Staying at this traditional Korean thatched-roof house (chogajip) in Jeonju was such a special and unforgettable experience! I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. to give her a unique taste of Korean culture—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was great, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful :) After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with check-in. For international guests, it may be a bit difficult to communicate, so having someone help with the message is a good idea! If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss the chance to stay in a beautiful chogajip and experience a piece of traditional life. Highly recommended! ❤️

Such a lovely, unforgettable experience of staying in a traditional hanok pension. Owners are kind and mainly Korean-speaking locals. They may not be there during check in, so remember the room name in your booking for easy identification, or inform them of your exact arrival time to ensure a smooth process. Our room was cosy but had a comfortable double bed, TV, cold water in fridge, Korean bath towels and clothes hooks. (Hot water kettle and mugs can be found in the mini lounge hut near the gate.) The spacious and separated bathroom was rare, and the ondol floor was such a warm treat in winter. We were even given freshly made tteok and honey as breakfast treats. Good value in the heart of Jeonju, within minutes walk of everything. Thank you for the hospitality! We had a healing stay.

We really loved our hotel room — it was very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean, both in the room and throughout the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. The location is great as well: very close to the Ajung lake and in a quiet, peaceful area. The breakfast was excellent, perfect for starting an active day. Highly recommended!

전반적으로 아주 만족스러운 숙박이었습니다. 실내 인테리어와 어매니티가 모두 소개 사진에서처럼 잘 구비되어 있었고, LP 플레이어, 다도 세트, 다이슨 헤어드라이어 등과 함께 하나하나 QR을 통해 튜토리얼을 볼 수 있는 세심한 디테일이 돋보였습니다. 소품 하나하나가 예뻐서 기분이 좋아지는 숙소였어요. 옥상 글램핑과 바베큐 세트도 주문했는데요, 유선으로 편하게 예약하고 방문해서 결재할 수 있었어요. 가격은 2인 글램핑 4만원(4시간 사용), 바베큐 세트 4만원, 총 8만원이었습니다. 저녁에 고기 외식하면 그 이상 쓰게 될 테니 가격도 합리적인 수준이었습니다. 구성은 삼겹살 1인분, 목살 1인분, 떡갈비(?) 1개, 라면 1개, 소스 세트, 고추/마늘, 마시멜로우 6개, 참크래커 1통 등이었으며, 고기 전용 인덕션 불판으로 맛있게 구워 먹을 수 있었어요. 술은 직접 가져갈 수 있도록 캠핑용 와인잔, 전동 오프너 등이 준비되어 있어요. 로비에서 한복을 대여할 수 있는데, 건물 안에서만 입을 수 있습니다. 한복은 모두 프리 사이즈고, 남성의 경우 95-100 정도로 보였어요. 무료 대여 한복인데 한옥마을에서 대여하는 것보다도 색상과 퀄리티가 준수했습니다. 직원 분께서도 이런저런 문의에 친절하게 응대해주셨어요. 모텔촌에 자리잡고 있어 위치가 다소 아쉽지만, 덕분에 이 모든 것들을 가성비 있게 즐길 수 있어 좋았습니다.

I had a wonderful stay at Iga Hanok. Checking in late in the evening was seamless, as I found my key card along with all the necessary information waiting for me at the front desk. The architecture of the property is beautiful in its simplicity, yet incredibly captivating. Location-wise, it is highly convenient, just a short walk from the Jeonju Hanok Village and Omokdae, with a CU convenience store right across the street. My only piece of advice for future guests would be to check the mini-fridge in the room. The late July and early August heat in South Korea is a real challenge, and AC is used constantly to combat it. However, I am not used to the freezing temperatures of 21–22°C (70–71°F) that locals prefer, so I tried to turn it off or raise the temperature. Unfortunately, whenever the room temperature rose above 25°C (77°F), the mini-fridge would start making incredibly loud noises, likely due to an overheating protection mechanism. These noises would last for over 10 minutes, forcing me to turn the AC back down just to cool the room and silence the fridge. All in all, despite this minor inconvenience, I would still highly recommend this place. It is beautiful, clean, and exceptionally convenient.

The rooms are spacious and suitable for families. However, the beds in the family rooms are not large enough, making sleep rather cramped. The toilet in the bathroom is outdated, and the swimming pool is not open. The scale is that of a four-star establishment, but the service and facilities are merely average.

The place had a cozy, homey vibe that made me feel right at ease. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us warmly with his charming eye smile and was always eager to help. The room was great, featuring a TV, a mini fridge and a spacious bathroom stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes. We visited during winter and the room was wonderfully warm, creating the perfect retreat from the cold. We even had the opportunity to prepare our own breakfast - eggs, bread, butter, jam, coffee and milk. To top it off, I did my laundry there, which was incredibly convenient. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He’s genuinely one of the kindest Koreans I’ve met during my trip. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I absolutely fell in love with this place. I would definitely return! Sir, this is me, your guest from the Philippines. 첫 제주여행으로 어디에서 묵을지 매우 고민이 많았습니다! 저는 협재와 애월을 중심으로 관광할 예정이라 위치 선정에 고민이 많았답니다 (╥﹏╥) 제주공항에서 20분 이내! 호텔 큰처 스타벅스, 편의점이 위치 해 있었고 지하주차장&지상주차장 두개가 있어서 매우 유용하게 사용할 수 있었어요 ! 청결도도 좋았고 청소 서비스 및 직원분들도 친절했습니다 :)

석가탄신일 연휴 고2 딸과의 여행을 위해 어렵게 구한 숙소 로비에 폼클렌징 부터 여행자들이 깜박하고 챙기지 못한 소소한 물품들이 다 준비되어 있고 냉장고에는 음료수와 우유, 커피 등 간단한 간식거리 아침에는 직접구워주시는 모닝빵까지 5성호텔급의 깔끔함을 원하시는게 아니라면 넓고 쾌적합니다 위치는 시청바로 앞이라 교통도 좋구요 한옥마을까지는 도보로 10분 조금넘게 걸리는데 오가는길이 다 명소들이라 걸어다닐만 합니다 인근에 현대옥부터 해서 맛집들도제법 있구요~ 암튼 딸과 들이 아주 만족스러운 2박3일 이었습니다!
