Hotel Dengan Spa di Medenine, Tunisia

As a family of four from the Czech Republic, we spent a week at the **** Zephir Hôtel & Spa on July 28. – August 3. 2024. It is rather a hotel complex consisting of several connected two-story buildings, some of which have a view of the sea. Inside the complex there is a very nice articulated outdoor pool with a lot of surrounding palm trees, which are constantly taken care of. The hotel grounds adjoin a beautiful sandy beach with plenty of umbrellas and sunbeds, which are provided free of charge. We used two double rooms about 80 m apart. Each room is equipped with a balcony, where there is a table with chairs and a small dryer for swimwear. The beds are quite comfortable. We had small, outdated, partially moldy absorption refrigerators in the rooms. Upon arrival, we discovered that one of the refrigerators could not be closed. Since even after 2 days it was not possible to get the reception staff to take any action, I removed the reason why the fridge would not close, myself. The hotel has central air conditioning which was turned off every morning around 5:30am and didn't turn on until after noon. I confess that if we had known that we were going to a hotel that turned off the air conditioning in the high season, when temperatures reached 35-41 °C in the shade, we certainly would not have chosen it. Due to the heated building, we woke up early with heat and sweat. I don't understand, if the hotel was already turning off the air conditioning, why it couldn't leave it running at least until the time breakfast starts at 6:30, when it is absolutely clear that all the guests are in the rooms. It should be noted that neither the hotel reception with the adjacent extensive lobby is air-conditioned. In the restaurant, the air conditioning only worked on some days and only very weakly. In the rooms for the first two days, the air conditioning, when it was switched on centrally, cooled well. After the remaining 5 days, however, the hotel reduced the cooling intensity, so the rooms could be around 27 °C (plus ubiquitous humidity). Basically, the hotel didn't offer any space where you could rest from the heat. The reception staff did not help us in the case of air conditioning either, referring to the fact that the timing of starting the air conditioning is the decision of the hotel manager. But I would definitely like to highlight the excellent variety of meals and drinks. The hotel operates on the principle of All inclusive, that is, all guests could eat and drink as they pleased. Many types of warm vegetables, various meats and all kinds of side dishes were always available. Also desserts, sliced watermelons and ice cream. In terms of catering, the hotel was absolutely great.

Excellent family hotel with sandy beach like in the Caribbean or Maldives. Perfect food service and buffets with gorgeous food, every day new varieties. Room is clean and big. Ibrahim and Amer made our stay very special and the manager Ramzi made all our requests come true. Thanks for a perfect holiday!

The hotel is beatiful. Hotel was clean and tidy and its right on the nice beach. Food was good. Also the service was nice and smiling, expecially Wassim which was cheerful and smiling to us every day. The ideal worker on the photo below from the bar. I can recommend this hotel if you want to have a nice vacation with a fun

Bonjour, j'ai passé un très bon séjour. Excellent service, une très bonne ambiance a la piscine,le bar musical (la brochette)et le cabaret (les nuits de paris)l'hébergement est nickel propre et surtout le personnel et la direction sont vraiment serviable et aimable. Un grand merci a monsieur khalfalli le directeur de l'hôtel. À refaire. Je conseille fortement.

Staying at this hotel was the most amazing thing! We loved absolutely everything. The beach and pool was fantastic and so clean! Accomodation was really nice a clean, really comfortable! Food was really delicious and there were many choices so everyone could find what is the best for him. Staying there was like a dream! We really enjoyed especially the whole programme made by the greatest team of animators ever. There were no time to get bored! Especially thanks to Nino, he was really nice to us, and of course the best dancer ever, learned us many dance steps! :) beach party, zumba party, spectacles every day, many many games, it was the real fun! I highly recommend this hotel! You wont regret, I swear! Thanks for everything!

J'ai découvert un superbe petit hôtel de charme à l'abri du tourisme de masse qui ternit la réputation de Djerba. Ici, vous vivez dans une bulle de calme et de raffinement au pied de la plage. De la salle de restaurant, vous avez vue sur la piscine et la mer. L'hôtel est décoré avec un goût parfait dans le style local tout en étant très confortable. On note partout un goût du détail qui fait le bonheur des résidents. La chambre est vraiment bien décorée, avec des tableaux, un coin salon, la salle de bain contient des carrelages locaux d'une grande beauté. Il y a des chaînes françaises à la tv. Les repas servis à table, sont délicieux, originaux et copieux. Au petit déjeuner, en plus d'un buffet varié, frais et vraiment bon, on vous sert à table du vrai jus d'orange et des crêpes, omelettes confectionnées à la demande. Le spa propose des tarifs très honnêtes. Il y a aussi un bar à vins avec de la musique . Le personnel est adorable, vraiment aux petits soins. On écoute des musiques douces, le murmure de la piscine et des vagues. Bref si vous avez comme moi besoin de parenthèses ensoleillées réparatrices et de raffinement, votre paradis est ici. Je reviendrai,dès que possible.

