Hotel Dengan Sarapan pagi di Daerah Viseu, Portugal

Pela segunda vez visitamos a Aguieira, nesta vez no seu mais recente hotel. No conto geral a experiência foi agradável e cumpriu as expectativas, porém ainda uma grande margem de crescimento. 2 aspeto a considerar (que já tive a oportunidade de partilhar com os funcionários): - restaurante - grande desilusão, caro e fraco de qualidade. Não aconselho em nada o prato de lascas de bacalhau uma vez que foi mais um prato de espinhas com brôa. Em contrapartida, o lombo de boi foi uma agradável surpresa mesmo que ainda pudesse ser melhorado (bastava simplesmente deixá-lo repousar depois de confecionar uma vez que encheu o prato de sangue). O couvert é super básico, e o pão extremamente seco (bastava levá-lo ao forno por 1 minuto e já tinham enganado o cliente com ”pão fresco e acabadinho de fazer”); - ginásio - horário de funcionamento algo limitativo (abre às 9h e para quem se encontre em trabalho e gostava de treinar antes de ir trabalhar, acredito que seja completamente proibitivo). Para além disso, maior parte das máquinas não funcionam/funcionam mal. Tirando isso, de realçar a localização, as facilities, o pequeno almoço e o spa (experiência de massagem bastante agradável). Hotel Avenida is a 4-star boutique hotel right on the Praca da Republica in the center of Viseu. The hotel staff was warm welcoming and helpful (happily taking our bags in the morning before check in so we could explore the city). English and some other languages are spoken if needed. The room was delighful; spotlessly clean and enormous (although I must note that we did get a deluxe double). The bed was clean and comfortable (if a bit on the firm side). The bathroom had a fantastic shower and a new modern tub big enough for a swim (ok, maybe not, but still very big!). In spite of being right in the center of town, the room was quiet and the electric shades worked perfectly. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the fruit and pastries. The hot food selection was a bit sp****, but the selection was hot and kept stocked. We highly recommend this hotel fo visitors to Viseu.

Found an excelente deal for a 4 person family, for a room (usually most hotels only accept max people of 3). Indoor and outdoor pools. The whole family adored the morning breakfast, especially the pancakes. Loved the hot chocolate from the bar service in the afternoon. Staff keep to themselves, not very expressive group of people, but facilities and prices compensate. Near by cafés, shops, walking distance. Great parks to visit with the kids in Viseu.

A gem in the north. It has the old charm. Clea rooms. Good space.Comfortable beds. Good location. Walking distance to center city. A lot of seating area in each level. They were caring and kept the group together. Breakfast included. Quiet location.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est super pour se reposer, dommage qu'on ne voit pas le Douro. Le service est très bien mais très long le weekend. Tout était impeccable et surtout la piscine. Le Spa est aussi très agréable et nous avons profité de la salle de sport. Le personnel est très gentil. C'est sûr, nous réservons à nouveau.

É com muito entusiasmo que aqui deixo o meu elogio ao Hotel Durão. É uma equipa que me acolheu desde o primeiro contacto, a mim e à minha família. Quero agradecer todo o empenho e profissionalismo demonstrado, especialmente pelas funcionárias Carla Costa e à D. Luísa. Profissionais simpáticas e muito prestáveis. Foi feito um pedido especial para uma aniversariante. Estas duas funcionárias, tudo fizeram para que a surpresa se realiza-se nos parâmetros idealizados. Fizeram tudo que estava ao seu alcance para que da chegada ao Hotel, o quarto já tivesse disponível para a aniversariante desfrutar do momento. Desejo as maiores felicidades ao Hotel, em especial às duas funcionárias referidas, que tão bem, representam o Hotel. Bem haja!

Ubicación genial, a un paso del centro histórico. Habitación muy cómoda y bien decorada. Piscina muy agradable, aunque por la tarde está a la sombra. Buen aparcamiento exterior. Personal amable. A mejorar: el desayuno. El café es malísimo, imperdonable en Portugal y en un establecimiento de este nivel.

