"Room was fine and clean and in a convenient location . The issue was I received a PCN ticket for my stay amounting to £100,due to the receptionist not inputting my Car details correctly. As the machine was facing away and behind the counter I couldn't check the details entered so relied on her to do it correctly which it wasn't and subsequently received a PCN. I contacted Travelodge directly to get them to contact groupnexus to cancel the ticket but they said they couldn't and so have to go through their appeal process to see if it can be cancelled. It's not an ideal situation and a warning to other guests staying at the hotel"

"This  location ticked all our boxes when booking: fishing holiday for husband's 50th, relaxing for me with hot tub and quiet location. Jill and Andrew were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble (not that we had many queries). First let me stay considering it is so close to Exeter. Although opened 2 years ago, the decor was as pristine as the website images. Both bedrooms were beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms and had underfloor heating throughout the property. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were all nicely decorated and had everything that you needed for the comforts from home. The outside seating  and hot tub were undercover so even when it did rain, we could enjoy it still.  The fishing was everything my husband hoped for, catching 10+ fish each day.  And to add to our enjoyment, we had alpacas in the field next to us. They came to watch us each day and we took advantage to go feed them one day: the boys, the girls and the babies. All too cute, and an Devon Show Awarding male as well! A treat. A great holiday and everything we wanted from it! "

"Behind us is David's Church and a small area of ​​tombstones. It was a bit scary to see them when we arrived at night, but I participated in church activities during the day, and understood the local culture. I also found the culture shock quite interesting. In the following days, I would walk through the cemetery to take a shortcut."

"Great stop-off to Cornwall, Topsham is a nice town just outside Exeter with good amenities. This pub is friendly, rooms are clean and well-appointed."

"Very nice pub and settings. However food was average and over expensive. When a dessert price is over £10 then it gets silly. In comparison Drum Inn in Cockington serves well prepared food ar a reasonable price."

The Nobody Inn

"We had the most wonderful lunch here on the weekend! The chef was super lovely, and the menu was incredible. We had monkfish, pork, scallops and beef brisket from their BBQ menu, accompanied by potatoes and salads. The food tasted amazing, and was so fresh. We had some wine and aperol spritz and just had the loveliest few hours in the sunshine! Cannot recommend enough. Hoping to head back to try their Sunday BBQ lunch menu!"
