This hotel is run by very friendly and professional staff, they think two steps ahead, and offered me a pick-up service fron a railway station. The hotel is in a pedestrian area, so a member of staff made sure she picked me up and brought to the hotel. The room is spacious air-conditioned, very clean and the bed is comfortable. You order your breakfast the night before and they bring it to your room. The street where the hotel is located is still being renovated, but there is a decent hot-pot restaurant in the street itself and a lot of snack and cultural experience opportunities in the streets nearby as the ancient part of tge town is just a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. In other words, highly recommended.

A Charming Old Town Homestay in Luoyang: Beautiful but with a Few Quirks! This is a beautifully renovated homestay nestled right inside Luoyang's ancient old town. If you are looking for a place with local character, this is a wonderful choice, though there are a few practical things you should know before booking. The Cons (Things to consider): The Location/Access: Because it is located deep within a narrow alley of the old town, large cars and taxis cannot pick you up or drop you off right at the doorstep. You will need to roll your luggage for about 400 meters to the main road. 🧳 The Breakfast: They serve a very traditional Chinese breakfast consisting of millet porridge, fried dough sticks (youtiao), and vegetable steamed buns. While it tasted good, it was a bit salty, and the menu was exactly the same every single day without any variation. The Pros (Why I still loved it): The Room & Vibe: Our triple room was incredibly spacious, spotlessly clean, and the entire courtyard was beautifully decorated with a lot of taste and local charm. The Hospitality: The owner and the staff were absolutely amazing—super enthusiastic, warm, and helpful throughout our stay! ❤️ The Prime Location: Being situated inside the old town means it is exceptionally convenient. You can easily walk to all the major historical sights and the vibrant Drum Tower (Gulou) Night Market for amazing street food. 🏮🍢 Overall, despite the minor inconveniences with luggage and the repetitive breakfast, the massive rooms, lovely aesthetic, and unbeatable location make it a fantastic base for exploring Luoyang!

I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the location was super convenient — close to everything I needed. The staff were friendly and very helpful, quickly handling any issues I had. Highly recommend!

Firstly the reason why my wife and I decided on this boutique hotel was to sample the overall standard of the new crop of small locally operated boutique hotels springing out over China. Generally happy with our choice and decision. We were greeted upon checking in and daily when we went out and coming back by the young man who was managing the establishment. A great personal touch was that he actually came out of his office and greeted us at the courtyard with a ready smile. Location was good as it was relatively near to Longmen Grotto and also the famous lamb soup for breakfast (we were given complimentary vouchers for our first day breakfast by the hotel. Although the place was across the road from the hotel, we had to walk about 1.1km each way as the crossing could only be made at the traffic light zebra crossing. One ”romantic” feeling my wife and I had was hearing the low rumbling of the freight train transversing across the hotel. It reminded us of staying in the English countryside and hearing the train in the distance. Light sleepers might find this distracting but we are h eavy sleepers. Another selling point of this hotel was the well manicured courtyard planted with lots of different varieties of flowering plants and trees. It was an excellent place for us to relax in the late afternoon after some heavy sightseeing. The only downside and hopefully the hotel operator can improve is that the floor of the room seems to be a bit dusty because the floor towel in the washroom started to show stains of dust. However, everything else is clean especially the important items like bedding and towels. Strawberries were bought after visiting Erlitou Archaeological Museum and Site

Nice quiet hotel and very close to the Grottoes. Good comfortable beds. Great value. Be Aware the hotel is within the Grottoes complex so you must either walk 15-20 minutes from the taxi locations or contact the hotel and get picked up by there small open car. Great service. They drove us to a restaurant a d picked us up. Would definitely recommend

We had a very pleasant 4 night stay at the Banshan Siji Hotel in Luoyang. The resort is beautiful and secluded, away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Luoyang while remaining accessible. The location is very convenient to the high speed rail station, Longmen Grottoes, Guang Lin Temple and Peony Museum. It’s a bit further away to get to White Horse Temple, Lintang Gate and Luoyi Ancient City. However, the hotel offers a very convenient and comfortable private shuttle for train/airport transfer and a daily trips to or from town. Above all, I have to commend the team at this hotel for their excellent service and extremely friendly attitude. Everyone went out of their way to offer assistance for any of our needs and always with a smile. A huge bonus - they offered a complementary same-day laundry service which we used several times during our stay taking care of a major hassle on extended travels. From the reception, front desk, porters, drivers and housekeepers, we received top notch service rivalling hotels we’ve stayed at worldwide. The breakfast also deserves special mention. The selection was not as extensive as buffets at some major hotels but the quality was excellent and we found it to be more than enough to start each day before sightseeing. In addition to a small self serve area, you can order large bowls soup or noodles and they also provide a beautiful tray of delicacies. We very much enjoyed each day’s breakfast. Finally, the room we stayed in, with a private hot spring tub and private patio was spacious, clean, modern and beautiful. We enjoyed use the tub after full days of sightseeing to ease aching muscles and the bed was very comfortable. On our final night, we did experience a problem with a light switch not turn lights but the staff were quick to provide us another room so we could get to sleep. Another great example of their dedication to quality service. Overall, I was very pleased to have discovered this beautiful gem in Luoyang and it made our visit to this wonderful city that much more special and memorable.

Our stay at Marriott was great: the room was clean and spacious with view on the lake, the breakfast was delicious, with Asian and European food. The service was really 5 star and the concierge service, with Mr. John Zhang (really fluent in English), went far beyond our expectations: he booked for us a lot of attractions, organized the private driver and helped us with any little issue we had, from language difficulties to ticket entrance problems, really caring about us. A great thank you, you made our stay the perfect one.

Excellent location and staff was ready to help anytime. It felt like we're staying in an ancient Chinese castle with modern amenities. Room was well sound-proofed and we could turn in early for the night even though night market was bustling with visitors. Delicious breakfast was available right before Li Jing Gate. Use Google translate to communicate with staff if you can't speak mandarin.

It was located in front of the metro station, so a good location. However, when it comes to night because of the lack of soundproof walls, it was a challenge to sleep.
