I selected the Intercontinental due to the closeness of the nearest subway station.
Checking in was a pleasant experience and handled efficiently by the receptionist; we were given an upgrade which was great too! Fiona, a staff member, asked to add me to WeChat so that we could communicate throughout the stay if I had any questions or requests while we were staying; that was a nice touch and reassuring to know we could reach-out anytime.
The room was great, and service whilst we were there was the same. Highly recommend staying here if you want a quieter stay in the city, with ease of access to the subway.

the best hotel in my entire Suzhou trip ! Love their bedsheets quality and their tooth brush are of good quality too. Love the decor and their passageway！ u will feel like u are in Japan ! I love the little details like the switches . And fantastic location to the railway stations , 10 mins only ! Definitely recommended for all types of stay and there is laundry cleaning and yes yes yes , the hotel is very NEW and CLEAN

Great location and comfortable stay. The space is clean and modern. The best experience is the comfort of the bed and pillows which provides a very good rest. The height of our room makes the space much bigger. The room design is great. We wondered about the need for separation of the toilet and shower though which made it a little inconvenient. Apart from that, the stay is great, quiet and restful, while just a few steps away from shopping and food.

Booked 2 rooms and requested for rooms next to each other + smoke free room. One of the rooms had a very strong smoke smell while the other didn't.
Staff was generally ok, and kind to help do smoke free treatment by providing air freshner and purifier but it was so bad, I requested a change of room.
Note: room511 was the room with smoke smell.
Limited washing machine and dryer - 2 each but sufficient if you are willing to wait. Great location though. In the heart of food & shopping area. No main drop off point for cars but if you are a light traveler and don't mind walking to the nearest bigger hotel to catch a didi / your ride, this would work.

We had a very pleasant 2 night stay in a corner room with lake view. The room was spacious, clean and came with all the amenities you’d expect from a 5 star hotel (including a welcome fruit basket). Service throughout the stay was excellent. A nice gesture was a small birthday cake and some gifts brought to our room on the morning of our son’s birthday. And last but not least, some butterfly cookies as farewell gift during check-out.

服務：非常熱情，停車場接送，飲料和歡迎水果到位。我遇到的管家叫Leo，提前幾天就聯繫了，介紹了停車、入住等事項，有求必應。非常感謝🙏

My family and I stayed her for a few days during our vacation. We’re from America so it’s not super convenient for us to travel around the cities we visit, but the staff were super accommodating and offered to drive us to and from various sites! Overall, we had an amazing time. We recommend visiting the noodle spot in the hotel and the shaved ice stall at the intersection next to the hotel.

CChuntianrannaifenBooked this place for a business trip to Nanjing and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious, with a large bay window offering excellent natural light. The breakfast spread was extensive, and the shredded radish pancake was absolutely delicious! The lounge on the first floor was also very convenient for business meetings. My foreign colleague traveling with me also spoke highly of it. If I return to Nanjing, I would certainly choose to stay here again.

Check-in Experience
We arrived early at around 6 AM due to the difficulty of booking train tickets during the holiday season. Although check-in was at 3 PM, the staff kindly accommodated us with an early check-in for an additional fee.
Accommodation
We stayed in two types of rooms during our visit:
Single Room - Spacious and located in a peaceful, quiet area of the property.
RV Room - Situated near the camping area where families and friends gather around a large bonfire for singing, BBQ, and games.
**Ratings**
Staff: 8/10 - Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
Shuttle Service: 10/10 - The driver was exceptionally pleasant and always smiling. Since my daughter has asthma and walking long distances is difficult for her, we frequently requested shuttle service between locations. This was especially helpful as ride-share drivers typically drop off at the entrance, which is quite a walk from the rooms and facilities.
Breakfast: 10/10 - Excellent variety of traditional Chinese dishes. They were accommodating when my husband requested takeout.
Cleanliness: 10/10 - Both rooms were clean, including the beds, towels, and bathrooms. As my daughter’s asthma is triggered by dust, I was pleased that the rooms were clean enough that she didn’t experience any sneezing or symptoms. We all slept well for the entire five days.
**Things to Consider**
It’s highly recommended to have your own car, as the property is quite far from the city center.
If you enjoy nature and outdoor activities, this place is ideal. Activities include:
- ATV rides
- Fishing area
- Playground (note: adults are charged rather than children, so it’s more economical for only one adult to enter)
- Small animal area featuring rabbits, ostriches, and llamas (15 RMB entry)
- Train ride (30 RMB)
The coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere and aesthetic appeal, making it popular for photos. The property itself is spacious and perfect for leisurely walks. There’s also a temple nearby, approximately 20 minutes away by car.
**Challenges We Faced**
My daughter developed a fever and experienced diarrhea during our stay. When I called the front desk for help, the staff member wasn’t very accommodating and suggested my husband go buy medicine. This was difficult for us as foreigners who don’t speak the language well. I felt sad and helpless, especially when we couldn’t get any taxis or cabs to pick us up. We wanted to take her to the hospital, but no cabs were available.
However, the next morning, a staff member spoke with me who was extremely kind and accommodating. They even offered to drive my daughter to the hospital, which I declined because we needed to catch our train and she was feeling better after taking medicine. They drove us to the South Railway Station and thoughtfully gave my daughter bags and drinks. It was a very kind gesture that we truly appreciated.

GGuest UserCame to Suzhou from Nanjing for a two-day trip. Checked in late at night, and the front desk staff was incredibly kind. They upgraded our room to one with an open-air balcony – too bad it was raining, so we couldn't enjoy the breeze! Haha. The room was very clean, and the amenities were excellent, even Shuuke toothpaste! They also gave us a pretty little fan when we left. The hotel's location is perfect. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Suzhou!

