Hotel Dengan Parking di Western Cape, South Africa

The room looked a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. However, in the last 2 nights of my stay, the key card somehow did not register me as a guest which resulted in me having to go down to the reception to reactivate the card which was inconvenient, especially since I had already booked these 2 nights. Please also note that the hotel takes a deposit of 200 rands per night and it should be paid in cash which was a bummer since Cape Town was the last stop in my trip and I didn't have that much cash anymore and I won't want to withdraw just for this. Unfortunately, it seems that cash is the only way to go since other payment methods will result in losses. I ended up using my credit card to pay this deposit where they charged my card instead of placing a hold. When I checked out, they asked for all my card details including CVV to process the refund. Unfortunately, a month later, I still did not receive a refund on my card. It took another month before I got the refund via bank transfer. To my horror, I received 32% less because this was charged by the hotel's bank. The hotel stated that the hotel does not bear the transfer cost and claimed that my card did not work when they attempted to refund. However, the attempt to refund to my card was never mentioned in my e-mail correspondences. In conclusion, the hotel room is generally pleasant to stay in but avoid using your card to pay the deposit to avoid the above problems.

A good hotel with a great location. Friendly staff, thoughtful room equipment, tasty and varied breakfast. The only thing is that the room was not very well cleaned, white socks quickly turned brown, women's hair was often found, there was an unpleasant smell in the toilet (most likely sewage).

The folks at the front desk were absolutely lovely! Thank you to Thembisa for helping us with the booking of our fun trips around Cape Town. Shoutout to Albert who is always welcoming us! Great location with spacious rooms. Breakfast was good with a wide variety. Would highly recommend.

The hotel itself is great and very conveniently located. I used Trip.com to do the booking and they were terrible. They duplicated the booking, charged me double and then refused to return 1 payment, despite the hotel agreeing to the refund. If you want to stay here, do not use Trip for the booking, phone the hotel directly

The location of this hotel is good and safe, but I don’t really like the parking fee of 50 rand per day. There is a shopping mall in the back and it is very convenient to walk there. The room is enough for two people. You can see Table Mountain and the sea from the window. I stayed at the hotel on the first day It is beautiful to see the sunset directly, but the check-in time is 3:00 a.m., we can only put down our luggage at 1:00 a.m. and go out for a walk

Good place to have a short stay. It’s up a hill so not wise to walk. They have a parking space enough for a few cars. Room is basic, no microwave or fridge. It has stairs too so take note if you don’t want to lug your luggage up and down (they have a lift but it doesn’t go to all floors.

So good we are staying longer! Apart from the obvious draw of the fantastic golf course onsite the hotel and spa are a real treasure. Breakfast is to a very high standard. Rooms are spacious but the real bonus is the spa and facilities. Unlike other hotels on the garden route with high costs and limited availability the range of treatments on offer is excellent, staff work hard to fit you in and they are very reasonably priced too. Reception staff are very helpful and ensure you are aware of all the local walks and things to do. I’d definitely stay again…. We are already staying longer than originally planned.

Only stayed for one day, new menus being trailed so food was slow. Other than this a great stay.

Had a great time. Id definitely come bsck here. Decent breaky spread including a salad bar, scrambled eggs or omelette. Plus cereals pastries anf fruit. Room was tidy. Had a safe. Gym was excelldnt. Staff were do lovely too. Security guys were super helpful. You take a uber everywhere pretty much so this was a great base. Although did walk to shops and few attractions.

This place is absolutely amazing! If you're planning to take the City Sightseeing bus in Cape Town, you must stay here—there's a stop right in front! The location is spotless, with a stunning ocean view in front and Lion’s Head right behind you. Personally, the breakfast here was outstanding. It gave me a sense of peace and comfort that even luxury hotels rarely provide. If I get the chance to return, I’d love to stay for over a month!
