The hotel is located in a very convenient area, close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions — everything is easily accessible within walking distance.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Their warm smiles and professionalism made my stay truly pleasant and comfortable.
I was impressed by the clean and spacious room, the comfortable bed, and the hotel’s attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and guest comfort. The free laundry service and unlimited mineral water, tea, and coffee were thoughtful touches that added great value to the stay.
Overall, a great experience with excellent facilities and service. I would definitely choose Yongchang International Hotel again on my next visit to Yulin!

Location is exactly inside Huaqing Palace and you can enter the attraction area freely for free.... Calm, chill, relax & retreat area.... at night sky full with stars.... hotspring in the room is perfect... they provide delicious dessert soup every night which is so good during cold winter weather.... water bottles & free fruits provided not enough can ask for more...buggy service to fetch you restaurant area & hotel entrance. Hotel breakfast has lots of variety & delicious too... Recommended to stay for 2 nights for full experience where you can spend more time in the Huaqing Palace & Lishan Mountain... they have a very beautiful outdoor public hotspring pond area too.... Amenities there the display can be improve, instead of using small bottles can suggesy to use big bottle refill with luxury design bottles to match the 5-Star hotel....

The hotel looked very good and clean, the receptionists were super nice, and I cannot rate it less than 5 stars! Though, the area where the hotel is located doesn't look very good because it's populated by poor people. There is a nice and big mall at 10 minutes by walk and the metro station is not too far either.

Everything met my expectations for comfort and good service.
The room was nicely furnished, very spacious, and felt peaceful and private. The hotel's location is convenient, and the whole atmosphere is pleasant and well-kept.
I was especially impressed by the staff. The front desk team was very professional and took care of everything we needed. The housekeeping was also excellent—they kept the room spotlessly clean without ever being intrusive.
The whole stay felt smooth and relaxed, which is exactly what you want. It’s the kind of consistent, quality experience that makes me definitely want to stay here again when I'm back in Xi'an.

We were in this hotel 2 days. Breakfast was very tasty, Chinese and European food and drinks. The staff is very friendly. They helped me with all the requests we had.
We visited the hot springs and were very pleased, the temperature was from 30 to 50 degrees, with various additives inside: herbs, fruits and even wine. I also visited gym, its simple but functional.
I recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to visit this city and enjoy good service.

Front desk and all the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the hospitality!
Room for improvement is: rooms at second floor will be suffering the smoke smell due to the SPA at same floor operating till midnight 4am. The SPA customers are smoking there and the smoke is sneaking into the room. Very bad for health.
Also suggest to install hanger inside bathroom for cloths and towel hanging. Currently zero hanger in the bathroom.

Perkhidmatan pelayan peribadi Tongtong sangat baik. Bilik tidak bersedia semasa saya pergi ke sana Bilik itu agak sejuk pada waktu malam dan menghantar pemanas udara. Terdapat terlalu ramai orang di kolam air panas, dan pengalamannya adalah biasa. Terdapat bayaran untuk syurga haiwan peliharaan yang comel. Terdapat caj tambahan sebanyak 138/2 untuk memberi makan, yang agak mahal. Terdapat juga kuda di hotel, dan kanak-kanak berseronok menunggangnya. Saya juga menonton rancangan itu Secara umumnya, saya mempunyai perjalanan yang menyenangkan dan anak-anak saya menyukainya