A very wonderful and charming hôtel arounded with one of the Best workers helphul with the smile always , hôtel is very clean food is very Nice barman are very gentleman and polite ,one of the Best animation team that you can ever seen, they doing them Best to keep the Day active with different activities and of course we dont forget to mention the night party and shows each night ..thank you all for the wonderful time we splen here , for sure we came back

I spent 1 week in Aqua Resort Djerba Hotel with Family And friends. Children was happy. Was excellent Time. I can recommend it. Everything was perfect. Specjalizujemy thanks for Naila woman in black glasses in reception. She was very, very helpful. Everything what was necessary she done. She organised for me a doctor at night. Specially treatment. Saturday afternoon Pfarmacies was close she had called all placees where my medicament was possible to buy. Really I was in many places on Holiday but woman who good work like Naila was no often. Thank you for Everything Naila

Je suis assez déçue par la qualité des chambres de cet hôtel annoncé comme un 4 étoiles. Le personnel et le directeur sont adorables et très serviables. L’hôtel en lui même est très beau et bien situé. Mais pas de climatisation même en suite exécutive alors que j’ai payé un supplément de 50€ pour 3 nuits. La 1ere nuit en chambre standard n’était pas digne d’un 4 étoiles. Baignoire abîmée, pas de support pour le pommeau de douche, pas de téléphone, un matelas de mauvaise qualité, propreté douteuse bref pas ce que j’attendais. Le restaurant est simple et les plats un peu toujours les mêmes mais c’est bon. Pour ma part je n’y retournerai pas. Dommage encore une fois l’hôtel est beau mais les chambres ce n’est pas top.

The reception team is helpful, smiling and effective in clients needs. This team is managed / well trained by MR Faysal which is always available to make sure the process is respected and smoothly implemented. Anis , Bechir , Sihem : Bravo 👏. Restaurant services are Excellent 👌 under the supervision of MR Badii , An example of discipline, punctuality and perseverance. Clean hotel , Fresh and much variety meals , well maintained, remarkable Garden , huge to walk, practice sport and to feel comfortable during stay. Thank you Royal Garden Palace and keep doing your best !

Positive points: the location of the hotel in the of touristic zone close to shops, discos, restaurants and all amenities. In addition to the friendly staff who tried their best to make the hosts happy. Negative points: check in is very slowly it took for me over two hours even I got my reservation paid online and confirmed, they told me that they received nothing concerning my reservation and they said no rooms are available. It is clearly noticeable the segregation among customers in choosing blocks and rooms.

Don‘t expect anything more than 3 stars. The 3 stars clearly show in every aspect of the hotel. Food/ room/ entertainment. Food is a variety of random food that seems to be made of left overs from day before or lunch. No real theme or line is visible. You won’t starve to death but you aren’t excited for the meals. Which is however okay considering 3 stars. The coffee is delicious. room. Out of 7 days there was 3 days no electricity, the hotel wants you to wait in the room for the handyman. we wasted many hours sitting in a warm room waiting. Unfortunately the balcony door wasn’t secure and more time had to be wasted, waiting to get this repaired. The cleaning staff does their best to supply fresh towels daily and cleans regularly. However the condition of the shower is questionable & partly broken. Pool is clean but not in best condition. Prices for a save differ. We paid 1€ per day when another person paid 2Dinar per day. Working staff expect a lot of tips for their service. Specially at the bar and restaurant. If you want more than a 0.1l plastic cup, you gotta tip generously and frequently. Still no real dealbreaker but nothing that makes you excited. 3 stars. What was most annoying was the entertainment. There was simply no real Animation team. They walk around here and there and try to sell you Tombola tickets for 5€, or sell you shirts or drinks. The frequent program like darts or other games are just done with no real joy or even good equip, and the animation team doesn’t seem to enjoy the games at all. The evening shows are terrible. Very boring, no variety. Comedy and dance. You don’t miss out by going to bed early. Within the hotel there are tons of extra expenses waiting for you: Spa (Ali) and a tour guide (Fathi) Beware of these guys they are the ones for the „scams“ who will try to sell you absolute overpriced trips and spa offers. Same with souvenirs at the beach or the lobby shop or the nearby supermarket. They will do anything to make you believe you got a good offer while they rub their hands. Best is to buy souvenirs from the airport shop where it’s absolutely ridiculously cheap compared to the boutique. Make sure to bring enough sun Sunscreen, since they sell it for 25€ per small bottle. Overall you won’t die but it’s nothing special
