Good hotel with neat surroundings. Other points below - 1 - Very Very far from the tourist locations. So its a little cheaper compared to other hotels near the tourist locations. However you have to spend a lot of money on cabs ( at least 600TL on a mini van) to go the Grand Bazaar and other tourist locations. These type of hotels are preferred by ticketing agency to make a good commission. 2 - The hotel is good with nice people at the reception. However, there is no one to help you with the baggage. We were 6 in total and had at least 5 big baggages which we carried ourselves to the room. So to me, this is more of a low cost hotel. 3 - Breakfast is average ( for Indians). mostly continental - sausages, scrambled eggs, toasts, corn flakes, juice, etc.. 4 - The rooms were spacious with single bed for 3 of us in one room. 5 - The bathrooms were also good. Dont forget that there is a bidet :) 6 - Cleaning of the room will be done everyday and was done nicely. 7 - Another issue with this hotel is the food you order from room. The order goes to another restaurant outside, so you need to wait for sometime for your food to arrive. Again it could be on the costlier side. 8 - The service from room is not good. I had asked for ceramic cups for drinking tea but was not given at all. My friend asked for extra paper cups and they gave just 1. 9 - There is just one good restaurant nearby and you need to walk at least a km for that. 10 - There is a supermarket nearby which is just 500 m away, so you can get your important stuffs from there. If you want a budget hotel and ready to travel a lot everyday to see the tourist locations, go for this, otherwise skip it.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of our tour group. We were on 4th floor and wifi didn’t work so had to keep going to the lobby to use. There were no face or hand towels and no spare pillows, no iron or ironing board, kettle did not work and tv remote did not work. Luckily we were only there for two nights but unfortunately will be returning there for one night before flying home. The hotel was also situated far from amenities so not much to see or do without taking a taxi or Uber. I would not recommend this hotel if you had another option.

Great hotel. Staff were all lovely and very helpful. facilities were great and so was the location for accessing the Metrolink and getting around Istanbul. Literally 10 mins on the tram to most of the sights. (approx 70p a ride) We requested a room away from the front of the hotel as we had read reviews that it was noisy staying in the rooms at the front. This is due to a very loud bar below. We couldn't hear anything and slept very well (room 507) Wifi was really good too and the rooftop pool was perfect. Very clean hotel and plenty of choice for breakfast. The gym was very poor. a treadmill which hardly worked, very creeky and 2 bikes that didnt seem to be working at all. So didnt use it. To be fair, we walked around Istanbul that much, that we managed to get some exercise in that way. Not much to do in this area but shop and only a couple of bars. But as mentioned above, great location for getting to all the other areas, felt very central. Would Definitely stay again

My friend and I were staying at Mount Ararat Hotel for three nights. We were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff. Even though we barely stayed in our room, the room had everything what we needed after a long day outdoors. The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and so was the bathroom. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and during the evening the neighbourhood became very lively with locals and tourists. We were happy that after a tiring day we could grab some food and drinks with our hotel in the close proximity. On our last evening Saleh helped us arranging the transport to the airport which was top-notch! On the other hand, we had an arrangement with breakfast included and it was slightly disappointing. It was buffet with various choices of food and drinks but my friend and I are a little bit fussy. We preferred to grab something on our way to the city centre. It is not a deal breaker though. All in all, good value for money. We were satisfied about our choice and would definitely come back.

I stayed in an Economy Double Room which I feel is a bit small for 2 people. If I stay again, I would stay in a Deluxe Double room. The reception staff are very helpful. The room itself is lovely and is nicely furnished. I went to the sauna and the hammam. The sauna wasn’t working, but someone was trying to fix it whilst I was there. I’m not sure what the point is of the hammam as it wasn’t explained to me how to use it. Breakfast was good and had a good selection. You can order an omelette if you wish. The location is great – very convenient for the tram and to walk to some of the tourist attractions. I would stay at Bentley Hotel Old City Istanbul again.

Perfect location in the old town of Sultanahmet. To the main attractions Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace you walk in 10/15 minute. Down to the seaside with a park and a walkway along the shore in 7 minutes. This small hotel is in a narrow sidestreet with little traffic. Rooms are a bit small buit nicely furnished and they are clean. Some with balcony facing the sea or terrace. Double glas windows to prevent the noise of the main steet below the hotel which is on the hillside. Good breakfast with a great variety and excellent view on the roof top. Keep in mind that this is the main tourist area of Istanbul where everything is expensive. There are many Restaurants in this place but you hardly find a breakfast for less than 10 Dollars. So all in all the Seatanbul is very good value for money. Mr. Kayhan at the reception speaks perfct english and is a very friendly and helpfull man. I highly can recommend this place.

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

Class act for airport shuttle, this modest hotel ticks every box. First of all, kind thanks to Syrian neighbour Ahmed with his gift of languages to offer in as guide and translator. A quiet room in this tiny street too narrow to permit Vespa buzz and taxi honk was paramount. Closeby is the coach shuttle at €3.20 to Istanbul Airport...clock the luggage tag process and masked duty. Excellent. My room had an epic view of the city and so high up, traffic is undetectable. So clean, well fitted, safe and decent. I slept a needy 12hrs. Aircon and fridge are silent and linens were fine.

Начну с того, что сейчас этот отель называется DNZ TAXIM FERİDİYE HoTEL. Бронировала я пребывание на три ночи через букинг в номере делюкс. При заезде нам был выдан другой номер, не соответсвующий описанию и фото при бронировании. Вернулись к администратору с попыткой объяснить, что номер явно другой. Он долго искал наше бронирование, нашел, в итоге дал другой номер. Он был больше и по размеру походил на тот, что был на фото, но при этом не соответстовал внешне. При этом нам было сказано, что других номеров нет. В итоге, пришлось остаться в этом номере. Потом мы начали осматривать его более детально и оказались в легком шоке. Дело было то, в каком состоянии был сам номер: дверные наличники были отломаны, стены все покоцанные до основания, незакрепленная мойка, перетертый шланг для душа, кран, который держался на честном слове. Кран и вентилятор просто торчали из стены, над дверным проемом в ванной все было замазано цементом без какой-то отделки (все есть на фото). Полотенца грязные, с остатками губной помады, а также дырками. Постельное белье тоже было под вопросом. В стоимость проживания входил завтрак, который опять же оказался не таким, как на фото на букинге. Фото завтрака тоже прикреплено к отзыву. Основное там - это полбатона. На стойке регистрации работают арабы, которые по-английский знают пару слов, то есть изъясняться с ними крайне сложно. Ну, и напоследок вишенка на торте. Решили, что не выдержим тут три ночи и уедем после двух ночей. В итоге, администраторы отменили нашу бронь, когда мы выехали, и отправили на букинг информацию о том, что мы якобы не заехали. В общем, они просто обманывают людей! Я никому не рекомендую этот отель!
