Hotel berhampiran Kuil Murugan, Udhagamandalam

Fabulous setting up on a hill about a 20 min walk down  to the town(definitely get a rickshaw back).  Didn’t realise we could order eggs  for breakfast until our second morning (not offered them  on the first morning). Cake at breakfast was yummy. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned  on arrival  and there were splatters marks on the wall  above the tea/coffee area. We also returned to our room late afternoon to find maintenance working on our balcony - did feel this could have been done after checkout! Fabulous shower. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was very good. The high taxes in Tamil Nadu added to the price (almost 25%) so bear this in mind . Cocktails weee excellent. We did the morning ’hike’  which was well worth getting up for.  We were brought a hot water bottle on our second night which was a lovely surprise.  Tea & biscuits served between 5 & 5.30pm which was a nice touch  although more of the breakfast cake would have been good. Would recommend staying here as rooms, location  & restaurant are excellent.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The facilities were excellent, and the food was truly delightful. Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression.

Excellent Resort, away from the city rush. The rooms and Bathrooms are clean, Jaya ji at the reception was always helpful. Overall we had a 3 night pleasant stay, with a beautiful view.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were large enough. The restaurent , buffet breakfast is good. Need to watchout the hot water timings. overall a nice property.

The hotel services were excellent top notch. The staff were professional, provided me with a lot of extra services with no additional cost, rooms were clean. And most importantly the location is absolutely great. Just beside the botanical garden i had some amazing experiences. The only con is the room size is too small and i mean it. It's so small if you keep your luggage on the floor you won't be able to walk properly. This can be a major issue to a lot of people

I have found this property in make my trip. Absolutely this property maintain g clean and neat. The staffs also polite and humble. Main thing is car parking is too good and spacious. The view from the rooms also good

The property is located in a very nice place close to all tourist attaractions. The palace turned into a hotel is a must visit. The rooms take you back the kings era, giving you the nostalgic feel. The rooms are well furnished with antique furniture, paintungs and carpets. The hotel is owned by the wadayar group. The thing which i noticed that stands out is that they have not appointed professionally trained staff. But the staff all are very courteous and helpful. They have been retained for over 3 decades each which shows how good the employers are. Over all the property is a must visit to get the royal feel. Great job done by the staff.
