Hotel 3 Bintang di Lugano

I spent two nights here 21st to 23rd of April. I booked a single room which is a real treat as not many hotels have these. This enables solo travellers like me (on this occasion) to get better value for money. Room 63 was small but perfect. It was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and I had a lovely view over the park/garden - see photo. The breakfast is pretty comprehensive and the service is polite and swift. Happy Hour in the bar was very good and I also had the unexpected pleasure of being able to listen to a recital on the second night. This was by Galina Vracheva (piano) and Anna Schweinberger (violin) and was complimentary. In the company of other guests, I listened to some amazing playing. What a treat! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Not a bad stay at this hotel. Close to all that Lagano has to offer. Lots of shopping and restaurants right behind the hotel and a very nice lake walk to the front of the hotel.The lake is Beautiful anytime but after dark all the houses around the lake light up which is nice. Room 354 offers great views of the lake and has a large bath and separate shower which is great. Breakfast is good and has a selection of meat’s eggs cheeses and pastries along with the usual fair for a buffet breakfast. Parking is a pain although they validate your parking which is good. There is a small area out front of the hotel to unload your bags which makes things easier. Not a bad stay but my only complaint was the beds! boy are they low and uncomfortable.

Hôtel très accueillant depuis les échanges mails jusqu'à l'accueil sur place, dans une langue à choix, y.c. conseils touristiques détaillés avec carte de transport urbain offerte. La chambre souhaitée (encore merci!) est magnifique et impeccable avec sa grande fenêtre, oreillers à choix , lit confortable, salle de bain avec fenêtre et tablettes ; grand coin bureau avec chaise rembourrée, frigo et excellente machine à café Caffe d'Italia. Nombreuses lampes pour un éclairage parfait. Délicieux petit déjeuner avec fruits frais et cappuccino remarquable, salé et sucré variés. Situation idéale en plein centre, à quelques pas de la gare et du lac, des boutiques, restaurants et musées. Hôtel à recommander sans hésiter.

Review for Hotel Federale Lugano We came to this hotel late one night after missing the last train to Lucerne. Immediately we were welcomed by the warm Guiseppe who graciously accommodated us. He was polite and comforting. The room he left us in was very clean and nice, with a balcony that overlooked the city. Since we are three, Guiseppe even brought in a third bed for us even though we could fit in the large bed in the room. Overall, we were very lucky to find such outstanding service and a fantastic place to sleep. Will come back and highly recommend with its nice view and closeness to the train station!
