Hotel berhampiran Taman Chiayi, Chiayi

I chose An Lan Jie Hotel primarily for its location, and it did not disappoint. It's literally a 3-5 minute walk from Chiayi Train Station and the bus pick-up point for Alishan . If you're planning an early morning trip up the mountain, you simply cannot beat this convenience. There's also a Family Mart right across the street and plenty of local eateries nearby . The staff were a highlight—genuinely friendly, helpful, and spoke good English . They provided clear instructions for self-check-in (the whole place uses digital door codes, so you don't need to worry about losing a key card) . I stayed in a private room, which was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. The common area on the 14th floor is a real bonus—it's beautifully decorated, has a great city view, and offers free tea and coffee for guests . The bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked well . A few small things to note: the bathrooms are functional but can be a bit compact [7]. Also, be aware that towels aren't provided (you can rent one for a small fee), so you might want to bring your own . Overall, this is a fantastic, budget-friendly option for solo travelers or couples who prioritize location and cleanliness. It’s the perfect base for exploring Chiayi and catching that first bus to Alishan. I would definitely stay here again.

Love this hotel! great location, just walking distance to Wenhua night market! close to many tourist areas like Hinoki Village, art museums etc. also few mins away from Chiayi train station. Staffs are accommodating, the room is spacious and clean. Love the comfort of our bed and pillows. Price is reasonable. The bathrooms is also spacious with a bath tub. overall great experience, highly recommended!

I had a pleasant stay at Staryi Hotel in Chiayi. The location is spot on, right opposite Chiayi Train Station, which makes it very convenient. There are also YouBike stations just around the corner, so it’s easy to move around the city. They upgraded my room to a two double-bed room, so the space was huge! The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the bathroom water pressure was strong, which I always appreciate after a long travel day. A special thanks to the hotel for storing my luggage one day in advance. This helped me a lot because I could go up to Alishan with just a backpack, making the trip much easier. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more pleasant. Overall, a comfortable stay in a very convenient location. Would definitely recommend it.

Japanese room is big. It is good that there are 2 toilets, one is with bathroom. There’s a violinist playing at the lounge from 7-9 pm and there’s complimentary snacks as well. There are many eateries around the hotel so food wise is not a problem. Nearest train station is about 15-20 minutes walk so will be better to get a taxi if there are luggage to carry.

The place was nice and clean, and breakfast was good as well. Can also ask reception to help you book taxi. Good for a short stay.

The hotel is in a very nice location, which made getting around convenient. The room cleaning was well done and consistently maintained, making the stay comfortable. Although I did not book any meals, the overall experience was good and pleasant. Would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Berdekatan sangat dengan stesen keretapi, dan banyak pilihan makanan di sekitarnya. Saya tiba di hostel pada pukul 10:30 malam setelah keluar dari stesen, dan sebaik sahaja saya menekan loceng, ada orang yang terus menyahut dan membukakan pintu. Proses daftar masuk juga layan diri dan sangat lancar serta mudah.

Pasar Malam Budaya berdekatan, sangat berbaloi dengan wang.
