The location of the hotel is perfect, only 10 minutes away walking distance (with an infant) from Terminal 1, making it super convenient for us. We loved the renovation of the hotel and the beautiful view from the open garden. Our room is very spacious, making it a wonderful place for my baby to walk and crawl around to burn some energy before our flight. I really liked the mini toiletries provided the hotel - the smell reminds me of lavender farm I visited in Australia. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on too! Unfortunately we couldn’t sleep overnight due to our departure time! I paid extra for buffet dinner. Not cheap but worth the money. You can find a big range of food options. I would have loved it if I was a big seafood fan as the seafood session was impressive! However I did enjoy the other food, including sushi, Chinese dishes and the icecream! Overall my baby and I had a great time staying in the hotel, and we would happily recommend it to our family and friends!

The hotel provided an excellent and very warm welcome. There is a convenient vehicle service between the hotel and Bipenggou parking lot, just contact the hotel via WeChat. All the staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The room was clean, new, and modern, build quality are excellent. I was truly impressed. The hotel also offers a hot spring in the evening, laundry facilities, and an on-site restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and was very impressed. Travel with Group of friends with 3 bookings each with different types of room. Great rooms, strategic location & great service by the hotel! Staffs are very helpful and accommodating. Love the hotel, love the view. When we came we were greeted by the sun, then the next morning it was snowing! The view was mesmerising from our room. Highly recommended to come and visit! The Sungold Designer Hotel boasts an absolutely unbeatable location for exploring Chengdu. We were staying for multiple days, the thoughtful staff upgraded our room, which was a wonderful surprise. It is placing you right in the heart of the city's most trendy area. You are just a short walk away from Taikoo Li high-end shopping, cafes, and unique architecture. Getting around the city is incredibly easy from here. The hotel is very close to the Metro Station, making it simple to hop on the subway and explore further-flung attractions. There is also a Lawson mini-mart conveniently located right downstairs for any snacks or essentials you might need during your stay.

Walaupun saya agak kecewa kerana tidak melihat sebarang monyet sepanjang perjalanan ke Emei ini, saya sangat berpuas hati dengan hotel ini.Nisbah harga/prestasi sangat tinggi dan saya akan memilihnya lagi lain kali saya berpeluang! Nice river view from room. Spacious room. All see thru glasses for toilet and shower no block at all, strange design. Hotel guests were very noisy. Floor of breakfast room was slippery because of the food. Local rice noodle soup was delicious. Generally is not up to Hyatt standard. There are coffee shops and food nearby.

The **Grand Hyatt Chengdu** is a solid luxury option right in the heart of the city on Chunxi Road, with great location perks for shopping and exploring. **Service** stands out positively—staff are attentive, courteous, and helpful throughout the stay. The **breakfast** is average: it has variety, but nothing particularly memorable or standout compared to other high-end hotels in Chengdu. The on-site hotpot restaurant (#8) is a real highlight—authentic Sichuan-style, with excellent quality ingredients, flavorful broths (like the mala options), and a fun, casual vibe. Definitely worth trying if you're into hotpot; it's one of the better ones in the area. On the downside, the place feels a bit run-down in spots, likely from cost-saving measures—some areas show wear, maintenance could be better, and it doesn't always match the ”Grand” Hyatt polish you'd expect. Also, beware of checkout around 12:30 PM—lots of guests seem to leave at the same time, creating a rush at the front desk and elevators. Requesting a late checkout is a good idea if your schedule allows, but plan accordingly to avoid the peak crowds. Overall, a decent stay for the location, service, and that standout hotpot, but tempered expectations on upkeep and breakfast. I'd give it **3.5–4 out of 5** based on this experience.

The photos make it seem like this hotel occupies its own standalone building, but that isn’t the case. It is actually located on the 15th and 18th floors of an older building, which makes the overall experience feel less premium than expected. While the hotel floors themselves have a modern, futuristic design, the contrast with the rest of the building was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the room we booked did not have a window, which was not clearly communicated in the images on trip.com, which did disappoint us. During our visit, there was also very loud construction noise. To their credit, the staff responded promptly and moved us to another floor. However, the noise was still noticeable even after the room change. The hotel offered a 5% discount as compensation, but we felt it was insufficient given the inconvenience caused, especially since we would also not be able to collect Trip.com coins for this stay. As a result, we declined the offer.

We arrived late at night after 23hrs travel from our home in the UK, we receptionist gave us a very warm welcome and understood our need to get checked in and into our room, they could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Fresh fruit and snacks were waiting for us in the room and plenty of bottled water. The breakfast is a buffet style setting with plenty of choice, I asked if there was poached egg and although these were not available the chef prepared me 2 perfect poached eggs . I sat and watched the sunrise behind the bridge adjacent to the hotel whilst enjoying a nourishing and plentiful . When we returned to our room we noticed that the fridge was not working, we contacted reception and a brand new fridge was delivered and installed within 30mins. We used the laundry on our 3rd day, I spoke to a member of staff who said that she would get it all dry and deliver it to the room so that we could get out and about. This is my 3rd stay at this hotel and each time has been a pleasurable experience but this time it was so special and it genuinely felt like home. A special mention to the 2ladies on reception who were so helpful and also gave us free breakfast on our last morning because we were regulars. Xiao Zhang and Xiao Luo
