"Het hotel ademt naar vervlogen tijden, het was een heel fijn verblijf. De staf was super aardig en dit hotel ondanks dat het wat op afstand ligt van het centrum van Galway is zeker aan te bevelen. Het enige jammere was dat het pullman restaurant gesloten was."

The g Hotel & Spa
9.0/10
Great
Disiarkan pada31 Ogo 2025|Junior Suite
Guest UserI recently stayed at the G Hotel. While there were some wonderful aspects, it didn’t quite live up to the glamorous impression it gives online. The location is a bit away from town and not truly on the lake as described. About half the rooms overlook the parking lot, which is disappointing. The foyer feels more like a three-star hotel — not the luxury welcome I expected. The hallways to the rooms were poorly lit, and the carpet made it difficult to roll luggage, even with a great suitcase.
On the positive side, the staff was absolutely amazing. Every person we encountered went above and beyond, delivering genuine five-star service. The hotel rooms themselves were spacious, stylish, and very comfortable — really lovely once you got past the initial impression.
What stood out to me is that just down the road, the Galmont Hotel lobby was exquisite — exactly the kind of first impression I would have expected from the G Hotel. If the G could match its service and rooms with a lobby and setting to match its image, it would truly be a standout

We stayed on the 5th of September. It's a beautiful hotel.
We enjoyed everything about this place except the unbearable heat in the room. It was impossible to sleep. There was a portable fan but it was very noisy. And even when it's on, it wasn't helpful. No air conditioner. We had a very poor sleep.
And no matter how much we enjoyed the gym, swimming pool, food, friendly staff and the atmosphere of the hotel, we would not stay here next time.

Guest UserLess than 10 minutes by car from Galway city centre, the hotel has its own parking lot. Buffet breakfast seems to be 12 euros per person, typical Irish breakfast. The twin room is a single bed + a double bed.

Nice hotel, But I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathtub. When I added hot water to the bathtub, a lot of dust and even a hair came out.
I had to wash and rinse the tub several times to get it clean.
I understand that hotel service is low in Ireland, but this is a 4-star hotel. The price for rooms is high for Europe. It would be great, at least nice to clean.
Breakfast was great, delicious.

XinjueThe hotel's surroundings are really nice, and there's a parking lot right at the entrance. The Western restaurant on the first floor is delicious, though it closes a bit early on weekend nights, at 8 PM. The room was decent. My room on the second floor had a balcony. Even though there's no air conditioning, the temperature difference between day and night here is quite significant, so it was cool enough in the evenings.

Anonymous UserThe hotel boasts an elegant surrounding environment, distinctive interior decor, and fantastic rooms! Most notably, a welcome reception was held upon arrival, with the owner personally taking photos of guests. At dinner, Chinese and Irish flags were displayed on the tables, and printed photos were given to guests. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the owner and hotel staff were polite and friendly. Overall, a very good experience! Five stars, highly recommended!

Guest UserThe hotel exudes a sense of bygone times; it was a very pleasant stay. The staff was super friendly, and this hotel, despite being a bit of a distance from the center of Galway, is definitely recommended. The only downside was that the Pullman restaurant was closed.