LLandaorenI hadn't stayed at Sofitel Legend before, but I had twice stayed at the Sofitel and Mercure hotels next door (Mercure has since closed down). However, I've always had an irresistible attraction to hotels with a rich history, especially those converted from former high-level government guesthouses (let's call them 'old money hotels').
While planning where to go for the 2026 Chinese New Year, a short video platform surprisingly pushed this hotel that had always intrigued me. I checked the prices, and compared to other five-star hotels in Xi'an, it was significantly cheaper, so I booked a New Year's Eve stay.
Upon arrival, the doorman promptly opened the car door and helped with our luggage, which goes without saying (though, to be fair, many five-star hotel doormen nowadays lack such proactiveness). The front desk staff efficiently and smoothly handled the check-in process, offering a choice of champagne, coffee, or black tea as a welcome drink. While resting in the lounge area, I happened to see a few young women taking photos in the hotel's coffee corner, adding a lively touch to the atmosphere.
The attendant escorted us to our room, briefly introducing the hotel's history. Built in the 1950s, it served as a provincial guesthouse, combining Soviet, French, and traditional Chinese architectural styles. The complimentary bottled water was also in Tetra Pak packaging, reflecting the hotel's commitment to green practices.
During our stay, the restaurant's host remembered our preferences by the second day. The 'shui盆牛肉' (beef soup) with 'baiji mo' (flatbread) was incredibly fragrant and chewy; I almost wanted to pack some to take home. The butler service was also impeccable, with turn-down service promptly at 7 PM every evening. The local specialty drink, 'Bingfeng' soda, was a delightful taste sensation. On the morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, the hotel arranged a lion dance performance – I never expected to see a Southern Lion dance team in Xi'an.
Although the hotel only has 71 guest rooms, excluding the few business presidential suites that are rarely occupied by ordinary guests, there are about 60 rooms. Based on my observations during our 4-day, 3-night stay over Chinese New Year, there were probably only 8-9 other occupied rooms, so the overall occupancy rate wasn't high. Perhaps most people don't choose this place, as its exterior appears very understated and discreet. However, I highly recommend it, especially when traveling with elderly family members. The location is super convenient for getting around, just a 10-minute walk from Wulukou Station on Metro Line 1 (right next to Minleyuan and Wanda Plaza).
I'd love to stay here again next time I visit Xi'an, haha! 😄

GGuest UserThis was my third visit to the Huaqing Palace, and it was only by staying at this hotel that I truly understood what Huaqing Palace is all about and why it's so special. To truly appreciate it, you have to experience Huaqing Palace under Mount Li after the crowds have dispersed at dusk and before they arrive in the morning. While there are other decent hotels nearby, this is the only one located within the Huaqing Palace grounds. Almost every room comes with a private hot spring, and I particularly recommend the rooms with an outdoor private hot spring – the experience is simply wonderful. The hotel staff are all very friendly, and the restaurant is quite impressive; I had all my meals at the hotel during my stay. Although the restaurant is a short walk from the hotel, there's a shuttle service, and it's not a long walk anyway. On a nice day, you can even enjoy the scenery along the way and digest your meal. All in all, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way, with no disappointments whatsoever. If I come back again, it will definitely be my top choice.

GGuest UserLove love love this hotel!!! I stayed with my friend in a 2 bed 2 bath room for 8 nights and it was extremely spacious and comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the beds super super super comfy ( I could sleep it in all day but my itinerary was super full). The photos online are quite true to the actual room. They had extremely good service too, starting from the airport pickup, where they were on time and the car was spacious and luxurious! We did the 5 seater sedan at RMB100, the price is comparable to a didi premium but the difference is that they would track your flight and made sure to you were taken care of. The hotel even had Butler service and was very attentive, I could even get them to help store my friend's birthday cake sent from the local cake shop and send it up to us when we were back. The laundry service was handy for a long stay, it was easy to use (and we were on the same floor so it felt like home to just go to and from our room to the laundry room). They even had special prices for popular shows, easily saving more than 50% of the listed price. Thanks for being a home away from home! PS the cats on the 2nd floor is super cute!

