Fab place lovely lodges outside them could do with little clean but suppose it's nature the inside clean an homey all's u need is provided aswel the balcony was amazing way lead onto lake it's self so my son could b up close to ducks without being in water there is watersports shop bar restaurant playarea in an out crazy golf walking around lake is nice and central to go out exploring Windermere 30min drive and had an amazing day there also little chippy 5 min drive on north road think was called was lovely food and ok priced to

We had two rooms booked. 1 room was with elederly parents! The room given was a fair walk and was quite far from the reception area with no assistance only verbal directions. It would've been nice to have had some assistance from staff. When we got to the room the sink plughole was blocked so I rang reception to get it fixed, didn't happen! Questioned reception duty staff and he lied and he said he had it fixed by maintenance when no one even came to look at it! This isn't the service we expected from ‘Mercure’ standard. Leaning over the bath to brush our teeth and everytime we needed to wash our hands after using the toilet we had to use the bathtub. Not sure I read anywhere but to use the swimming facilities the adults have to pay £10 fee. Other than that the hotel is near local shops/motorway as well.

First time using Holiday Inn Good things are Spacious room with great standard Comfortable and clean bed & pillows , and towels ( a big and a small for one person each ) Has kettle and tea/ coffee with treats ( biscuits) Has a hair dryer and an iron with an iron board inside the wardrobe. It has a round table and a sofa chair on top of a worktop table and chair . It has a small gym , a swimming pool and jacuzzi . Can include breakfast and dinner ( has restaurant) and can order to the room ( room service) I only brought bed and breakfast and breakfast is great choices and plenty. Even for gluten free options! Bad things Hotel lift has broken and put me on 3rd floor but I can request the staff to give me on the ground floor ( said last room / no other choice) twin room . It is better to write the request that in the event of lifts are not working to give ground floor or lower floor. Kettle has no sieve ( may be broken before me. ) The sofa chair has a stain before me . Overall very good service and great room and has good facilities.

We stayed over for a night - late check in and out. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We have 2 children, a 4 years old and a 5 months old. We arrived quite late and so were the last table in the restaurant for dinner as well as the last to join the breakfast. However, the staff made sure we have all we needed and tried their best to help us. Impressive service and a pleasant stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the next visit to Lancaster.

The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. We stay in 1 night room no 1 room is big and good size but toilet is dirty toilet smell come in room and whole night sound come from I think swimming pool out side room is soo dirty health and hygiene

Stayed he a couple of years ago and loved it then! Really great location. Close to train station , bus stops, lots of supermarkets and across from a park! Perfect for families, pool on site to book. We had it to ourselves a couple of times. Love this place

Classic building, quiet environment. Very suitable for vacation and leisure. The hotel has a parking lot suitable for self-driving tours.

The location is great, but everything else is quite old and worn out. The service was quite bad, we did not have any towels or water bottles in our room. Upon asking, they said we are ‘supposed’ to get the towels from the receptions. And only the rooms with a fridge will have water bottles. Did not even offer to let us buy any bottles. As it was quite late when we realised we did not have any bottle of waters, luckily found a Co-op in 5 mins distance closing soon, we had to grab them from there. The room had a partial sea view. But the bed was so noisy and squeaky even with the slightest movement. All the other furnitures were very old, no charging or plug points beside the bed. If not for location, because the beach is quiet in front of the hotel, i wouldn’t have even considered it ever again. One good thing about it was the swimming pool, it was very clean but the changing rooms could have been much better. I have booked through Trip.com previously, so I know it has nothing to do with internet or 3rd party booking, it is just a very old hotel. And the pictures are quite deceiving.

Absolutely amazing. Would recommend to everyone to stay here. The service is amazing from the very second you walk into the doors. Will be coming back in the near future.
