Sofitel Kunming Hotel

Lokasi hotel sangat bagus, tidak jauh dari Jalan Pejalan Kaki Nanping Street, sikap perkhidmatan di kaunter penerimaan tetamu juga hebat, dan sarapan paginya berlimpah. Harganya agak baik. Saya akan datang ke Kunming untuk masa yang lama dalam masa terdekat, dan Sofitel juga akan menjadi pilihan pertama saya.

A beautiful hotel with a fantastic view.

Very good hotel, I definitely recommend it. Beautiful view of the city from the room. Friendly and professional staff. Room is quality and so clean. Restaurants with beautiful views and delicious food.

It is in central Kunming, so not too far from anything. The hotel is beautiful with very nice rooms. The staff is great, as you would expect from a Sofitel. The star of the show is the breakfast buffet. It is huge! So many items to choose from, both Western and Asian, and top quality on everything (especially the bread and pastries!). Seriously, it rates up there among my favorite breakfast spreads ever, all 6 of us agreed! The fitness and pool are very nice as well. This is where you want to stay!

The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is very rich. The room is very clean and use shower gel, shampoo and body lotion with Lanvin brand

The service in this hotel is good: the response time to requests and requires are short: they are trying to improve and to meet our needs: they tried to change rooms for us when we complained it was too hot in the room. They gave us free extension of checking out until 5pm as we needed it. It was really helpful for us. The air conditioning in this hotel is not working properly: for the 24 hours we stayed in the hotel, it was kept to 24 degrees, even though they have sent the technical to check it multiple times and agreed to switch rooms for us, it just didn’t work. Other rooms are also of this same temperature level. As mentioned in several other reviews, the air con in the entire hotel is not working properly. So people who has the expectation of being able to control the temp in the room by yourselves or having it cooler than 24 in hot days should reconsider their booking: the entire hotel including lobby and bars and restaurants are somewhere between 24-26 degrees. And no need to waste time to switch rooms as it’s all the same.

We frequent the Sofitel and are always so impressed. The breakfast is unbelievable and the service is excellent.

Though its in the centre of the city, nothing really exciting surrounding the hotel. Need to call taxi to go anywhere. The hotel is well built, with nice style with classic french way. The lobby is big but a bit dark. The room is good size and the best part is the bathroom. It's huge with a very nice tub. It's same as most of the hotels in China, aircon can only tune to 23degree celcisus. Though window can open to get some cool fresh air in, the blanket is still too warm for the weather. Breakfast is on the top notch, even for international standard.