GGuest UserI thought this hotel’s standards fell somewhat short of what we are used to with Banyan Tree properties. Partly, it is older. Partly, cleaning staff were careless. Partly, some design choices made the room hard to maintain.
The toilet and bathroom were tiled with travertine, a highly porous stone which traps moisture and encourages mould growth. The toilet smelled of pee due to urine droplets absorbed into the porous stone. The shower cubicle had very bad mould stains, again, due to the porosity of the stone.
The cleaning lady had a great attitude, friendly and warm. Unfortunately, her cleaning standards were low. There was a layer of dust on the balcony’s handrail. She slapped her cloth over to dust and after she left, the dust settled again. She cursorily cleaned the toilet and shower area… and after she left, the strong pee smell was still there.
The corridor smelled of smoke. There were 2 air purifiers in the suite. We switched them on but my husband still developed an itchy throat from the smoke pollution.
We complained to the cleaning lady, who cheerfully informed us that smoke smells are to be expected.
Once we escalated the issue, the service recovery was excellent, however. Friendly and warm, a lady moved us to another room that seemed to have seen lesser wear and tear.
In the new suite and corridor, there was no smoke smell. The toilet had only a very faint pee smell.
It was better but still disappointing considering that this is a Banyan Tree property.
Neither of the suites had a Chinese teapot. I was a bit taken aback. I was told that it was available on request. I guess it is because this is a children friendly hotel and maybe pretty teapots break when kids run about? In any case, I suggest a small card placed where the cups and saucers are kept, informing guests that Chinese teapots can be requested.

QQinglan1121The hotel's location is excellent; it's not in the city center, but it's very convenient. There are many great restaurants nearby, no need to wait for a table, and taxis are easy to find. Plus, if you rent a car, you get free underground parking!
The breakfast is absolutely top-tier for a hotel. The roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) was even better than the ones I bought outside over the past two days! The coffee beans are high quality, and the coffee is fragrant, and the fruit is sweet. Since I stayed for three days, I tried most of the snacks; the sour soup dumplings and mutton soup with flatbread are also available at breakfast, definitely give them a try.
The design of the twin room is simply brilliant. The beds are miles apart, each with its own bedside lamp, so you don't disturb each other. It's the best choice for business trips or traveling with friends. What's more, the bathtub, shower, and toilet are three separate rooms, which is incredibly convenient and avoids any squabbles.
Upon check-in, I received a 'doggy cuddle coupon' which allows you to interact with super cute dogs! Dog lovers will be thrilled.
This was my best hotel stay experience. The service at Grand Hyatt Xi'an is simply outstanding among all Grand Hyatt hotels. Before I even checked in, Cherry from the front desk contacted me to confirm my check-in time, room preferences, and any special requests. When I checked in, she explained how to use the pet interaction coupon and helped me register my rental car for free parking. During my stay, even for small requests like needing a bottle of water or shampoo, she responded instantly. I later found out she was actually on vacation when she was replying!
Because my stay was so fantastic, on the second day, I even convinced my friends who were also in Xi'an for an event to switch from their hotels and come stay at the Grand Hyatt! I'll definitely be back next time!!!

GGuest UserOverall fine. Door was very hard to open and close. The heater didn't work and it was a little cold in the room. We wanted to have a snack at night when we arrived around 9:30 10:00 in the evening but the restaurant service was closed already despite the opening hours written as 10:30 pm. New towels every day and breakfast was great. One person spoke English at the reception and helped us for some planning around the city.

GGuest UserThis is a well-established five-star hotel in Xi'an, boasting an excellent location right next to Xincheng Plaza, within the ancient city walls. You can quickly cycle to the Bell and Drum Towers from here. Despite its central location, it's nestled in a very quiet, private courtyard, giving you a sense of peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. Strolling through the courtyard, you can feel the profound historical changes Xi'an has undergone since the founding of the PRC. While some of the facilities inevitably show their age, you can tell they're diligently maintained. Upon arrival, an attendant will help carry your luggage to your room. The front desk staff are incredibly professional and courteous, resolving issues very quickly. Communication with Sofitel Legend Peoples Grand Hotel Xian was also seamless, and they facilitated the transfer of our luggage. I accidentally left a few items behind during check-in, but they handled the communication within minutes and had my belongings delivered to my new room at Sofitel Legend. Knowing our new room wasn't ready yet, they proactively helped with communication and offered a late check-out, making guests feel a profound sense of warmth, like coming home, especially during the New Year period. This level of service efficiency and attitude truly deserves praise. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the freshly made waffles are absolutely delicious – soft, sweet, and chewy. The only minor drawback was the crowd at breakfast during the New Year, but the tables were cleared quite promptly, and the cleaning staff worked incredibly hard.

