Hotel berhampiran Terzo Giardino, Florence

When we went to Rome on March 23 this year, we booked a Superior Double Room in Borghese Palace Art Hotel for the next night. On March 24, we arrived in Florence by morning train and checked into the hotel at about 10. We left our things in the registration area and went to see the sights. Extremely tired, we returned to the hotel around 6 in the evening in hope of a long-awaited rest. The hotel staff led us through the back door to a service room with one wall 2/3 the height of a normal wall, connected to the old service entrance. Through the glass door of which the light from the hall entered the room. The room had a double bed and another bunk bed for 2 persons. This room obviously did not look like a Superior Double Room for 197.49 Euro. We said that this was not the room the photos of which were displayed on the hotel website and we would not take it. We asked what about our room. It turned out that our room was occupied. To our surprise, a young girl told us that at the same time when we placed the online order, other people also placed an order and the other people's order went through. Then we asked why the staff team did not say anything and they registered us in the morning and there was no good answer. She called the manager and informed us that they would return the money to us. We asked if they could help us with a new place. They answered categorically that it was not their responsibility. We were really tired from walking all day and were left to find a place ourselves. It was already dark out. I went to look for a hotel in the area, and my husband, cancer patient, was looking for a hotel on the Internet.Having walked 5 additional kilometers to no avail but my husband found accommodation. We walked another 17 minutes towards the train station and entered a very pleasant reconstructed modern hotel with friendly staff - the Urban Globus Hotel. By the way, they showed us a wonderful place next to the hotel - the Market Place, on the 2nd floor of which there is a series of restaurants where there is food for every taste. The owners or managers there are young guys, they were so worried that we would leave before breakfast that they left us food at the door at night. It was certainty a time of contrast.

فندق رائع ونظيف وراقي ومميز في افضل موقع في مدينة فلورنسا مع اطلالة جميلة على نهر ارنو . . جميع العاملين في مركز الاستقبال على قدر كبير جدا من المهنية واللطف وسرعة التجاوب فمجرد أن سالت عن امكانية رفع مستو الغرفة فاجأوني بسرعة التجاوب ورفعو مستوى الغرفة فوقع المتوقع بمراحل الى جناح فخم جدا وفسيح . . كما ان جميع العاملين الاخرين في الفندق متجاوبين لدرجة ان جميع طلباتك مجابة وبسرعة . . بالاضافة أن الفندق قريب لكل المعالم الرئيسية في المدينة من النهر إلى مركز التسوق والمطاعم و المقاهي الراقية والمتاحف . . بكل تاكيد انصح في هذا الفندق وبشدة وسيكون خياري الاول في زيارتي القادمة .

Thank you :) Our experience at the hotel was great. In many ways this hotel was ideal for us, it wasn't right in the city center where all the noise is, but it was close enough to it (about half an hour's walk to the train station with a suitcase and bags). The hotel staff was excellent, very kind and respectful with lots of good and efficient advice. The room was spacious enough and clean and we didn't lack anything. One weak point was for us and it was the bed which was a double bed but, it was connected by two mattresses, and an air conditioner that worked but made a lot of noise. In conclusion, if you don't mind walking to the city center (I strongly recommend everyone to walk and not use public transport, there is a lot to see on the way :) ) And you are looking for the hotel staff to be nice, polite, experienced, know the surroundings and know how to give you tips, this is the hotel check for you. Few minutes walk from the station past McDonald’s (exit the station from the left). Hotel is set back so can easily be missed. We had a room for three, one double bed and a low camp bed. Rooms made up everyday and towels changed frequently. Wardrobe with plenty of hangers, safe, complimentary water in fridge. I asked if we could have a kettle and this was no problem. Bathroom quite big, shower cubicle with toiletries. Lovely white, big bath towels. Great location for lots of great restaurants and only minutes away from attractions. Rooms are quite warm but there is air con. Breakfast consists of yogurts, fresh fruit, breads, croissants, scrambled eggs and great coffee. Hotel staff are so helpful, even printed out our tickets for one of our trips. Would stay there again, next time exit the train station from the left!

Room is not crammed as it has two partitioned sections within the room. Two bunk beds as you enter and the other walk in section has 1 bunk bed and a single bed 👍👍👍 The ensuite separate toilet and bathroom is a really good provision too 👍👍👍 Kitchen is basic but has 2 microwave and 2 fridge where you can store some foods. There’s also a restaurant that provides meals with menu variety

I’ve never written a review before but felt I had to this time. I’ve just returned from holiday staying in this hotel. I booked the holiday in a rush and didn’t check reviews until after I’d booked. Some of the reviews were not great which unsettled me. Please be reassured that this hotel is very nice, very clean and has very helpful staff. It isn’t in the centre of Florence, this can be seen by looking on a map. The distance is walkable but there is also a regular number 14 bus which picks up a minute walk from the hotel and drops off at all the major sites, railway station and tram stop for 1.70 euro. Tickets can be bought at the hotel reception. It’s possible to travel from the airport by tram and then by the bus to the hotel. Because of our very early morning flight time the hotel organised a taxi to the airport and that was 45 euros. I also took a taxi from the main railway station to the hotel one evening and that was 17 euros. There is an excellent selection of beverages and cold food for breakfast. The hot food is a little more limited scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and toast but perfectly adequate. There is a lovely restaurant next door that sells pizza, pasta and other meals at very reasonable prices. We ate there most nights. There is also a coffee shop and Thai restaurant near by that we didn’t use. There is a reasonably large supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel as well. The spa and swimming pool is well worth a visit. It costs an additional 20 euros (for two hours). But as my daughter pointed out we’d spend £5 to go to just a swimming pool for an hour at home. The spa has steam room, sauna, salt room and hydro pool. Perfect after a day of sightseeing. It’s secluded from the rest of the hotel and is not busy. I was travelling alone with my young daughter and the hotel suited us perfectly. She found the centre of Florence a little overwhelming and enjoyed coming back to a quieter hotel and loved using the pool and spa in the evenings and then popping next door to the restaurant. If you want to be permanently in the busy hub and centre of Florence then this hotel isn’t for you but if you want to do your sightseeing and then come back on an evening to a more relaxed and chilled atmosphere with the use of a spa then I would recommend this one.

The hotel is within walking distance from the Cathedral/ historical city. The hotel has parking space available that needs to be booked in advance. We had big room with view on the garden. It was quite, nice and clean. The room we had has also kitchenette. If next time in Florence I will first try to book room in this hotel.

for its price it was okay. Its really close to the tram which you can take to the city center. The shower pressure was barely there and the sink was clogged. AC took forever to change the room temperature. A small nice and simple terrace for smokers, staff was very kind to check my room because i had a feeling i left my hair straightener turned on and they also cleaned the room (we stayed 2 nights so i didnt expect cleaning).

This location is really convenient if you need to take the flight to domestic airlines or other countries, just few minutes by taxi or trans. Don’t forget to make a reservation if you take early flight. The staff is also very helpful when we need to leave the luggage at the hotel. Recommend this hotel if you just need 1 or 2 nights for transferring.
