"The Mitsui Garden Hotel in Kumamoto is in a great location of the city. A short walk from shopping centers and the trams of Kumamoto, you will find yourself with an option to check in with staff or via a kiosk. The rooms for solo travelers is not too big, but has room for luggage and a good sized bed, and a desk too! A good air conditioner helps keep you cool during the summer, and you have good service from the staff as well! Amenities are located on the 1st floor, so stock up before going to your room. I would definitely stay here again in a new visit of Kumamoto."

"The hotel features modern Japanese-style rooms that are beautifully designed, clean, and peaceful. Guests can enjoy a relaxing onsen, along with complete facilities that ensure a comfortable stay. The location is very convenient, close to popular attractions—especially Shimotori Shopping Arcade—making it easy to get around and explore the area."

"An excellent hotel. The location is very convenient, a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Station or a 10-minute tram ride. The reception staff are courteous and attentive. Essential items can be collected on the ground floor. The room was on the very top floor. The beds are large. The cleaning service is excellent, with towels changed daily. Perhaps the only drawback is the lack of sufficient space to open a large suitcase, you have to jostle about to do so. At one point, the room became quite stuffy, the air conditioning didn’t help with the air circulation, and the window couldn’t be opened. I realise this has been done for everyone’s safety."

"As it is not near the JR station, you need to take a tram to get there. But it is near the castle and the arcade where there are many stalls to shop. Service is excellent. The bed is quite comfortable too."

"Great location. The hotel is right in the middle of major area. The hotel pays part of the parking fee at nearby lot. Many famous restaurants close to the hotel. The common area setup real nice. Free soft-drink, coffee, coco. The water pressure in the shower is great."

"Stayed at Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kumamoto recently and had a comfortable stay overall. The room was spacious enough to comfortably open 2 large luggage, which was a big plus. Amenities were well provided and the location was very convenient, with plenty of eateries nearby. The only area I felt could be improved was the bed and pillows, as they were a little too soft for my preference. Other than that, it was a pleasant and convenient stay."

"Perfect location for kumamoto food market trip. Kumamoto castle was within walking distance and was able to see through the room window. I enjoyed the small but nice onsens the most."

"We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room for 3 adults, which featured 2 single beds and 1 comfortable sofa bed. The hotel is directly adjacent to JR Kumamoto Station via a covered walkway, making transit incredibly easy. Since we drove, transporting our luggage was a breeze; the underground parking at the Amu Plaza mall features an elevator that goes directly up to the hotel lobby on the 9th floor. The hotel rooms themselves are located on the 10th to 12th floors. Having direct access to the Amu Plaza mall right below us was incredibly convenient for fashion shopping, dining, and picking up souvenirs. Parking costs a very reasonable ¥1,000 JPY per night for hotel guests. We also loved the bathroom design—the toilet and the shower/bathtub wet room are completely separated into independent rooms, allowing us to use the facilities simultaneously with total privacy. The washbasin is also conveniently placed in a separate dry vanity area outside. This hotel is highly recommended for its exceptional comfort, shopping, and convenience!"

"Location is very good, walking distance to the shopping streets. We had everything we need from the amenities area. Breakfast is very good range, and most important YUMMY! The staffs at the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful too, they even helped my son (5yr old) with his drink he wants 🥰 We loved the bath, face and hand towels that are used in the hotel. They feel so soft to the skin!"
