Hotel berhampiran Pasar Nambu, Jeonju-si

Staying at this traditional Korean thatched-roof house (chogajip) in Jeonju was such a special and unforgettable experience! I booked this place for my friend visiting from the U.S. to give her a unique taste of Korean culture—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location was great, the room was clean and cozy, and the host was incredibly kind and helpful :) After booking, I recommend contacting the host in advance to let them know your estimated arrival time—it really helps with check-in. For international guests, it may be a bit difficult to communicate, so having someone help with the message is a good idea! If you’re visiting Korea, don’t miss the chance to stay in a beautiful chogajip and experience a piece of traditional life. Highly recommended! ❤️

Such a lovely, unforgettable experience of staying in a traditional hanok pension. Owners are kind and mainly Korean-speaking locals. They may not be there during check in, so remember the room name in your booking for easy identification, or inform them of your exact arrival time to ensure a smooth process. Our room was cosy but had a comfortable double bed, TV, cold water in fridge, Korean bath towels and clothes hooks. (Hot water kettle and mugs can be found in the mini lounge hut near the gate.) The spacious and separated bathroom was rare, and the ondol floor was such a warm treat in winter. We were even given freshly made tteok and honey as breakfast treats. Good value in the heart of Jeonju, within minutes walk of everything. Thank you for the hospitality! We had a healing stay.

I had the most beautiful stay at One Madison in Jeonju — truly unforgettable. This hotel perfectly blends modern comfort with the elegance of a traditional Korean hanok. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was stepping into a peaceful, aesthetic dream. The architecture preserves the authentic hanok charm, but everything inside feels luxurious and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite parts was the traditional-style bathtub inspired by classic hanok design — it made the whole experience feel even more special and unique. Taking a bath there felt like traveling back in time, but with all the modern comfort you could possibly want. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and incredibly photogenic. Every corner of the hotel is beautifully curated. The details, the lighting, the textures — everything feels intentional and harmonious. If you’re visiting Jeonju and want a stay that feels cultural, elegant, and cozy at the same time, this is absolutely the place. I fell in love with it and would 100% stay here again. Bon établissement très proche du vieux quartier de Jeonju. Chambre suffisamment grande pour une personne. Ameublement minimal mais la literie est bonne. Cuisine et salle de bain tout à côté. Les escaliers sont un peu raides. Propriétaire sympathique qui parle très bien anglais.

Parfait, les gérants : adorables ( au petit soin avec moi, voyageuse solo avec mon gros sac) . Ils  indiquent à tout leur résident sur un plan les découvertes à faire et les restaurants locales où aller et nous donne un plan de Jeonju. Le petit dej en self service est copieux ( toast, œufs, café lait jus beurre confiture ) Point de vue qualité prix emplacement service : imbattable . Je recommande chaudement

The location is very convenient. A quick 10 minute walk to the hanok village where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. There are buses connecting to Jeonju station and a taxi is less than 10 AUD. My bed and room were clean. There was good luggage storage space. The sheets were clean, but instead of a pillowcase, there was just a flat piece of fabric to put over the pillow. I received a new towel each day (stayed two nights), but my old towel wasn't removed. The toilet felt slightly cramped but the showers were fine in terms of space. In one of the shower rooms, it was unclear which way was hot/cold water on the tap because the stickers marking that had worn off. There is a basket to put your clothes in hanging off the top of the shower cubicle, but you might struggle to reach it if you're very short. I didn't receive express instructions about luggage storage, but when I asked staff, they gave me a locker to leave my suitcase in.

석가탄신일 연휴 고2 딸과의 여행을 위해 어렵게 구한 숙소 로비에 폼클렌징 부터 여행자들이 깜박하고 챙기지 못한 소소한 물품들이 다 준비되어 있고 냉장고에는 음료수와 우유, 커피 등 간단한 간식거리 아침에는 직접구워주시는 모닝빵까지 5성호텔급의 깔끔함을 원하시는게 아니라면 넓고 쾌적합니다 위치는 시청바로 앞이라 교통도 좋구요 한옥마을까지는 도보로 10분 조금넘게 걸리는데 오가는길이 다 명소들이라 걸어다닐만 합니다 인근에 현대옥부터 해서 맛집들도제법 있구요~ 암튼 딸과 들이 아주 만족스러운 2박3일 이었습니다!

A convenient enough location - at rhe extreme eastern edge of the Hanok village area - still within walking distance of everything you'd want to see and experience in Jeonju. Although refurbished plainly, the ”pension” room served its purpose - Hanok accomodation by the site. In my opinion, I think that the room was still undersized ((no room for even a chair or small table) while the washroom was bigger than needed. Small towels, and a finicky door lock could also be addressed. That said, a very comfortable bed 😀, as opposed to a futon. Access to the city bus and train station best done by arranging for a taxi as the bus routes on the highway just above the place, are neither reliably scheduled nor matched transit app (at least the one I had.)
