PPengguna TetamuStaying here felt like being welcomed into the home of a deeply cultured family. The décor is a beautiful, personal curation: art and personal book collection, vintage porcelain, silk cushions, and carefully chosen artworks.
Nothing feels excessive or staged. Every object has intention behind it — a celadon vase here, a bronze figurine there — and yet the overall feeling is one of warmth and ease, not a museum. The rooms are serene, the linens impeccable, and the little touches — embroidered pillow slips, a hand-painted watercolour above the bed — speak of a host who genuinely cares.
The lady boss is a gracious and soft spoken lady. She offers just the right amount of company and showed us the warmth of Gongtan residents through her actions and food.
This is not just a place to sleep. It is a place that stays with you.

MMaryQuinn MillsThis was such an odd hotel experience. I’ve never left a bad review before but this hotel was not very good. I wanted to treat myself to a nice hotel room so I went with this place because the reviews were good. I later realized that the boss must just beg every guest to leave 5 stars because he did that to me.
My room was a little dirty, there were many hairs on the floor like it had not been swept and the toilet had not been flushed. There was no picture of the bathroom of the room I booked on the website. There were pictures of big and nice bathrooms but not the one I had, which was very small and inconvenient, so I didn’t expect to have that one.
When I nicely brought up to the front desk that my room and the pictures online had a difference, they explained that online has multiple pictures of similar room types put together. That I can understand, but them not having a picture of the bathroom in my room at all makes it feel a little phony and not transparent.
The hotel did say that if I got there before the official check in time then maybe they could have let me switch rooms but they were all full. I used to work at a hotel so I understand 100% and would have left it at that. However, the big boss kept asking me, more than three times to give them a good rating… he rode the elevator 40 floors down and followed me outside the hotel to keep talking to me and it just felt weird. He tried to give me advice for things to do and told me where I wanted to go had been closed for a year. I still chose to go and it was open 😂
Anyways just proceed with caution. It was not a positive experience for me but maybe it will be for you

PPengguna TetamuFirst off, I swear I'm not a paid promoter—just a regular college student! This was my first time in Chongqing, and I was honestly pretty nervous after reading so many posts online about how hard it is to navigate the city and how unreliable the GPS can be. But staying at this hotel totally saved me! The host sent a super detailed route map to get to the hotel, which was a lifesaver.
Also, the location is incredibly convenient. As a college student on a ”Special Forces” style trip (trying to see as much as possible in a short time), every minute counts. Places like Jiefangbei, Shibati, Hongya Cave, and the Banshan Cliff Walk were all basically within 1 or 2 kilometers. The cliff walk was a bit farther, but only 3 or 4 subway stops away. It's right downstairs from Shancheng Alley, making everything super accessible. When it was time to leave, I just took a taxi straight from the hotel to Chongqing North Station—super easy!
When I booked, I was thinking ”as long as it's decent,” since I'm not usually picky. But the room was amazing! It was spotless, and there was a floor-to-ceiling mirror that is absolutely perfect for taking photos!!! Some rooms even have a river view from the window, and if you get a room with a better angle, you can even see the Twin Towers!!! It really couldn't be more convenient.
I'm usually too lazy to leave reviews, but this place is genuinely great. The host was so thoughtful, checking our arrival time in advance and even arranging a travel guide for us. Super sweet!! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!!!

TTheerametThe accommodation was very clean and well maintained. The staff provided excellent care and were very helpful throughout the stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a heater available, which was perfect for cold weather. The location is very convenient, close to the tourist center for visiting Wulong Karst and Fairy Mountain. It is also surrounded by many food options, with easy and convenient transportation. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

LLIM CHEE QUANSince my flight arrival was early in the morning so I was searching in trip.com for hotel that is near the airport and also offer airport pickup. Qinin Hotel matched my conditions. The arrangement for pickup was not very easy for foreign guests unless you have a local China number. Nevertheless, we managed to take a Didi to this hotel. The room is of decent size but it is located opposite the hotel lobby. The hotel also provides simple breakfast. All in all it was a present 1 night stay.

Yangtze cruise, Shibati old district, 131 Tian Tai viewing roof top viewing platform, metro stn etc. Ibis staff friendly, and manager Mr Han Lin can speak English. We appreciated the late 2 pm checkout. Hd a wonderful stay in Ibis Chongqing. Photo wt Mr Han Lin at lounge.

JJo TehThe property could benefit from some updates and maintenance. One of the queen bedrooms was converted from a balcony, making it extremely cold during winter. Additionally, the heater in one of the rooms next to the hall was not working, which made it very uncomfortable to sleep through the night.
The bathroom in one of the rooms remained choked throughout our stay, and overall, the bathrooms were not thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen also lacked proper cleanliness, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the view from the hall was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the shortcomings in comfort and cleanliness.
