This is a hidden gem, especially the restaurant, which had the best food of our trip. Some reviews said taxis didn’t like going there because of the rough road at the end, but our driver had no problem with it. Some reviews said it was moldy but our room was clean , spacious, and even had a bidet. The hotel restaurant and pool have a great view overlooking the Paraná River. The grounds are charming, with a mission motif. Service at the restaurant was impeccable, and prices extremely reasonable by US standards. The bill for ojo de bife (ribeye) which seemed like a filet mignon to us, mashed potatoes, chicken with rice and vegetables, an excellent bottle of Mendoza Malbec, and a passion fruit mousse for dessert, came to about $50 including a generous tip. I believe non-hotel diners are welcome. We stayed at Iguazu Jungle Lodge two nights before and everything was superior here at a better price, only because-it is off the beaten path. Highly recommend.

Large hotel ideally located for visiting Iguazu Falls complete with spa and swimming pool in a wonderful garden setting. Our room was large and very well equipped with a balcony overlooking the garden with its tropical plants. There is a screen attached and you are advised to use the screen to stop any wildlife/creatures entering your room. Air conditioning was efficient and was well used when we visited as we found the heat outside very hard to deal with. The breakfasts were plentiful and would suit all tastes. Bar snacks and evening meals were well presented and tasty and along with drinks were reasonably priced. All staff were very pleasant and helpful and due to the remoteness of the hotel they will arrange taxis to take guests in to the town of Iguazu and further afield. We enjoyed our stay.

There’s a few souvenir and snack shops, and lots of locals sitting drinking mate, carrying their flasks and gourds - an authentic Argentine moment! This is also where you get the bus to the national park, and one good reason for choosing Amerian Portal Del Iguazu is this bus stop is where the service begins, and by the time the bus reached the town centre it was jam packed with tourists. It’s a long journey to the park so a bus seat is the best way to start the day. I chose to eat dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Great value for dinner, and ok hotel food, nothing to write home about. The breakfast was better, with lots of options. Overall, a 4 star hotel. It definitely isn’t a 5 star rating. One final tip, take mosquito protection with you. I had some really bad bites from the pool area that needed attention when I returned to Buenos Aires. Ouch!

Came over after a terrible experience at Rainforest and it was like heaven on earth. The hotel is conveniently located with a bus stop 5 min walk outside that takes you to the airport and the waterfalls at hourly frequency. There is also a taxi operator right across the hotel. The hotel staff immediately walked out to assist with our luggage upon our arrival and was extremely hospitable. A complimentary 25 min visit to the sauna was included, gimmicky but it was a nice touch. The room was large, spacious and clean. AC was reliable as was the hot water and water pressure. Breakfast was basic but there was a large spread. We had an enjoyable experience.

Staff were super friendly and left a note and cake for my bf when it was his birthday. Unexpected and very sweet. Great at giving different options for transport around the area. Location couldn't be better a minute walk to the bus terminal. We used the bus every day travelling to iguazu falls Argentina and Brasil side.

As we drove to La Aldea lodge from the airport, I noticed a lot of typical hotels along the highway. They looked nice, but there was nothing really special about them. Then we turned down a country road with horses, on to a gravel drive surrounded by jungle. This hotel is different! Inside the lodge which had high ceilings and magnificent carvings and paintings, we were met by friendly staff. It took a while to check in but once we did - wow. We exited the rear of the lodge and were on raised paths surrounded by jungle! All the cabins are grouped off the paths into small lots of four or less, and have animal themes. There are helpful signs to the shared facilities like an all purpose room - great for families to get together, and the pool area which was massive. The drinks were amazing, delivered pool side, but the service was a little hit or miss. For example, sometimes drinks would take ten minutes or one hour! They also took almost four hours to deliver my room service one day, but I was sick and sleeping on and off so I didn't mind. They were SUPER apologetic though. The buffet breakfast was awesome, but the rest of the food was average. My friends had to send out for some medicine for me as I became quite ill with a cold that had run through our entire group. The hotel staff were really kind and helpful with getting me what I needed. I had my laundry done once which was great but you can only send small baskets, instead of large bags, and there are no DIY services for laundry. However, it all came back super clean and folded, and completely dry. The rooms were really comfy with excellent aircon, hot showers, and our own private balcony with hammock. This is the jungle, and we did have insects and more on our balcony, plus a giant leech and some insects inside as well. However, this didn't bother most of the people on our trip and was not an issue at all. If you are really anti-bug, probably don't stay in the jungle! Overall though, the atmosphere of this place cannot be beat. To be surrounded by jungle, to see wildlife all around you and hear it, even down to the little 'lodge cats' that meander here and there - let's call it the vibe. The vibe was epic. I would give five stars if the facility get a little more streamlined with their processes and the food improves, but would I stay here again? In a heartbeat.

Good location but room (earth room - with balcony) was run down and smelt mouldy. The bathroom in particular looked shabby, with stained sealant and holes in the tiles around the shower attachment. There was no complementary water provided in the room, and no kettle. The mosquito netting around the balcony had been badly patched making it look unloved and scruffy. Staff in restaurant and bar seemed completely uninterested in providing any service. It could be a lot better with a bit of management.

The hotel is in a funny location, nestled amongst houses in what is a completely residential neighbourhood. But, it's a pretty easy 10 minute walk to the centre of town, where there are plenty of places to eat. The guy who checked us in was lovely and spoke very good English, which was helpful for us, but he was sooooo incredibly slow! We had a driver from the airport who dropped us to the hotel, and then was going to take us back to the falls. She waited at least half an hour while we dropped our bags and registered. (As it was early, and as expected, the room wasn't yet ready). The roof top pool was nice with views, particularly as a storm blew through, but it was a funny colour. Our room was a decent sized triple, and was ok. It was clean enough, but the room and bathroom both felt dated despite the hotel not really appearing to be that old. The lifts felt a bit dodgy though, and were often out of service, and the cooling in hallways and some other public spaces was ineffective to non-existent. Breakfast was included, and again was just ok. We wanted to stay close to the centre of town, and this hotel ticked that box at a reasonable price. There are probably better options a bit out of town with a more resort-type vibe, which is not what we wanted. I wouldn't rush back here, but it served its purpose for this trip.

Su personal es super amable y atentos a todas las necesidades. El desayuno impecable, mucha variedad y calidad. El restaurant por la necha con una carta muy variada y comida super rica y lo mas importante, los precios super accesibles. Sin dudar volvería.

A hidden gem in Puerto Iguazu! An oasis of relax, laid back ambiance all in lush greenery. I extended my stay cause I simply wanted to take advanatge of this calm surrounding. Great, clean and big swimming pool, cozy sunbeds to make your chill time even more perfect. The beds are very comfy, we stayed in the adjancted room with kids - I do recommand for families. Typical Argentinian breakfast with yummy medialunas, but also eggs, ham and cheese, toast, cereals and fruits - even though repetitive, you can eat well. The staff is super nice and supportive, thums up for all of them - we felt greeted by all of them. I highly recommand this hotel!

O hotel fica bem localizado no centro de Posadas. Os quartos são bem limpos e arejados. O café da manhã eh bom, com meia lunas, frutas variadas e iugurtes. Tudo funciona bem! Não tem estacionamento no hotel, mas facilmente consegue estacionar em frente. Os Brasileiros não são cobrados por deixar seus carros estacionados nas ruas e avenidas de Posadas.
