We checked in the hotel at 3 PM parking our rental car straight from airport no stops to their parking. Which is a lot behind the guard booth with the gate that goes down and up by a security guard who questions and then allows you on the property and tells you where to park. The night we check in our air-conditioning goes out. It’s mid 80s at night with a tropical storm pouring rain. So we had to **** all doors & windows, meaning zero air flow. Next morning we go downstairs and tell them of the problem. They sent 2 different teams of people to fix it to no success. We advised him we will be leaving the property and when we come back later this afternoon if it wasn’t fixed we were ok with changing the room. We walk out to our car to our surprise was damaged in the parking lot. Not by a car but looks like a cart or something hit it. There is an employee/work entrance where I saw all types equipment being carried between cars yo the door. Wise they will look at their cameras. Come to find out that the cameras do not face their parking lot on their property. Even though there is a bar, a restaurant and an employee entrance and work area entrance. Their told us cameras on face the security booth to let you into the parking lot and the front of the hotel. Returning to the hotel and changing our rooms from a king-size bed to a queen size bed which is a $40 difference tonight. That was not refunded back to us, so we were charged for a more expensive room that we were in one night. The 2nd and last night in the second room we noticed the floor was completely wet in the bathroom and figured maybe they had mopped before we came in. We were wrong also wrong. We dried the floor and later that night going to the bathroom both of us nearly fell to the ground because the floor was soaked again. The roof was leaking. Not in one location but all over. The queen size bed mattress was broken literally broken down. To the point if you were within 3 inches to 4 inches away from the edge of the bed the mattress would just roll you off the bed. That morning we informed them will be checking out of the hotel due to one night at a room with no air conditioning, Iour rental car was damage on their property and then taking no accountability, and the third night let’s just call it a wet room with a broken bed. They refunded the other four nights we had scheduled, but would like to give us back the difference for charging us for emergency room the one night. Seven restaurants on their property however we couldn’t get guacamole and took over 1hour 30 minutes to figure out they have frijoles. I asked for a manager everyday as I know the people working the counter we’re not able to fix these issues. We weren’t able to have a conversation until 1 week later after calling daily. This provider gave me $15 worth of credits for my troubles. WOW way to make your customers fell appreciated🏆

We are a group of 17 staying here. Myself in room #311 which is a spacious junior suite. Rooms are OK, except wash basin is not really suitable for a room, rather, a restaurant. Troubles came when I overheard my friend’s laundry was missing an item. Then I quickly checked my laundry and true enough, 1 item is also missing. Right that very night I rushed to the concierge and apparently as it was a shirt, they put it on a hanger, instead of folded. Room #312 trousers were mixed up with other rooms’s trousers, luckily they were from our own group. Could you imagine if your clothes got mixed up with guests who had checked out and didn’t examine the laundry like I hadn’t? Another friend’s laundry got charged over $300 pesos for only 3 pieces. After recalculating then he only needs to pay ＜$50. What happened was that the receptionist charged other groups’ bill to my friend’s! Wifi was also weak and keeps disconnecting. I had to request another wifi password because mine wasn’t working despite numerous attempts, which of course was frustrating. So despite having a spacious room with 2 desks and two chairs, don’t expect to be able to conduct some meaningful work as wifi is unreliable. We chose this hotel as it is located just outside city center so to avoid heavy traffic. But this hotel really barely operates at minimum standards.

