PPengguna TetamuService is excellent. Facilities include outdoor pool and gym. Parking is free.
However, I found a bug on my pillow. As a courtesy, the receptionist offered free snacks to my kids while we checked out. Thumb up her response.

PPengguna TetamuStayed for 8 nights in an Executive Apartment. Luckily got a room on the 14th floor so great. The facilities were superb. Having a restaurant and bar on site was very good . The choice of food was good and the staff were very attentive. The pool was awesome. Did not use the gym but looked very well equipped. Easy access to downtown but we took an uber to the waterfront.

PPengguna TetamuEverything about Club Tropical Resort in the month of February, where the weather is consistently warm, humid and wet, is a complete joy to a visitor from Melbourne. The rooms are clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the ability to entertain friends and family are outstanding. The pool is the centerpiece of the whole site, where I spent many hours during my 7 day stay. For anyone who thinks it is too far away from the city of Darwin, there are supermarkets and the entire Casuarina shopping centre within a 5 minute drive. If it is wilderness you want, the resort is right next to that too with Buffalo Creek and Lee Point only a walk away. Parking is great, the restaurant was fantastic, and I am struggling to find anything wrong with my stay. But there was one thing - it was not long enough!

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located walking distance to City Center and smith street mall. Even waterfront restaurants and bars are just 15 mins. walk apart. The taxi transfer airport to hotel takes less than 20 minutes.
Friendly reception staff arranged a change of our desired bed configuration upon notice. Rooms are basic but spacious.
Nice restaurant on premises available for lunch, dinner and its where you got the complementary breakfast.
Will stay here again definitely, when in town next time.

KKen and Sharon QLDThe Mercure is the pick of the Darwin Airport hotels and they capitalize on their airport location by cranking up the price. Also our flight came into Darwin after midnight and the airport shuttle phone number they provided was unanswered so we endured the 9 minute walk from the airport with our cases. Checked in about 1:00 and requested a late check out. The hotel had plenty of availability but they still charged $60 for the privilege. Rooms are comfortable but looking a bit tatty now. Even so we had a nice , but short stay

RRip RipWas expecting more given the price we paid, apparently already considered low season.
The pool lagoon was disappointing and expected higher standards, more staff and cleanliness.
Hotel restaurant food expensive unless ******** and apparently would have great discount.
Room service was good and value for money.
Expected small amenities like free bottled water to be more generous given the heat. Apparently just 2 bottles per check in although we stayed 2 nights .
Bathroom and toiletries reasonable although bathroom door had a drum which made it inconvenient to open as door swung closed automatically ..

PPengguna TetamuPoor communication with the shuttle service. They failed to communicate the shuttle service would be an unmarked car and did not provide the driver with my phone number. This resulted in a long wait at the airport around midnight, plus several phone calls.
The room we were given had hair in the bed and stained sheets. Thankfully, we were promptly given a new room, however, the person who gave me the new room key - passed the key to me and told me the room number and went to immediately leave. I had to ask him to show me the room and help move our bags. (I was travelling with my 8 year old child and by this time it was after 1am).
It was a very disappointing and frustrating experience.

VVana LobatoUpon first check in, the receptionist confirmed that we paid through Trip.com but after taking the bond payment he then straight away told us he hasn’t received any payment and asked us to show our proof of payments such as trip.com confirmation, bank transfer, & even statement of bank deduction. We showed confirmation, bank transfer, statements as he asked and then the receptionist refused and insisted we haven’t paid. He refused all the proofs and insisted us to make another payment with them. He refused us to talk to the supervisor because he said “they will say the same thing”. Unfortunately, we didn’t get his name, so we couldn’t specify who he was. Terrible services.
