularly good, and a small gift with Inner Mongolia characteristics was given when I checked out. In short, it was a very good experience. I will definitely choose here next time!

Definitely the nicest hotel in Baotou. Great location near good restaurants and very easy to get a taxi if you want to go further. Service was very help and breakfast had great Chinese and Western options. Even during Spring Festival everything was very clean and service was attentive. Will definitely stay again!

The hotel I stayed in this time was really amazing, just below my location, near the community, within a few minutes' walk. It was very convenient to travel, the room was warm and comfortable, the details were perfect, and even the corner was spotless.The bed is soft and moderate, so you can relax the enthusiasm of the front desk staff instantly when you lie down.

We had to change rooms because we found an insect. To make matters worse, while getting settled, I accidentally scalded my arm with hot water while preparing tea. A staff member kindly provided some ointment, but it was still quite painful. The new room, unfortunately, was on an upper floor facing the main road and lacked proper soundproofing. We could hear traffic noise throughout the night, which is far from ideal for light sleepers or elderly guests sensitive to noise. Adding to our troubles, the strip lights in the room couldn't be turned off. It was too bright to sleep, and despite not wanting to bother anyone late at night, I had to call an engineer again to fix it. We were told the ballast was broken. It was just one thing after another! As a gesture, they waived the charges for our drinks and water, amounting to over 40 yuan. Honestly, I wasn't looking for compensation; I just felt completely worn out, physically and mentally, after the injury and all the accumulated hassles. This was our experience. To be fair, despite these specific issues, our overall stay wasn't entirely bad. Bugs can appear anywhere, and thorough pest control might prevent them. However, lights shouldn't be faulty, especially in a hotel. Perhaps this Wanda property is getting a bit old. (The attached photo was taken on the third day. I hadn't initially planned on writing a review, which is why I didn't take pictures of the issues as they occurred.)

The room is clean and tidy. The bedding is comfortable. The water supply is large and it is very comfortable to wash. Parking is convenient at the door. The service is super super super good. I upgraded the room type for free. After checking out, they also took the initiative to give bottled water and slippers for use on the road. This environment, this price, and this service are really worth it. I hope the price will not increase.

This was my first time in China and the first city I visited was Manzhouli. I found this hotel and honestly I think it's the best place if you want to explore the city. It's located right in the center, the room is very big and you have all the services you need. But most importantly is the lovely receptionist Paule that I met there that made the whole experience much better. She will help you with whatever issue you have and I recommend to ask her how much should a taxi to go to a certain place because some taxi drivers take advantage of the fact that you're a foreigner and overcharge you. Come here and you won't be disappointed 😉

The hotel is clean and tidy, and the front desk staff are friendly and patiently help solve problems. I highly recommend it; it's the best choice for your visit to Hohhot! Thumbs up! There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby! It's also close to the subway station, and getting a taxi to various attractions is convenient. My only minor wish is that the hotel had more washer-dryer units to reduce waiting times for guests, especially given the number of rooms. Currently, there are only two washers and two dryers.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The copper pot milk tea for breakfast was very authentic and there were many varieties. Drinking a bowl of milk tea and eating a bowl of ramen was very filling. Hahahahaha. Xiaona and Xiaoyuan at the front desk were also very enthusiastic. Because I didn't know what to eat in Alashan, they took out a small map for me to navigate. They were really enthusiastic! And when I asked about the local specialties, they gave me an agate bracelet! The stay experience can be said to be quite good!

This hotel deserves more than a perfect score – I'd give it 200 out of 100! The experience was truly exceptional, offering incredible value for money. My business trip coincided with the summer vacation, so I decided to bring my family and kids along to stay at this hotel. Firstly, the service was absolutely superb. The rooms were spacious and inviting, featuring a large bed and comfortable tatami-style seating. Complimentary fresh fruit was provided daily, and the shower water pressure was excellent. The breakfast was another highlight – incredibly varied and delicious! They even provided complimentary breakfast for our child over 130cm tall. While kids might not eat much – perhaps just a bowl of noodles and a few side dishes – this thoughtful and considerate gesture truly set them apart from other hotels. Overall, the experience was outstanding. For any friends visiting Ordos Kangbashi district, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel as their top choice. Its location is also excellent: it's close to the Ulan Mulun River, perfect for watching Asia's largest musical fountain at night, and there's Mother Park right behind the hotel. In short, the location is absolutely superb. Highly recommended!
