Hotel berhampiran Pantai Ao Thian, Koh Samet

This is a good low budget option to experience island life, but not that low budget £60 per night ( January 2026) We are very familiar with island life in Thailand and appreciate that some things just don’t work as well. The location of Malibu Samed Resort is gorgeous, it’s more or less situated on the beach of the small quaint Wong Duean Bay. There are several beach restaurants available, the vibe is chilled, without the drinking or ******** culture. It’s lovely. Our welcome was warm, the staff were great and happy to help with our luggage. Our room is small 16 m² with 2 single beds, some hanging and storage space. It has a rustic feel to it. There is a fridge which is always welcome, tea and coffee making facilities, which we always appreciate, as well as a safety deposit box & flat screen TV. The bed and pillow are comfortable but not sumptuous. Towels are provided and I would say are of typical island quality. However the shower was an issue, obviously water is limited on the island and taking a hot shower was challenging but actually having a good supply of water either in the evening or morning was very hit and miss. Missed more often, it gets frustrating when you can’t have an adequate shower, that’s one of the reasons we move about frequently. Breakfast is of limited quality but there are a variety of options including cereal, hot food both western & Thai. Toast cereal and tea & coffee. The pool area was hardly used during our stay so a nice quiet retreat from the beach was available.

We recently stayed at Samet Cabana Resort on Ao Wong Duean, and it was exactly the tropical escape we were looking for. We booked the Beach Cabana, and we cannot recommend it enough. The Room: Staying in the Beach Cabana meant waking up to the sound of the waves every morning. Stepping out onto the porch with a view of the ocean was the highlight of the trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and had that authentic island bungalow feel while still having modern amenities (the AC worked great!). Being just a few steps from the water made all the difference. The Location: Ao Wong Duean is a fantastic beach, it’s lively enough to have good restaurants and fire shows at night, but much more relaxed than the busy main pier area. The water was clear and great for swimming right in front of the resort. Service & Food: The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, from check-in to check-out. The breakfast buffet had a good mix of options to start the day. If you are coming to Koh Samet, do yourself a favour and splurge a little for the Beach Cabana. It transforms the trip from a standard hotel stay into a real beach holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

Was a reasonable stay for one night and the breakfast decent range of choice. Room was clean but the only thing which made me concerned was when it came to booking the grand deluxe room It stated sea view room you can only see a little bit just a heads up for anybody staying here. Would stay here again in the future.

เกาะเสม็ด 3 วัน 2 คืน แบบไม่มีรถส่วนตัว บอกเลยว่า ไปง่ายกว่าที่คิดมากกก 🌊✨ ทริปนี้เราเริ่มจากกรุงเทพฯ นั่ง BTS ไปเอกมัย ต่อรถบัสเชิดชัยไปบ้านเพ แล้วนั่งเรือข้ามไปเกาะเสม็ดแบบชิลๆ ไม่ต้องขับรถเอง ไม่ต้องเหนื่อยกับการเดินทางไกล แต่สุดท้ายได้ครบทั้งพักผ่อน ดำน้ำ กินซีฟู้ด และเดินเล่นริมทะเลแบบเต็มอิ่ม ที่พักรอบนี้เราจอง ทับทิมรีสอร์ท ผ่าน Trip.com ได้ราคาประมาณคืนละ 1,800 กว่าบาท รวม 2 คืน 2 คนก็ประมาณ 4,000 กว่าบาท และรวมอาหารเช้าแล้ว ถือว่าดีมากสำหรับทริปทะเลสั้นๆ ที่อยากเน้นพักสบาย ส่วนรถบัสเราเลือกจองล่วงหน้าของเชิดชัยทัวร์ ไป-กลับ 2 คนรวมแล้วประมาณ 1,000 กว่าบาท ขาไปขึ้นจากเอกมัยประมาณ 9 โมง ไปถึงบ้านเพราว 12.30 น. ระหว่างทางมีแมคโดนัลด์แจกบนรถด้วยทั้งขาไปและขากลับ รายละเอียดเล็กๆ แต่ทำให้รู้สึกว่าทริปนี้เริ่มต้นง่ายและสบายมาก พอถึงบ้านเพ เราไปต่อเรือนวลทิพย์ข้ามไปเกาะเสม็ด คนละ 60 บาท ใช้เวลาประมาณ 45 นาที ลงที่ท่าเรือหน้าด่าน แล้วนั่งรถสองแถวต่อไปที่พักอีกคนละ 30 บาท คืนแรกบนเกาะคือดีมากกก เราไปกินบุฟเฟ่ต์ทะเลย่างเนยริมทะเลแถวหาดทรายแก้ว แล้วเดินต่อไปดูโชว์ควงไฟแถว Silver Sand บอกเลยว่าเป็นบรรยากาศที่ทำให้รู้สึกว่า “เออ นี่แหละ วันพักผ่อนจริงๆ” วันที่ 2 คือไฮไลต์ของทริป เราจองทริปดำน้ำ 6 เกาะกับแชร์บ๊วยทัวร์ ราคา 700 บาทต่อคน รวมรถรับส่งจากที่พักเรียบร้อย ทริปเริ่มเที่ยงถึงห้าโมงเย็น ได้ออกเรือ เล่นน้ำ ดำน้ำ ถ่ายรูป ครบมาก เป็นวันที่สนุกและคุ้มสุดๆ กลับเข้าฝั่งช่วงเย็นก็ยังไม่หมดวันนะ เรายังไปกินข้าวต่อที่ร้านพลอยทะเล แล้วแวะซื้อน้ำปั่นร้านลุงจิน ก่อนเดินเล่นถ่ายรูปตามโซนหน้าหาดต่ออีกหน่อย บรรยากาศบนเกาะตอนเย็นคือดีแบบไม่ต้องพยายามเลย แค่เดินก็เพลินแล้ว เช้าวันกลับ เราแวะนั่งกาแฟที่ Cafe Amazon ตรงท่าเรือหน้าด่าน มองวิวทะเลทิ้งท้ายก่อนขึ้นเรือรอบ 11 โมงกลับบ้านเพ แล้วต่อรถบัสเชิดชัยรอบบ่าย 2 กลับเอกมัย ถึงกรุงเทพฯ ประมาณ 17.30 น. ถึง 18.00 น. แล้วแต่สภาพจราจร สรุปเลยนะ ทริปนี้เป็นอีกหนึ่งทริปทะเลที่เหมาะมากสำหรับคนที่อยากไปพักแต่ไม่อยากขับรถเอง ขอแค่จองทุกอย่างล่วงหน้าไว้หน่อย ทั้งรถ ที่พัก เรือ และทริปดำน้ำ เท่านี้ก็เที่ยวเกาะเสม็ดแบบสบายๆ ได้แล้ว ใครกำลังหาทริปทะเล 3 วัน 2 คืน ใกล้กรุงเทพฯ ที่มีครบทั้งพัก กิน เที่ยว ดำน้ำ และบรรยากาศดีๆ เกาะเสม็ดยังเป็นคำตอบที่ดีมากจริงๆ 💙🏝️ #เกาะเสม็ด #รีวิวเกาะเสม็ด #เสม็ด3วัน2คืน #เที่ยวทะเลใกล้กรุงเทพ #ทับทิมรีสอร์ท #หาดทรายแก้ว #ดำน้ำเกาะเสม็ด #เที่ยวเสม็ด #SametIsland #เที่ยวไทย

