PPengguna TetamuThis is a historical hotel where the author of James Bond books once lived and where one of the movies was filmed.
The rooms are good quality.
The spa has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, massage showers, hammam, sauna. However, they refused to give me more than 1 towel per visit.
The breakfast is good quality. You can order a custom-made omelette with various ingredients. The fruit choice included mango and papaya even in winter.
The only unpleasant moment was that they tried to downgrade the room category for us (give a lower category room than originally booked, even though it was in low season). I have never experienced that before in my entire life. Fortunately, thanks to an efficient intervention of the trip.com customer support, we managed to get the exact room type that we originally booked, but there was a little bit of a stress, so I advise everyone to double-check directly with the hotel what room category you will be put in BEFORE you arrive.

Very clean and well maintained facilities, comfortable room.
Very friendly and helpful owner couple.
Small kitchen available for making simple breakfast BUT not for meal cooking. Fridge provided.
50/50: Location.
It is a bit far from Lisbon centre, with little public transport choices nearby and a long ride (~1hour). Uber (~25mins).
However, Uber is very affordable in Portugal, if you travel in group of 2-4 persons, then it is worth and convenience to take Uber. Then the location wouldn't be a problem.
I chose to stay here because it locates in between Lisbon and Sintra, two major sites to visit in Portugal. I simply took Uber to both places and it works great for me. Saving effort as I didn't have to change hotel for both locations.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaStandard three star hotel. Fantastic location and easy to get to all the main sightseeing stuff. Some aesthetic issues in the room. Cigarette burn in the cloth headboard, bathroom sink bowl wasn’t bolted down, and the top rain shower head didn’t work and the shower area had mold. Pretty standard European two single beds pushed together, no bigger than a dorm room mat and about as soft as a box spring. The air conditioner controller is just for show, the main staff has control over it. But other than a hard bed that would split down the middle having you fall through and in between the mattresses, a hot room, and a bathroom sink almost torn from the fixtures and nearly dropped on the ol toes the staff is amazing and the just having the sheer proximity to the lively restaurants and beaches overshadowed any of the negatives

CCarolyne_fsQuando eu vi que o hotel se encontra em uma ONG, fiquei assustada, mas quando cheguei ao local me encantei com o carinho, cuidado e zelo pelo ambiente e por tudo que é feito lá. As suítes são separadas de forma privada e muito bem organizada. Os quartos são suficientes para uma estadia curta: limpos e confortáveis. O hotel fica de frente para a praia e fiz uma caminhada muito agradável na redondeza. Se procura um local acessível para uma estadia curta, vá sem medo.

DDinaI had a nice stay in the hostel, it just feels like home and everyone was friendly and accomodating. What I really like was the location because it was just close to the beautiful Carcavelos Beach, shops and metro station are also nearby so it was very convinient. Another thing that I like about my stay was the amenities they offer like the kitchen where you can cook your food anytime, they also have a swimming pool, a spacious living area where you can watch tv or just chill with your phone or laptop. I would difinitely recommend this hostel and would probably stay here again on my next visit to Portugal.
