Hotel Mountain view di Kunming

We stayed at Kunming PAPMAN Hotel Wanda for our first night in Kunming, and honestly, it was by far the best hotel of our entire stay. We only stayed for one night and didn’t have a chance to explore the surrounding area, but the hotel itself was exceptional. The hotel occupies two floors within a larger building, so there isn’t direct access to the hotel lobby from the ground floor. However, the hotel contacted us in advance with clear instructions on where to meet them at the car park. The staff came down to meet us, helped with all our luggage and brought us up to the lobby. This could have been an inconvenience, but the level of service completely made up for it. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm and genuinely went above and beyond from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is beautifully designed. Every corner was thoughtfully decorated and incredibly photogenic, and the overall aesthetic was stylish without compromising on comfort. Even our room was beautifully designed, comfortable and very well equipped, with lots of thoughtful amenities included. The views from the hotel were also lovely. Unfortunately, it was raining during our stay, so we didn’t get to properly enjoy or photograph the rooftop pool, which was a little disappointing — but it gives us another reason to come back! One of our favourite additions was the photoshoot. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to arrange a much earlier photoshoot slot because we were short on time. The experience was so good that we ended up purchasing additional photos beyond the three included with our room. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Our room rate also included afternoon tea, although we arrived at night and unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to try it. However, supper was included and was honestly one of the highlights. It was a combination of semi-buffet and made-to-order dishes, with a surprisingly good variety. Everything we tried was delicious, and there was more than enough food. It was such a nice and unexpected inclusion, especially after travelling all day. We were also celebrating our child’s birthday during our stay, and the hotel had thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake and a little present for him in advance. It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch, and really made us feel welcomed and looked after❤️ Overall, we were genuinely impressed by this hotel. From the beautiful design and comfortable rooms to the incredible service, thoughtful inclusions, photoshoot and birthday surprise, everything felt very well thought out. The service in particular really stood out — the staff were attentive, friendly and incredibly helpful throughout our short stay. We only stayed one night and didn’t leave the hotel during our stay, so unfortunately we can’t comment much on the surrounding area or its convenience for exploring Kunming. But based purely on our experience at the hotel, we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Hotel ini sangat dekat dengan Taman Yu dan Taman Daguan, hanya beberapa minit berjalan kaki jauhnya. Saya tertarik dengan terapi mangkuk nyanyian sebelum saya pergi! Dan ia benar-benar menakjubkan! Sesi yoga pagi benar-benar memberi tenaga kepada seluruh badan saya, membuatkan saya berasa penuh tenaga sepanjang hari. Terapi mangkuk nyanyian tengah hari sangat menenangkan, dan saya tidur dengan sangat selesa. Sesi relaksasi yang mendalam pada waktu petang juga sangat menenangkan, dan saya tidur nyenyak sepanjang malam selepas itu! Location is a big plus here — right next to the convention center, a shopping mall with tons of dining and shopping options, and DiDaDi outdoor theme park is literally just outside the hotel. The kids loved it and kept themselves busy the whole time. Rooms were great and the outdoor bathtub was a nice bonus. We had a minor hiccup with the AC going out overnight, but the manager was super responsive and got us moved to a new room without any hassle since the technician wasn’t around over the weekend. Really appreciated that. Free breakfast and supper are both included, and honestly both were really good — plenty of variety and everything tasted great. Oh, and don’t sleep on the hotel’s rooftop photo shoot. The views up there are stunning and it’s a proper must-do during your stay. All in all, a really enjoyable stay. Highly recommend!

For an overnight stay to be in close proximity to the airport, this hotel was perfect! I really liked our family room. It was very clean, new and modern. We had a nice view from our room. Complimentary airport transfer was easily arranged at 5am with takeaway breakfast prepared for us. There is no drive-thru for us to alight with our luggages. Our driver had to drive to the basement carpark which was dark and extremely confusing. Then we had to go through a narrow passage to find the hotel lift. Which was challenging with 2 toddlers (5 and 2 years old) and 4 large luggages and stroller. Hotel staff also doesn’t help with the luggage- this can be improved. This was the most challenging part for us.

Housekeeper is very friendly and provides excellent service. Receptionists are very professional and polite. Facilities are excellent. Location is fantastic and close to all places we would like to visit. The buffet breakfast is highly recommended. Room is our favourite. Free laundry is a big bonus. We quite enjoyed the stay at this hotel and highly recommend it anyone who is interested in visiting Kunming, China.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I wanted to be in a hotel near the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was included. It was Chinese style buffet breakfast. If you like noodles, you could get it done to order. The hotel organized a shuttle to drop me at the airport. I enjoyed the Pu'er Tea and the tea set found in the room. Thumbs Up for quality tea! If you are looking for a hotel close to the airport in Kunming, then this hotel is good value for money. It can be a little tricky to find the entrance of the hotel as it is small street behind other buildings. Be careful if you get a taxi/didi to make sure you get dropped off in front of the hotel.

The location of Ruibo was so convenient to get to our early morning train at Kunmingnan Station in under 10 minutes. It is also situated right across from a lovely suburban lake with a beautiful path around it. Our family so enjoyed walking around this lake in the afternoon. The air was fresh, there were not so many people that you might encounter in Downtown Kunming, and my daughter found so many dandelions to blow! There are also many lovely and fairly priced restaurants down below the hotel to choose from offering a variety of Yunnan fare. Check in was flawless, and the check in agent was so kind and calm in the lobby. Now let's get to the room!!!! It had a stunning view of the lake, the train stAtion, trains and surrounding mountains. Everything in this brand new room is so well designed. There many nooks and crannies with well situated seats and cupboards. Space is so well thought out. My daughter's favourite seat was the couch incorporated into the windowsill. She could sit there and draw while looking out the window. The loft was awesome for our larger group of 4 people. The upstairs loft has its own bathroom and shower and sink!!! This was so appreciated after weeks of waiting our turns for the single toilet and shower that we found with other loft hotels! Best of all...both bathrooms had smart toilets!!! This was the first of 6 rooms we have stayed in around Yunnan to feature smart toilets. The price of this room was such value for the amenities and facilities we got! I would definitely stay here again, especially if arriving or departing on the southern trains!

We are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.) Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.

The room is pretty decent and big. There's just a bit of noise as the room I got is next to a room being renovated, but it is only during the daytime. The best thing for me aside from the beautiful view, big room, and big bed is the smart toilet (I specifically check for places with bidet for my stays, and this place got a high-tech one). The hotel and cold water are also great. I appreciate that the toilet, sink, and shower are separate. The staff are all kind and helpful. I got an issue with my DiDi account and need to book one for my scheduled tour, and the staff on duty gladly helped me book one paying for it and said I could just settle the payment later, and even escorted me to the DiDi and let the driver know I don't speak the language and to get me safely to the location. The other staff also helped me with my WeChat, which helped a lot during my whole stay in China. The only con that I can say (if you are specific with location) is that it is not that close with the usual tourist spots like the Kunming Old Street, but it is close to the South Railway station (Kunmingnan). This is not a big con for me as I actually enjoyed the nearby malls and alleys. This is one of the good stuff here as well. It is on top of a mall, and just across the place is also a place to go shopping (for clothes, food, restaurants). There's a big supermarket/department store in the next door mall too. It also gets lively at night. Overall, personally, I find this a great place to stay in Kunming.

Everything was clean and the service was impeccable where it is located is in the middle of nowhere yet 5-10 mins drive from the main airport which was good. Only stayed for a day and the owner was more than accommodating also they offered me food which was very pleasant
