Just spent a two night, midweek break at the Wood Norton Hotel. The house is impressive from the outside. Once inside the interior continues to impress with the wood panelling, the ornate staircases and period features. Outside, the terrace is a great place for drinks, looking across a well kept lawn to an expansive semi-circular balcony providing a fantastic view across the Vale of Evesham. There is a second adjacent, well maintained garden by the front drive and both are a credit to the gardening team. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast were good with all you'd want. We had a deal that included an allowance for dinner each night and although you'd easily spend that plus some, we were very happy with the deal. The staff were helpful and hard working with special mention to the duty manager who served us in the bar, sorted out a 'problem' in our room (which was just us not understanding how the lights worked), then was serving in the restaurant. The most laid-back resident has to be Bear, the black cat who has it made, always in his favourite chair occasionally wondering off to eat or drink. I'd have to try hard to pick fault with anything, all I can think of is the bathroom plug that didn't seal properly (which we have encountered in several p!aces over the the years). So all-in-all we had a great stay at Wood Norton and would recommend it as a great centre from which to explore the Cotswolds.

We were I. A room on the top floor which have a great view. However the room was tired and desperately needs refurbishment. The room was also VERY warm - no heating was on but because the windows are (understandably) restricted in how wide they open there was limited cool air that could reach the room. This meant us having to sleep in a room with a temperature over 28’c which was unbearable.

From start to finish this place was fantastic! Food, service, decor were brilliant! A hidden gem for sure!! The rooms have very recently been refurbished - spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly and took care of everything. Good breakfast selection. The setting is absolutely amazing. Sipping a drink in the sunshine looking over the grounds and then being able to take a walk into the woodland was amazing.

Nice warm welcome, Plenty of parking. Room was a good size with massive bed and a good size flat screen TV. Everything was nice and clean. Bathroom could have been a bit more spacious and the shower had very low water pressure and only just hot enough. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was good all laid on to help ourselves with plenty to choose from. Would have no problem staying here again.

The stay at Bromsgrove Hotel & Spar was a nice stay, receptionist was nice. The room was clean, big and comfortable had a nice tv and everything you need in the room. Only advice I would give to this hotel is prepare cups instead of paper ones. Apart from that everything was perfect. I would stay again.

The Abbey is a very lovely hotel, set in beautiful surroundings. It’s clean and inviting. The bedrooms are spacious and I have to say the bed is the most comfortable that I’ve slept in at a hotel and believe me I’ve stayed at numerous hotels across the world. The staff are welcoming, polite and professional. They’re very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.

Positives- Friendly staff. We got a refurbished room. Nice and clean room with very fresh decor. All power points have USB points. No need to bring chargers just cables. Free guest wifi. Fridge and safe in the room. Access to pool, spa and sauna suite included in room rates. Bar food is excellent, perhaps a little too pricey. Clean towels daily. Blue badge parking at front door but only 3 of them there are another two spaces nearby that could be allocated. No EV charging. Negatives- Power sockets at the headboard are out of sight and difficult to reach. The toilet requires you to sit 45 degrees for a sit down job. The shower door entrance is very narrow especially for a more portly figure. Phone to room not connected requiring me to lie down on the floor to access the jackpoint. No hair dryer but after reconnecting the phone reception sent one up in 5 mins. Bedside light not working. Breakfast was disappointing. It would appear a coach tour party had raided the place 30 mins previously. Tea spoons would be nice too. Hot food was just warm except for fried eggs which were hot. Cereals and juices were depleted. Air con control hanging off wall and not working. Fan provided. Not informed of this issue. Unable to open window at night due to proximity of M5. Overall- I would use this group again and hopefully these small but not insignificant matters are dealt with. The rooms for 2 adults are reasonably priced at £63 per night that includes breakfasts and leisure access. Near M5 but not close to either junction 4 or 5.

The bed was terrible had a terrible night the mattress was so worn out it completely squashed together as I sat on the bed. When I reported it to reception the lady informed me that they were being replaced but for us not soon enough! Sadley as everything else was ok

I recently enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with family voting from Australia, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, Sandor took great care of us. His attentive service made my family feel so welcome. The selection of sweets was divine and we loved the scones and sandwiches as well. Overall, the combination of lovely atmosphere and Sandor's outstanding service made our afternoon tea a special occasion. Can't wait to be back!

Everything you want from a B&B and nothing you don't! After 15 years in the business, Liz & David know what they're doing. High standard of furnishing, cleanliness and lighting. Everything well thought through, including the large cubby hole in the shower so you can take more than one product in with you. As it was chilly, Liz thoughtfully brought up a plug in radiator which worked a treat. They both strike the right balance of friendliness and helpfulness without being overbearing. I brought a takeaway back both nights and plate and cutlery was provided without a fuss and much appreciated. Breakfast was yummy, fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by quality smoked salmon and gluten free bread provided without a fuss, Liz checking I didn't have any other dietary restrictions. It's a 25 minute walk uphill to town to burn off the breakfast, but downhill with any shopping. There are some less hilly walks around the commons nearby, and the ”village” centre has everything you need if you don't fancy a trek up the hill. Parking no problem around the corner and if I'd needed to charge my EV wouldn't have been a problem. Hopefully back later this year, Thanks!
