Hotel berhampiran Bangbae-dong, Seoul

"I took the non-stop airport rail using a normal T-money card, with a subway line transfer before reaching Sinsa. There are around four flights of stairs with no lift at Sinsa Exit 4. Paris Baguette will welcome you at the ground floor. Navigate using Naver Map, as it’s at least a 10-minute walk with several turns. You definitely won’t be able to spot Ostello purely by eye power. A small but well-equipped CU is just a 2-minute walk from Ostello. I self-checked in at around 9pm using the tablet at the counter, which can be switched to different languages. Your room card will be dispensed by the machine. For early check-in, you can leave your luggage just outside the counter on L1. I stayed in the L3 female room. On your bed, there is a black laundry bag containing a bottle of water, paper slippers and towels. The bed is the hard-but-comfortable type that I prefer. The aircon wasn’t particularly strong before I went to sleep, but it got colder throughout the night. There is also a hot and cold water dispenser on L3. Inside your capsule, there is a tiny rectangular locker, plus another locker assigned according to your bed number in the public area on your level. The latter is large enough to fit a small backpack. The washroom area has three toilets, all separated from the three to four shower rooms. It is equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, all of which were good, including the moisturising conditioner. There are also multiple Dyson-lookalike hair dryers, JM Solution water makeup remover, cotton pads and hair ties. I saw free breakfast being served at B1, consisting of plain sliced bread and jam, but I didn’t try it. Overall, the room and amenities aren’t too bad for the price, but the location requires quite a bit of walking. I found myself switching between Line 3 and Line 2 quite often to get to major locations, which involved plenty of walking and, of course, all the scary subway stairs! The hostel is located in a residential area. I didn’t find it unsafe or uncomfortable returning at night. I reckon those coming to Seoul for plastic surgery may particularly appreciate the price point and location. Airport bus 6009 is also nearby, although I didn’t take it."

"I somehow always end up at this hotel! It’s really comfy and the location is great! The rooms are a bit dark with som poor lighting so I really wish they could add more lights and the shower is a bit lowly maintained! But I still like going here and would recommend."

"Great Location, Comfortable Stay Near Sadang Station I stayed here for 6 nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. I would recommend this hotel for both short trips and longer stays. Location: Very convenient, located near Sadang Station (Line 2), making it easy to travel around Seoul. Airport access is also smooth with airport bus 6016 nearby. Exit 8 has some escalators. There are many amenities around, including 2 Olive Young stores, Daiso, and multiple convenience stores (GS25 and CU). Food options are plentiful, mostly Korean restaurants, with some Italian, Vietnamese, and Thai choices. Pastel City across the road also has a good selection of restaurants. Room: The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable for 1–2 people. Although the listing states “no window,” there is actually an outdoor terrace with transparent doors, so the room doesn’t feel enclosed. • Strong shower pressure with good heating • Separate toilet and shower area • Large bathtub • TV with YouTube and Netflix • Wooden flooring and good lighting • Outdoor terrace with table and chairs (a nice bonus) Service: Staff were friendly and helpful, and they could communicate in basic English. Cons: • Dressing table and dining table are slightly low, which may be uncomfortable for taller guests • Soundproofing could be improved—you may hear housekeeping noise from nearby rooms Overall: A comfortable and well-located hotel with great convenience and amenities. I enjoyed my 6-night stay and would stay here again."

"Check in was at 1900. Check out at 9am. This is crazy. Never seen hotel with such late check in and check out time. Of course if I knew I d never book it. I paid 60$ just to sleep."

"Convenient to travel from the airport—Bus 6009 stops nearby. The hotel is located right by the Orange Line subway. The staff provide good service and offer luggage storage. However, the downside is that the bed is very hard and not comfortable to sleep on. Overall, it’s a good stay."

"It’s pretty average and quite dusty but convenient enough. The room is well decorated and very smart. Location is closed to SUBWAY and buses. Its a air b&b so service is not there. I bought them many things in the room too haha very good luck for the next customers."

"The hotel is OK. Amenities are not included, you need to pay extra for an amenity bag. Location is great, near the subway. But the room is loud in the night, I can hear other people flushing their toilets, showering, or even the fridge sounds."

"I came to Korea for dental treatment and the hotel is the best hotel I could find and afford. I stayed in Toyoko inn a couple of times before in Japan with my wife. It is an excellent hotel in terms of cleaning and service."
