Hotel 2 Bintang di Barstow

I spent six nights of my recent USA visit in five different hotels. My room at the California Inn, Barstow cost the least while providing the best overall stay. It appears to be an old (1960s?) motel which has been revamped and redecorated yet the room was just as clean as the most costly hotel of my travels. Plus California Inn provided a wide selection of complimentary travel goodies in the room and a tasty hot buffet breakfast downstairs the next morning. I rather wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the morning sun on my balcony overlooking the pool.

The office was closed,(8pm) manager helped me through the night window. He was friendly enough but there was a bit of language barrier. No coffee in room or lobby, Dennys across the street. Good value for $80 no frills but comfortable bed and shower was hot!

Stayed for one night, and the room was very clean. Get what you pay for. Good location! Fridge and microwave available in room.

Overall room was clean and I would stay here again.

Very basic hotel but still a comfortable stay. Breakfast was very limited as the food don’t get replenished after they run out, so might want to go earlier for breakfast. Room is spacious and comfortable.

Hi my name is benny b. i just made a reservation to Baymont by W and i am a local herw in barstow. the reason why i am saying this is b3cause i am a local i HAVE TO PAY IN CASH 250$ DEPOSIT. ok so I paid in full online before i got there onsite walked inside the doors went to go check in early, i was prepared to pay a early fee, but how ever when the front desk told me i have to pay250$ deposit in cash no exceptions . i told her nevermind i will go somewhere else..now in doing this i wasnt able to cancel with priceline i asked the lady upfront all she did was give me a business card with the managers email...oki wrote an email explaining my situation so far no reply... Now the hotel oolicy states if i do not get there on time or if i was a no-show , then i lose my money, it also states that there is no way i can cancel it also..but it does not state that there is a 250$ cash deposit for locals. lr if for any reason you decide not to pay this insanely high deposit i cannot get a refund.. its not alot for the room but in these times 100$ is alot of money to just have it disappear..... well thank you and if you stay here dont be a local. and im only putting a dot because im obligated to by the site to mark something so really that is a half of circle.