Newly renovated rooms; comfortable & cleaned. Beautiful private peaceful beach. All the hotel staff that we had contacted did excellent jobs. Enjoyed live music & a fire show in the evening. We gave 200 THB to the fire show men. Frankly speaking, their fire show skills are much better than Hawaii. (Except, no hip dance) It would be nice if the other hotel guests would have given them some tips, too. Everything was good, except the music at the restaurant by the beach was a bit too loud. I will return to stay at this hotel again if I go to Samed next time.

Great place for a family holiday! We had a bungalow on the beach, with its own terrace. The house has a small second floor, where a double bed fits. There is everything you need. A good restaurant with a great view of the sea. This hotel does not have a beach, as the coast is rocky, but literally 100 meters away there is a beautiful sandy beach with numerous cafes and bars. We thank the hotel staff for their hospitality and excellent service!

You can walk from the pier to the hotel but recommended hiring the bus if you don't wanna drag your luggage all the way to the rough path. Lots of local food place, 711 nearby, laundromat. Room is nice and clean. Bed is big and soft. TV Streaming is available. Big bath tub and 129 thb bath bomb provided. 2 bottle of water provided. Fabric bag and sandals provided. The bath room is spacious Hotel staffs is helpful.

We booked the room with the breakfast included for 2 adults because our daughter doesn’t wake up for breakfast and doesn’t really like what’s on offer for breakfast. Upon check in we were charged for her breakfast anyway even I explained she will not come for breakfast. In the morning we decided to give a go. The breakfast is nothing to be excited about. Not much choice and the quality of food is very low. Even fried eggs are over cooked to a rubbery consistency and cold. Scrambled eggs looks horrible. Coffee tastes bad (sour). There is no option to book without breakfast. The room is tired and needs a good cleaning. All the furniture is moulded. Linenswith marks on them. I really dont understand the price of 250 usd per night for this service. In the room they offer used rubber flip flops wouldn’t dare to wear it ashtray not cleaned from the previous customers - we don’t smoke

A nice hotel with very helpful staff. Choosing a seaside room on Trip was not clear, we ended up with a room further off the beach than I prefer. Staff moved us to a preferred room, without hassle. The breakfast is suitable for farang if you cannot do spicy. The beach is very clean, as is the water and with a morning tide you can see fish and crabs moving about. The resort is next to a roped off swim area shared by several hotels. A close-by dock serves those who want go on a snorkle trip but I dont know where to sign up for this. You will need a taxi or rent motorcy to get to town but there are two small stores about 5 minute walk if you need snacks, water, etc. There is no ATM nearby and only one on the whole island so have plenty of baht since many places on the island do not accept credit card. Our only issue was that the pool's PH level was way off and caused a bit of irritation for the boys and I could not, at all, open my eyes underwater. Hopefully this is a one-off event. Otherwise, the staff was exceptional, helped us rent 2 motorcy and had them delivered. The room was cleaned each day, bed was not too hard, and AC worked great. You get a fridge, water, and coffee in room.

This hotel is located at the quiet end of the beach Very clean room and maids very sweet and friendly The grounds are clean and well looked after Breakfast on the beach side restaurant with friendly staff Good choice for breakfast The only problem I have with this hotel when you are paying nearly 3500 THB a night is not enough beach furniture When see people not guest at the hotel coming early and reserving their chairs and umbrella by put down a towel and moving furniture around then going away for a few hours coming back with friends There is one umbrella and 3 chairs per set Most people are in couples so only need 2 chairs If have children staff should provide a mat under the umbrella Staff shouldn't let guests move furniture around This way more guests at hotel can get a space on the beach We had breakfast at 7.30am and by 8am we had too rush too get our space on the beach before all gone A nice hotel and nice clean beach Just stop non guests using furniture and moving around When you are paying good money too stay here You want a spot on the beach The other option is too sit in restaurant all day If we come back too Koh Samet this hotel would be a back up option Over all nice stay 👍
