I tried to stay in three hotels before choosing Blue Mountain. As a result, I stayed here for almost a week and a half until departure. Here I found what I needed: silence, cleanliness, attentive service, close location to Thamel and transport for travel around. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. And the forest is also near - it was also important for me. There is an opportunity to wash your clothes by yourself, there are wonderful terraces for relaxation, and the view from the roof is so beautiful! Thank you, everything was great! I really recommend Blue Mountain to all my friends.

Extremely friendly little hotel. Centrally situated in Bhaktapur with all the main sites in this fascinating city within a short walk. It’s a bit tricky to find the first time, being in a little pedestrian alley. Best to get the taxi driver to phone the hotel once he/she is inside the old city and the owners will meet you. Prices are very cheap and you can get a Newari style breakfast if you want. The owners made us feel like part of the family. Recommended.

The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. We can see the mountains from the rooftop from the building.This hotel also have rooftop garden which is good and nature friendly for environment.The staff's are very good and polite in nature. The location of the hotel is just perfect.The staff's are very supportive towards their guest's. I came here with my family and my was experience my good towards this hotel. I spent here several nights and it was perfect. The rooms are clean and spacious. The ones that arent on the main street are calmer but I did not mind at all. The staff is very nice and help you in any way possible. I had to post a postcard, but the office was closed so they kindly did it for me ! Breakfast is good and the rooftop is very pleasant. And the location is perfect ! You are in the center and close to cool restaurants cafés ,… i would definitely recommend !! Great value for money !

I loved staying here! The room was fabulous and comfortable - it even had a rocking chair. It may have challenged taller guests but rooms with more headroom are available. The staff were exceptional - helpful, knowlegeable and friendly. They only offer a limited selection for breakfast and no other meals, but there are plenty of good options nearby. The location is perfect and don't be put off by the approach, the staff will help bring your luggage from the road and all is good when you get through the outer door to the coutyard. It really feels like an authentic taste of living in a traditional Nepalese home.

Best recommended place to stay in Kathmandu. They have nice room with attached bathroom. Air conditioning facilities for both hot and cold. Neat and clean room with private WiFi really strong. I recommend everyone in this place. I hope to visit again

My recent stay at Hotel Vintage was truly incredible. The moment I arrived, I felt at home, thanks to the warm and hospitable staff. They provided exceptional service, from the front desk to housekeeping, making my stay both comfortable and memorable. The room's cleanliness and the comfortable bed were very pleasant. Breakfast on the rooftop was a delightful experience. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to all the attractions I wanted to explore. I highly recommend Hotel Vintage for an unforgettable stay. It's a place where you feel valued and leave with a sense of having found a second home.

This guest house is in a fantastic location! It is right between Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Pottery Square- you can walk to many attractions and it is very easy to find. It is also in a very beautiful area, the surrounding architecture is very pretty and intricate. I could recommend it based on the area alone, but the staff was also very nice! On my last day in Bhaktapur, I went for a morning trek that ended up taking all day and I was not able to get back and check out in time. He worked with me over the phone and make the whole ordeal much less stressful. When I got back, he organized transportation for me and everything to my next destination. There is also a very nice café right across the road that serves very good coffee and has the absolute sweetest baristas! The room and attached bathroom was very clean and comfortable. There are plenty of outlets, there is water in the room, and the hot water in the shower works well. I would recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Bhaktapur!

First, if you’re coming to Bhaktapur, you should really try to spend at least one night here. The city is at its most magical at sunrise and sunset so a day trip really doesn’t do it justice. If you’re going to stay in Bhaktapur, the Vajra guesthouse is a great place to do it. There are plenty of three star hotels that are comfortable and clean, but none of them have the team at the Vajra. The restaurant staff, the front desk, the ownership, and housekeeping all went out of their way to make sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location is fantastic only minutes from Terbar Square and a short walk to all the sites in medieval Bhaktapur. The restaurant is very good, too.

This is a 5 star hotel in the budget category for Nepal. We stayed in a room on the upper floor with a double bed, attached bathroom, and 2 nice sitting chairs and a side table, and a lot of sunshine and garden view. Very very clean!!! I am a clean freak, so this was important. Good lighting options in the room, not just one bulb (post trekking, that's lovely). Good bedding, and no mildew smells anywhere. This price per night includes delicious big breakfast, with tea or coffee, with 4 or 5 choices of set breakfast, from a egg, toast, yogurt fruit combo to a more nepali flare of chickpea curry, falafel-like patties, mandala omlette combo. Very filling. We only ate breakfast here, but did see other guests eating dinner by candlelight one evening. The host has such a good vibe! So kind. So chill. Just a lovely energy to be around. He gave us gentle suggestions each day - zero pressure! Just a...hey, I see you are reading these books, and there is a paper factory you may be interested in very close by. (It was marvelous) And hey, there's a festival coming on Monday that you might be interested in, and extending your Bhaktapur pass is free to do if you want to stay. That level of suggestion without pressure is a pleasure to be around. Every other guest we met here has also been friendly and chatty and lovely - I think it's the atmosphere created by the hosts here. The host's daughter also helped me solve a problem of getting more data through NCell on my phone in about 3 minutes... last time I had to find a shop and it was a hassle. I asked owner where would be a shop and he said, my daughter will help, and Snap! It's done for both myself and my partner's phones. The garden, though. 💜💜💜 The grass, the trees, the plants, the flowers, the birds! The hodt has set up tables outside, and created lovely sitting areas for breakfast, and for solo sitting. When we needed to find a place to shift to, as our airbnb reservation was completed, but we weren't ready to leave bhaktapur yet, I searched for ”hotel with garden”. This is the only one that came up in our budget range, and it's just lovely. So obviously cared for and loved by this host family. My partner and I are introverts and quiet travelers, and appreciate hosts that leave us be, while being available when we need help. This host has excellent social skills, and has matched us perfectly. I've also seen him interacting with more gregarious guests, and he matches them as well. That is valuable!! Two things that I appreciate as a post-trekking traveler.... the excellent and stable and fast wifi connection (needed to work online), and that when he brings the toast he brings a WHOLE jar of jam, peanut butter and honey. So many times on our treks I had toast and had to scrape a teaspoon of jam across my two pieces of toast... the whole jar feels like luxury. 😄 That's a silly one, but some other jam lover out there will sympathize. 😊 It is very close to a square, but with more of a neighbo

Stayed at Shakya house for 4 weeks while writing my thesis. It was absolutely Perfect! Saajan and his family invited me with open arms and took care of every need. They even invited me to celebrate Dashain with the family, an experience wich I Will never forget. The room was clean, hot water in the shower and a decent breakfast. Nothing to complain about. Also big thanks to Rana who become a good friend of mine during my stay. I’m fleecet grateful for my stay with you and hope to see you again in the future!
