Great location, friendly, kindly staff, fantastic rooms, excellent cleanliness, comfortable beds, great view, beautiful view of Chicago Downtown, very good gym, all the equipment is new, truly an excellent hotel.

The location is perfect just next to the exhibition hall but the services was to consider, we had many issues the cleaning service two days they didn’t clean they just took the towels and didn’t put new ones , i guess they have some problems with management hope they will solve it

My first trip to Chicago was perfectly great thanks to LondonHouse. Especially the view from my assigned room was so amazing that I didn't need another rooftop cafe.

We booked a room that unfortunately was for the wrong dates through a third party. We were told by the third party that they would refund us but that the hotel had to release our reservation. We called them immediately after realizing the dates were wrong which was within an hour. The reservation was for two days from then. The hotel said they would not cancel it. They charged us almost $600 for a room we did not stay in and called in advance to explain our situation. They also did not allow for us to change the days to the days we were actually looking for. While the hotel is lovely and the staff was pleasant even delivering the bad news I won’t be looking to book with them again.

I booked to stay for just one night between my flights. The airport shuttle was very reliable. I wish I had known that if I requested, they would pick me up at terminal 5, but I walked to terminal 2 without knowing this. Their shuttle service operates 24 hours, every 45 minutes. The hotel is within walking distance to a metro station, so I took a quick trip to downtown. I booked this hotel just for its location and I was not disappointed. One thing, the room is not soundproof. Air conditioner was very loud I ended up turning it off, but the noise from the planes were pretty big as well. I could hear what the couple next door was doing at night very clearly. If you’re traveling with kids, that’s really something you should keep in mind. Also, every time the people next door opened their doors, I could hear them so clearly to the point it sounded like they were opening mine. I feared for my life every time they went in and out of their room. Honestly, that goes away if you wear your earplugs, which I did not have at the time. If this wouldn’t bother you, you’d be more than fine staying here.

Be careful, there is a hidden charge ”A $25 daily urban experience fee will be charged to each room” at this hotel Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park. The breakfast charge is very tricky if you have prepaid. 1st you have to argue that you have prepaid for the breakfast for each person in the room. 2nd you need to ask and confirm with the front desk how much the credit is for the breakfast you have paid (my case $38 for each person daily, covers taxes and tips). It is not buffet breakfast, you need to pay extra when you check out if you have ordered more than your credit for the breakfast. When I asked that if I missed one breakfast, can I use the extra credit for the next day. The answers were different from different staff members. A very expensive hotel focusing on big conferences, there are no microwave oven, empty refrigerator (you can request) in the room and swimming pool. Do not lift up the drinks and snacks in the box on the table (there are sensors underneath) unless you don't mind to be charged. The existing refrigerator is full of drinks. I was afraid to touch it, even the concierge didn't know how to open the refrigerator lock. But the coffee and tea are free. There is a person (not housekeeper) comes to the room to check and refill all the drinks and snacks including the free ones. We booked our room many weeks earlier, after we checked in I realized that the room prices dropped comparing our original prices, maybe not enough conference people attending. Staff were very nice. Close to Chinatown but quite a distance away from main attractions and locations Chicago is known and should be experienced for. Bus stop and Metro is relatively near and walkable. As for accessibility to the McCormick Convention Center, it is pretty accessible via a short bus ride.

Our check-in process was fast and efficient, and the receptionist was friendly and happy to answer all of our questions—especially about the fees mentioned on the hotel’s website. One of the main issues people seem to bring up is the so-called “hidden” fees. In my experience, these fees are not actually hidden—they’re listed on the hotel’s official website. That said, they could definitely be communicated more clearly. It’s important to read the fine print when booking and during check-in. While the fees may not be obvious at first glance, the hotel is legally allowed to include them since they are technically disclosed. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with enough space to hang clothes. There were multiple hangers, and the locker-style closets matched the hotel’s sporty decor. The floor and bathroom were clean overall, though I did spot a spider in the corner of the shower—but nothing alarming. The downstairs common area includes an open kitchen with a communal fridge and even a crockpot, which was a nice surprise. There were also several games available, like ping pong and air hockey, which makes this place family- and couple-friendly. Guests are allowed to enjoy drinks provided in the kitchen. If you’re sensitive to noise, particularly trains, I recommend requesting a room farther down the hall on the first floor. Our room was in a quiet spot—I barely noticed the train, and when I did, it was more like soft white noise. Still, bringing earplugs might help if you’re a light sleeper. Overall, I recommend this hotel. It’s in a nice area, the decor is visually appealing, and the stay was enjoyable. Just be aware of a $120 refundable deposit (if no damage is done to the room) and an additional $50 guest fee. Knowing that ahead of time helps avoid surprises. I’m very grateful for the pleasant stay and would return again.

I was to pay 117 at check in per room. Hotel made me par 285 for something I didn’t have time to use which was tickets to attractions and that fee included a fee for checking out. ..49 a room for coupons snd 65 per room check out fee. Our car was too tall for the 85.00 a night parking but the garage at the corner only charged 58.00 a night. I wouldn’t recommend driving downtown Chicago unless you like being stressed out. I’m asking trip.com to reimburse the difference between the 117 and 185.