Marina Resort & Beach Club is AMAZING. This place is in a prime location close to everything in town. It's across the street from Bahia de Santa Cruz, 10 min walk to ”El Centro” (downtown), and a short drive to everything else. It has a beach club with high-end views of the marina, delicious food, and drinks. Cabo, Cancun, and Acapulco have nothing on this place. This is a hidden gem that will make you regret not visiting sooner. The staff is friendly and extremely attentive. We could not be happier with their hospitality. A five-star resort without the cost. The resort fees include an outstanding breakfast. I highly recommend their molletes. We stayed in room 522 which has spectacular views of the ocean to the left, the pool in the center, and the lush mountains to the right. Million-dollar views, for sure! We highly recommend this place. As I mentioned earlier, the only regret you will have is not visiting sooner;) Thank you to all the amazing staff, especially Max who went the extra mile to make our stay that much more enjoyable even when we thought there wasn't anything left to fulfill. I had the whole family over I was having a business trip and chose to have some days off for the family along with the trip. Best choice in a while.. The hotel is very good, it looks it´s age, but it is well kept, no issues at all. the serve was impecable. the food in the morning was very good, the manager at the restaurant was doing an exceptional service. we had a bad experience at an Independence party in othe venue and I called back to the hotel, we got helped, they saved the party and we had an amazing evening. We did not went into the pool, it was freezing outside and we were not taking chances..

The hotel is great, very comfortable, clean and well designed. Its centrally located and has quick access to most attractions in the city. HOWEVER, they had the brilliant idea to hire a musical group that plays marimba from 9am to 11:30am and would not let us sleep. We were a group of about 20 guests visiting for a wedding and therefore would need to be able to rest in the morning. We all had our sleep disrupted by this music. After the first night I complained to the manager bitterly and asked him to please consider their guests capacity to rest. He responded that this music was part of the hotel’s breakfast experience and he would be playing the music. Again it did not allow us to sleep in the morning. We also had a bad experience with room service. For this reason I consider the experience 1/5 because the service is terrible. It is unbelievable to me that a hotel would bot consider the needs of their guests. We were 20 and all had the same complaint. I hope this comment serves to help then reconsider the decisions they make regarding music in the mornings.

La habitación es cómoda y muy bonita Cosas Malas: - El cancel de regadera no tiene puerta - El servicio de lavandería es pésimo, me echaron a perder mi ropa - La recepción nocturna tiene muy mal carácter y muy groseros, buscan hacer cargos adicionales sin motivos justificables, lo peor es que tienen el descaro de decir que uno se puede hospedar en un hotel mas económico, la llave electrónica no te la programan conforme la reservación, si no al día y es desgastante estar esperando a que atiendan. Cosas Buenas: -El personal de seguridad/Estacionamiento, son muy amables y están atentos a todo momento, buscan que los vehículos estén seguros. -Personal de comida/desayuno, es muy amable y atentos. Es una lastima que después de 30 días consecutivos hospedado en el hotel una noche antes, fueron muy groseros y comentarios fuera de lugar al parecer hacer un gasto de 50mil pesos con ellos no es nada a comparación de otros clientes como lo menciono el de recepción nocturna.

Pros: Spacious, central hostel with cheap beds. Friendly staff, nice patio with a nice view onto Monte Alban and the city, table tennis and fitness room available. Not a party hostel. Has a kitchen. Free water and coffee. Clean. Laundry around the corner. Cons: I wasn't explained anything during the checkin, the staff speak hardly English (some don't at all which I find an absolute no-go for the size of this hostel) and the new guy there was absolutely not knowledgable about a lot of things an employee there should know. Helpful though. The kitchen equipment was bad. There was always a lack of spoons and glasses/cups. Moreover, there were no designated areas for ”I'm leaving, take this stuff if you want to” and nobody put his name and departure date onto the stuff in the fridge. I recommended those things but it wasn't implemented (although a simple piece of cardboard would have done). The room was quiet only from ~23:30 to ~07:30. Some trucks and motorbikes were extremely loud. NO internet connection directly on my room 123, but there was enough space outside to sit where there is a connection. But even there, there was sometimes 10% packetloss and a ping of ＞200ms depending on how many people were using the internet. Well, overall a good experience but the hotel should definately improve on the kitchen situation.

A very nice hotel with an awesome price value ratio. They also have a free shuttle every 30 minutes to their own beach club with a great restaurant and a very beautiful beach. Well come back for sure.
