Hotel berhampiran Penjara Lama Chiayi, Chiayi

This was an incredible hotel. The owner’s commitment to his vision is outstanding. The hotel doesn’t exactly feel like Thailand, but rather the hotel owner’s imagination of Thailand fused with the set for a Broadway musical. The rooftop bar is also great and reasonably priced. The only real downsides are that the smell of plastic flowers in the hallways is sometimes overwhelming, and the fact that the bathroom is separated from the room by only a curtain. But overall, I 1000% recommend staying here — it made our experience in Chiayi.

We stayed 2 nights at Chiayi Hotel. The receptionist was helpful when we arrived at night. The parking space for cars is two blocks away and we had to walk for a while but that’s wasn’t a big deal. The hotel is about 800m to the train station or 15 mins by walking. The breakfast was okay. We opted for vegetarian meals. All in all, we would love to stay here again if we ever come back to Chiayi

It has great location (walking distance to Chiayi Station and Wenhua Night Market). The bathroom is clean, the room itself is nice and i have no problem to sleep at all (the only downside , you have to come before 6pm to see the receptionist - but dont worry they will contact you before your arrival and help you to check in anw-). Overall a nice place to stay in Chiayi

The hotel is very clean and tidy. It's a 15 mins walk from the chaiyi station. If you prefer to take a taxi it is about NT 100.00. But I do want to highlight, the front desk staff and be more friendly and helpful. They can widen their general knowledge about the places of attraction in Chaiyi or Alishan.

Superb location, located just opposite the TRA especially if you are looking to travel to Alishan and coming in from other county. The place is clean and the rooms are big. Breakfast has vegetarian options even though not much, but enough to fill you up. Substantial options for a local ********* breakfast. The front counter staff was also friendly and helpful ☺️

Positives - Nice, clean rooms that still look pretty new - good sound insulation (outside the window, and outside the room) - nice small touches for Christmas (small card and goodie bag waiting in the room, complimentary piano and flute performance coupled with milk tea and mulled wine) Negatives - breakfast variety limited (almost the same food for both days. The hotel is right in front of the ChiaYi TRA Station which the bus to Alishan is allocated. The building have multiple levels of different hotels but this hotel is had only 1 floor with all the rooms and lobby. The room is very spacious and it has all the essential needs. The staff is very friendly as well. ChiaYi is famous for turkey rice, suggest to try a nearby restaurant below which only cost 40 NTD. There is also a night market nearby, a 10 min walk from the hotel. From HSR station to and from TRA there is a free bus just need to check the timeslot which very convenient just need to cross the TRA, signs are available. Overall very happy with our stay.

Thanks to Maison De Chine, Chiayi, for an excellent four-night stay. The service was impeccable from the moment we arrived, with thoughtful touches like complimentary snacks, drinks, wine in the afternoons, and even warm porridge in the evening. Our room was clean, spacious, and felt brand new—highly recommended for anyone visiting Chiayi. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
