I stayed at Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge from 8–10 December 2025 and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt relaxed, welcomed, and surrounded by nature.
The lodge itself has a warm and cozy atmosphere, with beautiful views and easy access to the walking trails. My room was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed — the perfect place to unwind after exploring the national park. I loved waking up to the peaceful sounds of the forest and seeing wildlife around the property.
The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. They were always happy to help with recommendations and made the stay feel very personal. I also really enjoyed the food at the restaurant — delicious meals with a great selection, and lovely settings for both breakfast and dinner.
What made this stay truly special was the combination of comfort and nature. It felt like a retreat, but still had all the conveniences I needed. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and very happy with my time here.
I would highly recommend Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge to anyone visiting Cradle Mountain.

We love this hotel. They got very great staff. They are kind and very helpful. The facility is all working well like car park, kitchens staff, washing machine and dryer. They got zoo in the property but we did not have time to visit.

Great location for visiting Cradle Mountain, and a big plus is that after 6pm you can drive to Dove Lake yourself, which made it very convenient. The breakfast was average, nothing special, and the price was a little on the expensive side. However, overall it was still worth it for the location and convenience.

Splendid experience at the Gorge Deluxe Room. Very clean and spacious with a lovely view of the river and hills nearby.
Plenty of hiking routes available nearby which is ideal for those looking for a good walking experience.
For dog lovers, walking Archie (the silo dog) is also a great add-on! First time for us walking a dog at a 5-star hotel.

We arrived in the evening and couldn't find the reception because the office was closed and in total darkness. Subsequently managed to find one to check us in. Room was basic and toilet is extremely small.

WWinWin FWYThis hotel is flawless! It's located incredibly close to the park entrance, so you'll see lots of small animals right by your room. The surroundings are beautiful, and each 'cottage' is a private, large individual house with a fireplace – very comfortable. The only minor downside is the lack of Wi-Fi, which could be improved upon. While breakfast isn't particularly surprising, it's more than adequate. We also tried the dining options during our stay, and the food quality was excellent. I believe this is an outstanding choice for a trip to Cradle Mountain.

Room amenities are quite basic, and the view is limited, offering only a glimpse of the river without much else to highlight. The hotel's surroundings are relatively isolated, mostly factories and tool shops, so local conveniences aren't readily available. The building seems to be a conversion of an old granary, offering a strong sense of space, but the overall atmosphere feels a bit stark and lacks warmth. It's more suitable for a brief stopover during a journey or a business trip; for a vacation or leisure stay, the experience might feel rather ordinary.

CCecilia.YWe were very satisfied with this hotel. We arrived after reception hours, so the hotel left the key in a key box for us. They replied to our email quickly on the day, and we checked in without any issues. The facilities are also very comprehensive, including a pickleball court, a basketball court, and self-service BBQ grills. If you plan to dine at the hotel restaurant, be aware that you need to do so before 7:30 PM.

2) the hotel restaurant's staff are also very friendly.
3) the slight drawback is that the hotel only provide 3 Gig internet data usage per device per day which is insufficient for heavy user. I would expect no capping, especially from a 4 star hotel.
4) no certified personal care cleansing products are provided, whereas other lower star hotels have these ready for their guests
5) the labelling of vegan foods at the restaurant is confusing, with vegan and vegetarian labels being mixed up

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is absolutely good. Each villa has its own name. The car is parked directly at the door. It is very convenient. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room are facing the nut stone. You can enjoy it on the sofa or balcony. The kitchen equipment is all available. You can make your own dinner. There is a big bathtub in the room. It is very pleasant to go to bed and rest after soaking. The only downside is that the hotel's so-called breakfast is actually breakfast-included materials, all in the refrigerator, egg bacon, etc., but it is a bit unexpected to make it yourself.

GGuest UserThe room is very beautiful and the balcony has a beautiful view. The cabinet in the newly opened room on the first floor tastes very big, so big that the eyes are uncomfortable and the throat is sore. Everything else is perfect, the bathroom is very large and the kitchen is not bad.
