Hotel 5-Star di Perak, Malaysia

We arrived at hotel early due to our first flight out. Though we are unable to check in, the front desk lady assured us that she already informed the cleaners to get it ready asap.  At breakfast table, we were greeted by a smiling waitress despite a busy schedule for her. At concierge, the staff is so helpful to take our belongings as we have a late departure timing.  Room is generally very clean daily.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay the room was comfortable and service was good. However, the parking area could use more space, and the water heater needs improvement as the water turns from hot to warm after some time.

Everything is good except they ask for deposit of RM 300 and I was told by the counter staff that the deposit require 3 months for refund. I don't think this is legit. Reply from Chatgpt: 👉 A 3-month delay for refunding a deposit is very unusual and not standard hotel practice. It could mean: The hotel is not legitimate or using your money for cash flow. They may have unclear policies (bad for customers).

We stayed here, just the two of us — And honestly… it was everything we didn’t know we needed. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the world slowed down. Just nature, silence, and the two of us. 💧 The villa — Private, peaceful, and beautifully designed. We had our own natural hot spring tub… soaking in warm water under the trees, just talking, laughing, and sometimes saying nothing at all. It felt intimate, real, and healing. 🧘♀️ The caves — Meditation cave was so quiet, we could hear our own hearts. Steam cave felt like a reset for the body. We didn’t rush anything. Everything there teaches you to slow down. 🍽️ Jeff’s Cellar dinner — This was the highlight. Fine dining in a 260-million-year-old cave — just wow. Romantic, calm, and full of little surprises from the chef. We’ll never forget it. 🌿 The overall experience? It’s not just a resort. It’s a space where two people can really reconnect — without noise, without distraction. Just you, your person, and peace. ⸻ We came here to rest. But we left with something more. A calm heart. Slightly away from the city center room we’re decent and spacious. Basic amenities but for the same price, a hotel might be a better deal. For golfers and family who preferred nature over convenience might be ideal.

I brought my grandmother, my mother, and my son for a short vacation, and I must say that without choosing this hotel, our trip might not have been so memorable. My grandmother is a wheelchair user, and I was truly surprised to find the hotel to be almost 99% wheelchair accessible. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful, always assisting us with pushing my grandmother. We nearly missed the chance to enjoy the beautiful seaside near the hotel, but thanks to the kind assistance of the staff, they helped us bring my grandmother there. We deeply appreciated their thoughtfulness and support. I will definitely back to Double Tree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort !

For the first timer like us, we were blown away by the services from the start of the journey toward the end of our departure.We felt extremely blessed to have this level of experiences (one island, one resort) rendered by the hotel.Not only the amenities are adequate and in high standard,but the secluded and privacy amongst in between the guests are the top.
