Hotel berhampiran Kereta Kabel Shoshazan, Himeji

First time staying at a Dormy hotel inn and super impressed with the level of hospitality for the price! 1. Public onsen and sauna are available on the top floor. Gender segregated with both indoor and outdoor (rotenburo) sections and the usual amenities. Only the sauna is closed overnight, the onsen remains open. Washing machine and dryer are available on 12F too. The washing machine is free, the dryer is not. 2. Free refreshment once you're done with your onsen. Ice cream at night and probiotic drink in the morning. 3. Free serving of ramen (yonakisoba) at night from 21:30-23:00. Head over to the restaurant at 2F. 4. Breakfast buffet is available and it was honestly quite decent for the price. Would stay at Dormy again if I return to Japan 😊

Quiet location but still only minutes from station and shops. We stayed for an extended period as visiting family and Stayed in a twin room which is a very good size. Plenty of room to ‘live’ . Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good, great choices and all very fresh. The breakfast area being used as a ‘lounge’ with free drinks from 2-8pm was very useful. Cannot speak highly enough of our stay. One very minor thing, is that there is no room safe so if you feel the need to lock valuables away they have to be deposited with reception. Would highly recommend Richmond Hotel.

An excellently located hotel, only approximately three minutes from the train station, with welcoming and professional staff. The room was clean and well appointed with a lovely night view of the city. There are plentiful adjacent shops and restaurants, and the castle is a direct half an hours walk away.

I give 5star although its 12min walk away from station because its so near shops and castle. Service i also give 5star because they let me leave my luggage before check in time.. but be sure you be there before 10am. Its quite old place. Rooms at second floor. I like it they let me choose the empty space i wanted instead of assigning any bed to me..

The hotel is quite large and well-equipped, which gives it a spacious and comfortable atmosphere. One of the highlights is the breakfast — there is a good variety, and the menu changes every day, which keeps things interesting during the stay. However, the room I stayed in had a minor issue, which was a bit disappointing. Hopefully, the hotel can pay more attention to room maintenance in the future. Overall, it was a decent experience with some room for improvement.

Hotel was clean and super close to the station. Himeji Castle reachable by foot. Staff was kind and keen to help, we really felt welcome here. Room was small (as everywhere in Japan) but clean and provided with all the amenities needed! We would absolutely recommend this place! PS: They also have a cool onsen with a sauna and an outdoor bath!

Very clean hotel with polite and professional staff. The room was comfortable . The location made it easy to explore the area. Great value for the price.

Apart from the water supply issue in the room, the rest are perfect. The breakfast was good, and the night views from the hotel was spectacular. The water supply in the room was too slow, and I had to go to the public bathroom for brushing teeth. The staff offered to upgrade us to another room, but we don't like the 2 single beds room so we decided to stay in the one King bedroom that we reserved.

Excellent place and location, the service is also good and the price is affordable. The place is very near to the Himeji Station and the Himeji Castle. I would stay here again 👍

The building was extremely old and poorly lit; the reception area, the guest rooms everything felt dim and gloomy. The room slippers were not disposable, which I found unhygienic, so I couldn't bring myself to wear them. Since my room was located right near the elevator, I could clearly hear the sounds of people walking in the hallway; furthermore, even while inside my room, the conversations from neighboring guest rooms were so loud that I couldn't get any sleep at night.
