Hotel berhampiran Jalan Freak, Kathmandu

Kami berbesar hati menginap di hotel yang luar biasa ini selama 6 malam, dan kami tidak boleh lebih teruja dengan pengalaman kami. Dari saat kami tiba, kakitangan mempamerkan layanan yang asli dan mesra yang membuatkan kami berasa seperti di rumah sendiri. Kemesraan tulen dan kesanggupan mereka untuk membantu dengan setiap permintaan adalah di luar jangkaan kami. Salah satu sorotan penginapan kami ialah kebersihan dan ketenangan bilik kami yang luar biasa. Terbukti bahawa penjagaan yang baik telah diambil untuk memastikan persekitaran yang bersih, membolehkan kami berehat dan berehat dalam keselesaan yang terbaik. Ais pada kek adalah penerimaan internet yang hebat, yang membolehkan kami kekal berhubung dengan lancar sepanjang penginapan kami. Dengan setiap hidangan, kami meneroka pelbagai hidangan yang berbeza, setiap satu lebih menarik daripada yang lepas. Boleh dikatakan bahawa tawaran masakan melebihi jangkaan kami dalam semua cara. Sebutan yang patut diberi perhatian ialah kedudukan hotel yang berdekatan dengan Boudha Stupa, hanya 10 minit berjalan kaki jauhnya. Ini menjadikan lawatan kami ke stupa itu sangat mudah dan membolehkan kami menyelami sepenuhnya suasananya yang tenang. Apa yang membezakan hotel ini bukan sahaja kemudahan dan perkhidmatannya yang luar biasa tetapi juga peluang unik yang ditawarkannya. Sesi yoga dan meditasi percuma setiap hari yang diadakan di dalam biara di premis itu benar-benar transformatif. Kami amat mengesyorkan agar anda bertanya tentang jadual daripada kakitangan hotel yang prihatin – ini adalah pengalaman yang menambah nilai yang tidak terukur kepada penginapan kami. Ringkasnya, masa kami di hotel ini adalah luar biasa. Gabungan kakitangan yang prihatin, bilik yang rapi, masakan yang lazat, dan sentuhan tambahan sesi yoga dan meditasi percuma menjadikan hotel ini pilihan yang menonjol bagi sesiapa yang mencari penginapan yang tidak dapat dilupakan berhampiran Boudha Stupa. A fantastic hotel with beautiful architecture and wooden detailing. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Free yoga in the morning on the rooftop and a walking tour is provided upon request. The rooms are large with lots of light. The bathroom is functional with good water pressure. For winter, an electric blanket, portable heater and hot water bottles are supplied. Delicious and well priced breakfast. Amazing value for money.

The Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in a great location, walking distance to great souvenirs in Thamal, tourist sites like the Garden of Dreams and the former Royal Palace. The hotel staff were so friendly, engaging and helpful. The hotel has a pool up on level 7 with great views of Kathmandu. The only flaw with the pool is it is surrounded by the restaurant, so no one swims in it. I had a suite the room was beautiful, very happy with the cleanliness and room service. The only flaw with the room is that it backed on to the service area for staff who were all working very hard, but there was banging and clanging all night and morning.

Absolutely in love with the hotel. From checking in to checking out, we were attended by really great staff. We were first greeted with a scarf/shawl/cloth and given a welcome drink. Luggage was send to the room for us and breakfast was really good!! They prepared a birthday and anniversary celebration for us too! We had such a great time. Room was really clean and spacious! View from room was good too! Spa wasn’t great, not worth the price but I Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

The skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here. I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there! The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu! All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!

The hotel is conveniently situated right behind of the Garden of Dreams. Just a short walking distance to the busy Thamel area. The vicinity has convenience stores, cafes, eateries and pharmacy. The room is quite small but it's alright for a short stay. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as other hotels that I've stayed. Very basic fitness facility in the hotel, do wish that they would make the gym bigger and better equipped. The breakfast buffet is good enough for some fuel before heading out to explore. Omelette could definitely be improved but I do like the mushrooms and bacon with my omelette. They also have a soup station which you can pick what you want to go into your soup. The soy latte was nicely done. Some day they serve the chocolate cake which is a must try. Staffs are very well trained and speaks good english. I'd definitely recommend staying here for the value for money, fantastic location and good hospitality.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

Location is alright, there’s occasional cockroaches running past you when you are in the room, cleanliness has a lot to improve on. Worst part is that I booked a single room and was given a room next to the elevator with a window without curtain, anyone tall enough would be able to look into my room and everything in it, to add on to that, the room was next to the elevator and you can hear every footstep and noise/chat coming from the corridor, and when the elevator moves, there’s this super unnecessary music that runs with it so you would get a sense of that throughout the day and night. When I went to the receptionist to ask for a different room, she told me there’s no other rooms available and I have to pay an extra 1500 rupee to upgrade to a different room, that amount, adding with the original I paid for- would already be much higher than a standard deluxe room. Obviously she and the hotel was trying to scam me by leveraging on giving a super lousy room at first. Even though they eventually agreed to change room for me at no charge, I was honestly traumatised by this hotel and was uncomfortable through the stay. Then at check-out in the next morning, the guy was reluctant to let me go asking if I had already paid and making calls to confirm about it. Overall there’s surely better rooms for similar price in Thamel, so do try to skip this hotel unless you like some good memorable reasons to spoil your trip.

The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the service, as well as the food is excellent. The rooms however, are very old and small (we were able to change rooms after bringing this up with reception). The location is in Thamel and getting to nearby attractions is convenient

I stayed for 2 nights, it didn't feel safe for me as a solo woman traveller. One the first night around 11pm there were 3-4 men shouting and laughing and knocked my door. I was scared and called the reception. The phone wire was not connected to the phone, i have to hold it tight to the phone while i was speaking. It was a terrifying experience. When in emergency even the phone wasn't working! the receptionist took 30 min to for the men to calm down. The next day morning the receptionist told me they men moved out. But i saw them in the evening in the hotel. Didn't feel safe. Again, the men, shouting and aloud. Still i couldn't sleep there, awake whole two nights i stayed there, didn't feel safe. The place was clean. Location was good.