GGuest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

AAnonymous UserThe rooms were clean and tidy, and they provided everything for kids, including footstools, toilet seats, and toothbrushes. The cleaning staff was exceptionally good. However, the water park staff was a bit indifferent and lacked a welcoming smile. The golf service was quite mediocre. On the other hand, the rock climbing instructors, one chubby and one skinny, were fantastic, making it easy for kids to feel comfortable and relaxed. The evening theatrical performances were also outstanding, and the on-site management was warm and attentive. The desserts at the buffet were an absolute highlight, especially the row of large sliced cakes—simply amazing! The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and is definitely recommended. The duck blood and vermicelli soup for breakfast was also a standout. The front desk service was good; they helped with luggage and guided us to our room. However, the hotel should really provide a map as it's quite difficult to navigate for first-time visitors. With so many activities and staff, it's understandable that service quality can be inconsistent, with some good and some not so good aspects. But overall, the experience was great and highly recommended. Therefore, I give Club Med Xianlin Resort a full five-star rating.

Staff: Super friendly and always ready to assist immediately whenever needed.
Facilities: Perfect for travelers who prefer having everything available in the hotel. Self-service laundry, drying machines, microwaves, and other convenient amenities are provided.
Cleanliness: Exceptionally clean. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are much quieter than I expected. As a light sleeper, I wasn't disturbed at all during my stay.
Room: Very modern smart-controlled rooms with voice-command AI assistance, making the stay both convenient and enjoyable.
Overall, a highly recommended hotel with a great location, excellent service, modern facilities, and outstanding cleanliness.

GGuest UserHighly recommended! Before checking in, I thought it was an old hotel and didn't have high expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. Although the decor is over 10 years old, all the facilities are of good quality. The furniture, carpets, and bathroom fixtures, though a bit dated, had a better feel than what was shown in the promotional pictures. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent! The cleaning was very thorough, and the room had fresh air with no strange odors (no old room smell). The room also offered an open view and was quiet!
The front desk and restaurant staff I encountered during my stay were very helpful and efficient in handling requests and resolving issues. You could tell they were well-trained!
Considering the location, service, and quality, it offers great value for money!
Suggestions for improvement: There was only one tissue box at the washbasin. I recommend placing another one in the bedroom area. Also, it might be a good idea to periodically check the seals in the shower and toilet partitions, as there was a minor leak one day.

The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price.
Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided
Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles.
Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with:
The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter...
If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

GGuest UserWas hard to find as the taxi driver coming from the train station drops you at the crossing and doesn't tell you where to go. He probably doesn't know himself as it's in a pedestrian area and cars can't get to it. If you're getting dropped off from the station you'll need to cross the road and walk towards the pedestrian shopping area.
I arrived early, they allowed me to check in early. Staff don't speak any English and don't attempt to translate using their phone nor give you their wechat hotel number to communicate. My mandarin is minimal. Breakfast wasn't communicated. I proceeded to my room. The room was dusty and didn't appear to have been cleaned. The room I booked had a mini bar but the one they assigned didn't.
I went back to reception. Reception is on level 5. This is me guessing based on the sign board in Chinese characters by the lift when I first got there. There's only one lift. There are stairs which I didn't use. I told them that the room was dirty and missing a mini bar. They told me to wait 30 mins while they got another room ready. No hesitation, no fuss at all.
The next room was a bit better. The room is dated and needs a makeover. The clothes rack is rusty, the bed spread had holes in it. I found lashes stuck on the table. There needs to be a bit more attention to detail with cleaning and dusting. They might only empty the bins, change the bedding. The shampoo bottle was empty. I didn't say anything because I was using my own shampoo. The walls are soundproof. It does get noisy with guests slamming their door, a pub is down stairs and people yell and toot their scooter horn. It's a great location by the river which is always busy. Lots of food choices. To catch a ride, you need to go to one of the many footpaths by the road. Breakfast was good for savoury taste buds. The noodles the first morning were hard and cold. The coffee machine takes three top ups to get a cup. It was pitiful. The gym is just one treadmill. The washing room was great. I got washing done. I stayed here three nights. It was OK for the price I paid.

GGuest UserThe service at the hotel was excellent, they were polite and very helpful. Any questions that you asked, they answered without hesitation. Overall the staff, were the best if I have to compare with other big and small hotels that I have been to. My friend and I booked the hotel together. The rooms were very very nice. We loved them. It was easy to travel around the resort, they have golf carts that can take you around the resort. So many activities to do there. You need to speak a little bit of Chinese though. But in case you don’t they will find someone to help you there.
The hotel package we took included the hot springs, spar and breakfast. It was worth it.
The springs are the best. There is also an infinity pool. The people there are very helpful, great service. It was easy to spot two foreigners but they treated us with so much kindness, especially the man and woman at the fish spring and the little cafe there names: 张浩川, 张刘纪 and 彭玉琴.
So Hentique hotels and resort is huge. The area and the activities you can do there are plenty. You can get on a helicopter(480rmb), boat(272rmb) it includes going to the islands and mountain hiking, horse riding and many more. You just have to come with a good budget. Breakfast is at the big hotel that has a great view of the lake.
Hentique pinecone has different restaurants around, the food is between 100 -300 per person. I suggest you bring snacks because there aren’t any shops close by. The big hotel has a shop where you can buy snacks for a price, and an all day restaurant. We ended up moving from hentique pinecone hotel to the big hotel but paid a little bit more and was worth every penny. The hotel really good, with a nice view, the manager on duty that day August 16th 2023 was the best manager, I forgot his name. His English was very very good. He answered all questions and helped us transfer from 松果 to the big hotel.
Having being in China for a long time, this was the best trip ever, with the best service. We will surely go back to this place.
