Hotel Dengan Pools di Gansu, China

We stayed in this hotel as the base to see the Colourful Mountains. The hotel is old which is ok but it is not as clean as many guests have described. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom is patched up. Also, I would not recommend this hotel for nonsmokers as we are because there is smoking in the common areas. The entire hotel including the rooms smell of stale smoke which have seeped into the carpets and furnishings. You constantly feel choked up with fresh and stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. That said, this viewpoint may be our problem because we are visitors from a country that has banned smoking in enclosed public spaces and it is what we are accustomed to. On another note, the service and hospitality was excellent and we thank the hotel team for this.

The hotel is the best in Longnan, with beautiful environment, complete facilities, excellent service and rich breakfast. The hotel rooms are spacious and bright, with all kinds of new appliances. The hotel environment is very beautiful and comfortable. The hotel also has a constant temperature swimming pool and fitness and entertainment venues. The Thai seafood buffet on the first floor is a feast for the eyes, with seafood, steak, roasted lamb legs and fruits, which are dazzling and beautiful...

Our room was upgraded to an executive room, and the view was fantastic! Huge thanks to the staff for their thoughtful service. Breakfast was decent; as vegetarians, we mostly stuck to the bread, and the European pastries and croissants were perfectly baked. The coffee was good too, and the restaurant was clean, making for an acceptable dining experience. The gym was well-equipped, with a great selection of weight training machines. The housekeeping staff was very diligent; our room was always spotless when we returned from breakfast. While the room facilities were a bit dated and the shower door was quite noisy when opening and closing, the overall stay was still comfortable. The only downsides were that we couldn't extend our stay for more nights and there was no self-service laundry room. The laundry service provided by Hyatt had inconvenient hours. This might be fine for a short stay, but it would be quite inconvenient for stays longer than two weeks. Overall, the Hyatt experience was excellent and well worth a stay when visiting Lanzhou, especially for the stunning night views of the Yellow River.

We stayed at the hotel in late 2025.3 Everything exceeded our expectations. When I book, it seems the location outside the city is a drawback of this hotel, which is compensated by a free pickup. But for a sightseeing trip in ZhangYe and with services the hotel has to offer, the location doesn't matter at all. Not to mention that the hotel's car+driver offer is quite competitive compared to what we have pre-booked. ###Room###: The room was spacious with comfortable beds and lots of amenities. WiFi speed is decent. There is also a public washing & drying machine, where the maid offered to wash our clothes. ###Restaurant###: The breakfast was plenty. The dinner offer a wide variety of local and standard dishes at an accpetable price. We got a free decent late night snack/dessert (with milk for children) delivered to the room at night. ###Staff###: The staff was very attentive. It started with the driver waiting at the train staion exit. Then we were greeted at the hotel by a staff with a good command of English. The staff has good knowledge of sightseeing spots in ZY. At dinner, the staffs made their best to help us understand the menu, patiently expained the food choices, as well as help estimate how much food we should order. (We are traveling with 2 children.) When we arrive back at the hotel in the evening, they enthusiasticly offered to help carry our stuffs. Tips are not expected nor accepted. If I have to comment, a moisturizing lotion and extra blankets in the room would help when the weather is cold. This hotel will definitely be my first choice if we ever come to Zhangye again.

The hotel covers a large area and has a beautiful waterscape and garden environment. The magnolia flowers bloom especially beautifully during the Qingming Festival! The hotel lobby and guest rooms are not in the same building. The guest rooms are composed of multiple 3-story independent buildings. There are many parking spaces and convenient parking. The restaurant is in the lobby, with a good environment and convenient dining. There is a separate water bath, and guests staying there have discounts on tickets. The overall environment, sanitation, safety and service of the hotel are very good, and it is very worth staying.

This hotel looked incredible! From top to bottom, it was clear that the designers took style seriously. The rooms gave off a sense of luxury that few other hotels in this process range have. The carpets, floors, doors, cabinets, beds etc. emitted a sense of tranquility, which made me feel very comfortable. Also, after travelling around China for nearly a month, I can say that this was by far the best breakfast I've had at roughly a dozen hotels. The staff were professional, everything was very clean, and the location could not have been better. My only issues: there was no air conditioning, and my room was very hot at night. Additionally, when the rooms next to you are watching television, you can hear everything in your room.

Location is good, staff friendly and able to speak English, very helpful and nice. The room was decently decorated however there were a few inconveniences you would not expect from Hilton. Curtains were missing, noticed too late, in the morning the light was so bright through the sheer, my sleep was disturbed. The room was extremely hot (27 degrees celsius) while the ac was working it still felt too hot. The mattresses felt somewhat different from other Hilton hotels. I struggled falling asleep and kept waking up throughout the night. The internet speed is locked behind a Hilton membership (2025, having wifi locked behind membership is insane) The bathtub didn’t have any toiletries nearby, if you want to take a bath and wash yourself you will have to get out of the bathtub and reach for the shower gel or whatever else you need or bring your toiletries with you and put them next to the bathtub before getting in. The view was nice however the sofa in front of the big windows with the city view had stains and dark spots on it making it a bit uncomfortable to sit on it for too long.

Good hotel at the convenient location. Near by a bus stop where you can take a bus number 4 to the Jiayuguan Fortress. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Breakfast is very basic.

During my trip to Lanzhou, I chose to stay at the Crowne Plaza Lanzhou. The experience was truly wonderful! The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the Yellow River. The room offers a stunning view of the river, which is even more captivating at night. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, and even recommended nearby attractions during check-in. The lobby is spacious and bright, and the cleaning lady was courteous. The room was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The Western restaurant's beef noodles for breakfast were authentic and delicious, and the restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes. The only downside was that check-in was a bit slow due to the high volume of guests. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in Lanzhou. Highly recommended!

The deluxe view room is spacious and bright, elegantly designed, and the comfort level exceeds expectations. I was told that the hotel is still in the trial operation period. I feel that the hardware configuration is high-end, but the service level needs to be improved. Based on my personal experience, I would like to make the following suggestions: 1. Smoking areas and non-smoking areas must be clearly defined and the hotel must strictly manage them. I personally experienced a guest smoking in an elevator that was marked ”No Smoking” and was shocked. There are ashtrays everywhere in the room and lobby. Does that mean smoking is allowed everywhere? Indeed, I encountered guests sitting in the lobby's reception area smoking many times. This is the first time I have seen such a high-end hotel. 2. The toilet in the room did not flush properly. I reported it to the front desk twice and called the room twice, but no one checked and dealt with it during the entire stay. Flushing after using the toilet depends on luck: sometimes the toilet flushes, sometimes it doesn’t, which is really embarrassing. 3. The guest rooms are not equipped with refrigerators, and it is difficult to store the Chinese medicines that my parents brought. 4. There is no safe in the guest room, which is a bit surprising for a hotel of this level. 5. The service staff was quite enthusiastic, but it was a bit inappropriate for them to knock on the door at 3pm and ask if the room needed cleaning. The guest room had clearly been tidied in the morning, but it woke up the elderly who were taking a nap. Is there no record of the room being cleaned by the housekeeping staff? 6. Booked 2 deluxe view rooms for 2 nights. After checking in, I found that the two rooms were different, and one was much smaller. I went back to the front desk and was changed to another room with a view. I'm just asking, does the hotel guess that guests won't be able to tell the difference between the two rooms? Why not assign rooms according to reservation? 7. The bed is comfortable and the bedding is cozy.
