Our hotel, probably located along the road, was incredibly noisy even with the windows closed. I could hear cars whirring outside constantly. During check-in, the front desk clerk didn't ask for my credit card for the deposit and parking fee. The next morning, the room alarm went off twice after 6:00 AM. For unknown reasons, they called again after 8:00 AM to ask if I hadn't used my credit card to pay for parking. It was truly terrible.

NanaxiaojielaileWhen I checked in, the front desk somehow gave my room to someone else. They claimed that a guest with the same surname as mine had arrived the night before and said we were together?! And the other person actually agreed to use their credit card for my deposit? When I explained that I hadn't had a companion arrive a day earlier, they gave me a room key, but when I went to the room, it was already occupied! 😧 We had to go back down to the front desk before they finally gave us an empty room 🙄. As for the room itself, it was clean, but the air conditioning was incredibly noisy. Even after turning it off, I could still hear the loud hum of the air conditioning from the next room. It was also very humid, and I suspect the carpet had been recently cleaned and hadn't dried completely, giving off a musty smell. The only good thing was the location, which is super convenient. There's a skybridge directly to the mall across the street, and the train station is right opposite the mall entrance. The hotel gave us a few drink coupons, which is something, I guess. But I saw all the guests getting drink coupons 😂, so I'm not sure if that was meant to compensate for the mix-up with our room.

Let's talk about the highlights first. The hotel provides a shuttle to the city. Although it is very close, it is inconvenient to park by yourself. The hotel driver is very friendly and the recommended Hemingway restaurant is very good
When checking in, the hotel repeatedly charged the room fee. When checking out, I found out and negotiated but never returned it. After that, I contacted Ctrip to deal with it and gave Ctrip a thumbs up.

Historic Hotel in the Center of Newport. Staff was Friendly and helpful. Rooms were Comfortable and Cozy. My only Complaint is the Hot Tub was Only That, a Hot Tub. There Were No Bubbles! The Pool was Nice regardless.

Guest UserWe were disappointed in our stay. When we booked, we specifically selected ”water view” and the room was advertised as having 2 ”queen” beds. Although perhaps both were technically true, we certainly felt ripped off. The view we had was actually into the atrium where you could technically see the water through a window all the way across the atrium - a couple hundred feet away. The beds may have been bigger than full but were at least 6” less than a typical 60” wide queen. Since we paid extra for the view we didn't feel it was worth the price. The room out of that context was nice, but it had no complementary bottled water or coffee and at checkout we were told that was due to Covid somehow which made no sense to us. The walls were also pretty thin and it felt like someone was flushing the toiled right next to me while I was in bed. Overall it was clean and the staff was friendly but it was not what we expected for $700/night.

15500906888The view is good, but it is too noisy, the house sound insulation is very bad! And the ground turned out to be slanted, the drawer could not be closed, and the Bible drawer was automatically ejected. Hahaha!

ZHENGYONGDue to the late arrival, they did not expect that they updated their passwords twice and sent them via email. I thought it was the password on the email from the previous day, but I couldn't open it, and I couldn't find the waiter. It's really a headache!