La peculiaridad que tiene Viseu es que te encuentras a una distancia razonable en todas direcciones de Guarda, Aveiro, Lamego y Coimbra. Un poquito más de una hora de Oporto y Vila Real; por lo que aparte de ser una ciudad preciosa es ideal para moverte en coche y visitar toda esta zona de Portugal. El hotel está muy cerca de la catedral y es una maravilla, de hecho tiene unos salones dignos de un hotel de cinco estrellas; sin embargo las habitaciones son funcionales, de un hotel de ciudad (con todo lo necesario). Muy limpio y cómodo. El primer día te puede ser difícil llegar a él, pero uno vez que te sabes el camino es fácil, tienen parking privado gratuito, pero es muy pequeño, no obstante de no poder dejarlo (que no suele ser el caso) es fácil por alrededor). Carece de piscina y el desayuno es bueno. La calidad precio también es buena y el personal muy amable, eso sí, muy tranquilo, no se sofocan; algo que tengo que decir que también viene bien, por lo estresados que vivimos.

O Hotel atingiu as espectativas que tinha, pois já conhecia o empreendimento e mantêm a qualidade do serviço e das instalações. Relativamente ao preço, o valor apresentado pela Trip foi extremamente competitivo em relação às restantes agências para as mesmas condições de serviço, e mesmo em relação ao preço que seria cobrado pelo próprio Hotel em reserva directa (o que não consigo compreender...). O pequeno-almoço disponibilizado foi de excelente qualidade e em quantidade. O atendimento foi excelente sendo todos os colaboradores em serviço no hotel nesses 2 dias de uma simpatia e eficiência muito acima da média. No entanto, fiquei um pouco decepcionado por a agência Trip, porque até agora, ainda não me ter enviado a Fatura relativamente ao valor pago. A única certeza de que tenho que o pagamento foi efectuado, foi-me dada pelo recepcionista do Hotel que me disse que os quartos estavam pagos, mas que não me podia passar uma Factura pois o pagamento tinha sido efectuado à Agência - o que é natural!). Nesta situação a falta de Factura foi muito desagradável porque reservei e paguei 3 quartos (para nós e para mais 2 casais amigos) e até agora não tenho nenhum comprovativo de pagamento para ”fazer as contas” com eles.

We had a wonderful overnight stay in one of the wine barrel rooms - what fun it was! We loved the view outside, and while the room was a little small, the experience and comfort more than made up for it. We also enjoyed a stroll around the property, a wine tour and tasting, dinner with wine pairings, a poolside afternoon, and delicious in-room breakfast. Wish we could have stayed two nights!

lovely views except that my room was directly across from elevator, had a view of a huge electricity tower just outside the window, had a loudly beeping non working phone and reception staff who didn't care and had zero interest in fixing or replacing it. then a couple with a baby and loudly yapping dog were placed next to my room. the dog started to yap at 6 40 am, the couple apparently continued to sleep, and i had to leave my room and find a quiet place in a very small space. would NOT book here again. the good things are the small pool, which is kept clean, the views so long as you are not in Rooms 9 or 10, and the restaurant, which serves adequate if limited dinner meals. And Daniella is a wonderful staffer and deserves to be part of a more professional and more helpful team.

A nice welcoming reception. All the staff appeared to speak english which is very welcome and always makes me realise how lacking the Brits are at languages. We had a deluxe room which had a spectacular view of the river. It also had a small balcony but no seats so seemed a bit pointless. The heat hit us as soon as we opened the door so we tried to lower the air con to 16 degrees but it remained stifling hot. In the end we had to sleep with the balcony door open otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to sleep in the heat (this was March!) The room was really clean with a fridge and complementary bottled water. They had also provided two miniatures of port, custard tarts and biscuits which were very nice and appreciated. However, there is no coffee making facilities in the room. There were nice toiletries but bolted to the walls as is the trend in eco friendly hotels. The pillows were lovely and soft and the towels nice and big. We had a drink in the bar at lunch time and they serve small dishes & tapas. We had a selection of meat, cheeses & breads which was plenty big enough for two for 15 euro. We had half board so had dinner which was lovely. Well presented dishes which were tasty. Mains were around 25 euro if you didn’t have half or full board. Wine 7 euro for a small glass which seemed a bit steep. No table water offered just bottled water to buy. Breakfast provided a good selection of the usual cold meats, cheeses, pastries, cereal & fruit. There was also a small hot food selection. A carafe of your preferred juice was provided. However, the hot drinks were from one machine which meant there was frequently a queue and they weren’t very hot. Not much to ask for fresh tea and coffee at breakfast. The service in the hotel was very friendly throughout which was appreciated.
