PPengguna TetamuOur stay in the hotel was great from start to finish. Overall, the hotel is very pretty, clean, and spacious. On top of that, the service is of upmost quality. We have been treated very carefully by the entire team, be it at the breakfast, the reception or the general butler service. Despite the hotel being a bit far away from the city center, our stay was very pleasant. Highly recommend the hotel to anyone who seeks a peaceful and recharging experience.

PPengguna TetamuI reserved three rooms for our family. We all surprised by the the good quality and cleanness of the room. The girls in front desk are extremely helpful. They provided flower cookies to us when we arrived and late made fresh coffee and tea to us. Since we came from US without WeChat pay account, they used their apps to help us to order food and book taxi services. Although this hotel is small and even we had a little bit difficult to find its exact location when we arrived, it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. All the services we received from the hotel made us feeling like we stayed with our family. The next time we go to visit Dounan Flower Market, we definitely will stay with them again. I certainly consider it as a 5-star hotel.

Our stay at Dian Lake Steigenberger Kunming was truly memorable. All the front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, while the housekeeping team was warm and thoughtful. They went the extra mile to decorate our room for my husband's birthday and even sent us a beautiful and delicious birthday cake — a gesture that made our stay feel extra special.
The Lake View King Room (45m²) was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and pillows. We especially loved the balcony overlooking the lake — peaceful and perfect for unwinding.
When we mentioned that our centrally controlled air-conditioning felt a bit warm, 军军 和 Amy immediately offered us an additional room for free, complete with an individual aircon controller so we could adjust the temperature ourselves. This level of care and flexibility was truly impressive.
The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of several restaurants, including KFC, and there’s a 7-Eleven just nearby for added convenience. The lobby is also grand and tastefully decorated, giving a luxurious first impression.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kunming — it offers both comfort and heartfelt hospitality.

DDorisduoduo一到這個美麗的酒店就被吸引住了，前台的經理服務特別好，為顧客着想，一路到房間的風景也很美麗，心曠神怡，到了房間裏，美麗的花園和私人泡池，讓我們開心不已。汗蒸房也很舒服，唯一遺憾的是，雙人房間衹有一個洗手間，略有不便，公共泡池山頂，有些人工的小童娛樂設施看着有點煞風景，如果拿掉會更自然高端。住的捨不得走又續住了一天。還有個問題是，選了帶温泉的套票，去了發現根本不需要，兩天多花了一千多塊錢。這個其實不應該出現在選擇裏。沒住過的客人根本不知道。

SSarah from ItalyThis was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend.
Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!!
They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator.
We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon.
When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊
We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did.

AAnneFloresThe room is pretty decent and big. There's just a bit of noise as the room I got is next to a room being renovated, but it is only during the daytime. The best thing for me aside from the beautiful view, big room, and big bed is the smart toilet (I specifically check for places with bidet for my stays, and this place got a high-tech one). The hotel and cold water are also great. I appreciate that the toilet, sink, and shower are separate.
The staff are all kind and helpful. I got an issue with my DiDi account and need to book one for my scheduled tour, and the staff on duty gladly helped me book one paying for it and said I could just settle the payment later, and even escorted me to the DiDi and let the driver know I don't speak the language and to get me safely to the location. The other staff also helped me with my WeChat, which helped a lot during my whole stay in China.
The only con that I can say (if you are specific with location) is that it is not that close with the usual tourist spots like the Kunming Old Street, but it is close to the South Railway station (Kunmingnan). This is not a big con for me as I actually enjoyed the nearby malls and alleys. This is one of the good stuff here as well. It is on top of a mall, and just across the place is also a place to go shopping (for clothes, food, restaurants). There's a big supermarket/department store in the next door mall too. It also gets lively at night.
Overall, personally, I find this a great place to stay in Kunming.

PPengguna TetamuI recently stayed at this hotel, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had while traveling. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and a level of hospitality that made me feel instantly at home.
The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — every detail felt carefully thought out, from the cozy bed and soft linens to the perfect lighting and refreshing scent in the room. The amenities were top-notch, and everything worked flawlessly.
What really sets this hotel apart, however, is the service. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. Whether it was helping me with local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply greeting me with a smile every morning, they made me feel truly valued as a guest.
The location is excellent — close to everything I needed, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing night’s sleep. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, with plenty of variety to start the day right.
I’ve stayed at many hotels, but this one truly exceeded my expectations in every way. I will absolutely be coming back, and I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone visiting this area.

PPengguna TetamuWe are Americans from Hong Kong and traveled to Kunming for our Easter holiday. The positives of this hotel: 1. it was beautiful. The design and furnishings were very well done and the room itself was exceptionally clean. 2. The owners were so kind. We arrived way after the tea time hour, but they still provided our family with cappuccinos and fresh fruit, free of charge. Both were delicious and our children were so excited about the gourmet coffee art. 3. The mattress in the main bed area was very comfortable. Not a typical “hard” mattress like many hotels in China. Another bonus: it was actually a KING size, which we rarely see outside the US! 4. The breakfast was Chinese style and the rice noodles were delicious! The hotel also had a beautiful courtyard area to eat outside. A few items to be aware of: 1. although the hotel was in a neighborhood near the lake, the neighborhood itself was a bit strange. We could tell it was meant to be a beautiful, well-to-do neighborhood of modern villas, but more than half the neighborhood was unused and/or under construction so it wasn’t as lively feeling in the evening because it was so dark and desolate seeming. It was beautiful in the daylight though! 2. This is not a big hotel chain, just an independent boutique style hotel operating in one of these villas. 3. There are no optimal eating spots near the hotel. You have to take a 20-30 minute Didi (taxi) ride to the nearest area with a lot of restaurants. However, if you like street food, there is a street food carnival area about 10 minutes away via walking (walk north along boardwalk bordering the lake.)
Overall, because of the kindness of the owners, the cleanliness and modernity, delicious breakfast, and comfortable mattress, we would definitely choose this hotel again for a one-night stopover.