1. **Pre-Arrival Contact:** No one contacted me before my arrival.
2. **Butler Service:** This hotel doesn't offer butler service.
3. **Kids' Breakfast:** When checking in, I asked the front desk if they could provide a complimentary children's breakfast, but they couldn't.
4. **Hotel WeChat:** I asked the front desk if the hotel had a WeChat account. They informed me that they don't use WeChat for communication and that guests should call the front desk for any inquiries.
5. **New Year's Eve Dinner:** We booked the New Year's Eve dinner for 2888 RMB. The value for money was just so-so, but I guess that's expected for a holiday. They did have a raffle, and it seemed like everyone won a prize, which made up for the value issue a bit.
6. **Post-Departure Contact:** Someone finally sent a message to check in after I had already left.
7. **Executive Lounge:** The executive lounge was quite good, but everything else was just average.
8. **Management Presence:** While having dinner, I saw the restaurant manager. During the day, I also saw the Director of Rooms on the first floor. It seemed like all the other senior executives might have been on holiday!
9. **Stay Duration:** We spent four days and three nights in Xi'an for New Year's and stayed at this hotel for three nights.
10. **Breakfast:** I didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment on it. My child ate my portion. I don't usually eat breakfast anyway, so whether or not a complimentary children's breakfast was offered wasn't a big deal for me.
11. **Comparison with Other Hotels:** My next destination is Kunming, and I'm staying at a Four Points by Sheraton. Even before arriving, the reservations staff actively contacted me, which is a stark contrast to the Ritz-Carlton Xi'an, where no one bothered to reach out.
12. **Location:** The hotel is located in the high-tech zone. Although there's a subway station right outside, it's quite a distance from the city center, so we had to take taxis everywhere.
13. **Nearby Amenities:** There's a shopping mall next to the hotel, and a Starbucks can be found by exiting through the back door on the first floor.
14. **Future Stays:** For someone who only stays at the Ritz, I'd probably stay here again next time. Otherwise, I might consider newer hotels like newly opened Courtyards, Element Hotels, or Marriotts. Newly opened Courtyards are usually quite good!

XXingfudetudoushalaThis was my second stay, and the hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's directly across the street from the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and right at the northern entrance of the Grand Tang Everbright City. You can easily walk to key attractions like the South Square of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Grand Tang Everbright City, and Qin Han Tang Square, making sightseeing incredibly convenient. Plus, there's Joy City just across the road for all your shopping and dining needs – so handy! The hotel's exterior design is simple yet grand, giving off a very upscale vibe. The hotel is clean and tidy, and I have to praise the bedding in the rooms; it's incredibly comfortable! Make sure to visit the Qujiang Art Museum downstairs; the jade carvings are exquisite masterpieces, and the ceramics exhibition near the exit is also stunning. There's even a Picasso exhibition happening now, and it's free for hotel guests to visit. I especially want to mention how warm and welcoming all the staff are. Upon check-in, I was upgraded to an executive room for free, and on the morning of my departure, they proactively arranged a late check-out and gave me a lovely gift. Their thoughtfulness was truly exceptional, and a special thank you to Candy Jonay and the front desk staff for making me feel so at home. In short, if you want to fully experience the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Grand Tang Everbright City area, I highly recommend the Westin Hotel. Five stars all the way!

EExpatBirthday in BaoJi: The Swisstouches Hot Spring Hotel property is nice and involves a Master Plan for “In Tang Dream Town” development. I enjoyed my room spa enough, but there are bath houses, steam rooms, and a spa. I chose to eat dinner in my room and kept to room service for breakfast.
The sleeping is comfortable and the walk with photos. There is a book room, cafe, and some restaurants. I saw a Lego store, but not a gift shop. Multitude of tea houses.
Stayed just one night. An hour from xX’an by train plus 30 minutes to drive. The car ride is 90 minutes from west Xi’an. Lots of families here and property investors. Decor is lovely, there’s shuttle service, and walking areas. Note: Construction in area. Culture block down the street open at night.
