We drove to Manzanillo, Colima from Chapala, Jalisco this morning for a one-night romantic getaway, and reserved a Suite with a Jacuzzi tub. We called ahead to assure that our room had a Jacuzzi. The place was relatively deserted when we arrived, no one in the restaurant all afternoon ... and we were alone in the pool. The Jacuzzi was HUGE and took well over 90 minutes to fill (seemed wasteful of hot water). However, it did not work. We called down to front desk and requested a maintenance man. They first sent two guys around 8 pm, a young man and an older man who reeked of alcohol and staggered, and both left after about 20 minutes and not being able to start Jacuzzi. A second call to front desk brought the young man back, who worked enthusiastically for another 40 minutes, then left, saying he would return. After waiting 20 minutes with no return, a third call to front desk gal, Angie, had her send the older, drunk guy. He worked for another 15 minutes before giving up. Meanwhile, handfuls of Dirt were being forced out of the various jets, making the water unusable. I called to Angie again and reminded her we were there for one romantic evening with a Jacuzzi tub and since it was unusable, we were needing a partial refund. She said we needed to talk with Manager FELIPE LUNA at 8am. I asked her to leave Mr. Luna a message about our more than Two Hours of failed maintenance attempts on our Jacuzzi tonight. We felt it would be appropriate to have a refund of the difference between a Standard Room and this room with Jacuzzi (a difference of $1,303 MXN or $64.50 USD). Shortly thereafter Mr Luna called our room and, after repeating that we felt a partial refund was due, he offered us 'breakfast' in the morning, 'worth $20 USD'. I repeated that the difference in room rates would be appropriate ... and FELIPE LUNA lied and insisted the difference in room rates was $20 USD!! After reading other reviews about the poor quality of their restaurant, I'm glad we did not accept Mr Luna's ridiculous offer. This was a learning experience and we will definitely NOT return to this poorly maintained hotel. We plan frequent trips for a 60 member motorcycle club, and will cross this hotel off our list of beach destinations.

We booked this resort through RCI after reading reviews that are clearly for another resort. They did not have our reservation when we arrived and after much argument, rented us a room in a different villa for 2 nights. In trying to sort all of this out through RCI, we were required to move from that villa to a Studio Villa (we were also charged for it) that was a dump! With help from RCI we eventually left Manzanillo and arrived at our second destination in Puerto Vallarta 2 days early. Thank you RCI! We would not recommend Villas Del Palmar to anyone. The staff were rude and did not apologize for the mix up. The resort is old and tired and in need of many repairs. It is also not situated on a golf course as advertised!

It all started when we spent a whole day flying or in airports. We had reservations for everything (flight, shuttle and hotel...fully paid for). when we arrived about 10pm, we were tired and shocked to see we had no reservations that night. They informed us we had to pay for the night up front in order to stay there (305.00us).....we did and they let us have a room....so next day, all finally got figured out with the help of the shuttle driver, and I was to get refunded the money, per front desk evening supervisor. She promised with no results, even though I was told the money would be back in my account by the day before we left for home...over and over she said we would be paid, They don't even have the courtesy to call or email me with info or money. Dont trust this hotel.....I have been vacationing and traveling over 40+ years.........this is the worst, never ever go back , even if I won a free week there. I would have given a minus 2, but employees were very helpful, kept grounds and beach clean, food was good ............so there be it.........plan on another hotel, one with more better feed back.

Todo fluyó perfecto durante nuestra estancia. La app de Trip nos ayudó a conseguir un muy buen precio y no se tuvo ningún inconveniente. Nos llegaron los avisos y comprobantes de pago en tiempo y forma. No hubo cargos sorpresa. El personal de recepcion muy atento y amable. En el hotel se tuvo buena atención en general solo el horario y menú del restaurante para la cena creo que pudiera ser mejor. Así mismo el mantenimiento del lavabo debería ser más eficiente ya que se saturaba fácilmente como que había algo de obstrucción. Seguramente regresaremos pronto.

Hicimos una reservacion por una noche en el Hotel Grand Festival Manzanillo, llegamos al hotel a las 12:30hrs y tardamos en hacer el check in aproximamente 30 minutos ya que solamente habia una chica atendiendo la cual en su atencion dejaba mucho que desear respondiendo con negativas cualquier solicitud que se le hiciera en vez de dar opciones, solicite una villa en planta baja ya que somos adultos mayores y de una forma muy grosera nos dijo que no, que si nos tocaba que estaba bien pero no nos dio ninguna opcion hasta de pagar mas. Junto a ella se encontraba un chico practicante que tenia mejor actitud y aunque nervioso hacia su trabajo. Afortunadamente nos colocaron los brazaletes y empezamos a disfrutar el lugar, nos indicaron que podiamos cambiarnos de ropa en los vestidores que estan frente a la recepcion los cuales estan sucios y descuidados (en el area de regadera habia hasta una toalla sanitaria sucia) En cuanto a los alimentos y las bebidas todo estuvo excelente, la atencion de meseros en general y la hostess del restaurante italiano muy bien. Yesenia en el restaurante de la alberca para el desayuno con atencion sobresaliente. Hablando de la Villa (habitacion) esta en condiciones regulares, cama comoda, limpieza buena, pintura en la habitacion bien, pero la cocina en el area de la estufa esta oxidado. Hablando de la playa, el espacio destinado para el Hotel es muy pequeño y en general no caben los huespedes. Hay bastante basura tirada. El Restaurante de la playa nos sorrprendio ya que todo estaba delicioso y las bebidas muy bien (atencion maravillosa del mesero), pero las mesas y sillas estan viejas y da mal aspecto ver las sillas todas manchadas. Llego el momento del check out, nuestro vuelo salia a las 7:00 pm y dejamos la habitacion a las 12:00 (horario del check out), pero quisimos estar mas tiempo en el hotel para tomar nuestro lunch, de inicio nos querian cobrar una noche completa por esto pero les dijimos que nos iriamos a las 4:00 pm, entonces solamente nos cobraron $1,050.00 mxn por dos personas para tomar el lunch. En general nuestra estadia no fue como la esperabamos, fuimos huespedes de este hotel cuando se llamaba Maeva por mas de diez años ya que regresabamos cada Octubre y fue por eso que quisimos regresar pero despues de esta experiencia, ya no volveremos mas.
