Hotel Mountain view di Yangshuo

Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

The hotel is absolutely wonderful! I particularly enjoyed the shower and the bathtub. But you can tell in the design that they really care about details, from single serving packaged free leaf tea with a nice tea set to the automatic night light that turns on when leaving the bed at night. The only two gripes I have are that the soundproofing towards the hallway isn't very good (which was only an issue until the kids in the other rooms had gone to bed) and that breakfast wasn't the greatest, although it was still better than most other hotels I had stayed at in China (e.g. they had the option of whole grain toast, instead or just regular and they had a choice of hard boiled eggs and tea eggs). 10/10 I will stay here again the next time I visit Yangshuo.

The hotel is wonderful — the panoramic windows are an absolute delight. Waking up to such a breathtaking view is truly unforgettable. The hotel has everything you might need, and the staff are incredibly caring and always ready to help with any question. One of the best features is the scooter rental service. It’s extremely convenient — renting a scooter for the day allows you to explore all of Yangshuo and its beautiful attractions with total freedom. The only small nuance is the breakfast. It is more focused on traditional Chinese dishes, so for Europeans there are fewer familiar options besides toast with butter and some fruit. I would recommend booking a room without breakfast and enjoying breakfast anywhere in the city — especially if you rent a scooter. That’s exactly what we did and found a wonderful place for breakfast.

Honestly if I could give 11/10 I would. The room, amenities & cleanliness were fantastic. The views of the mountains/ river were gorgeous and the grounds were very well maintained with wood carvings and eclectic touches of modern & traditional Chinese design. But for us what really put it over the edge was the friendliness, warmness and helpfulness of the staff who really went above and beyond. I could not recommend this hotel enough and will be top of my list if I’m ever back in Yangshuo. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is situated in a wonderfully quiet area right near a great cafe, making it a peaceful retreat. ＞ The staff at the front desk were incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. When we had trouble booking our bamboo rafting online, they stepped right in and handled the reservation for us seamlessly. They even have a very cute hotel cat that my child absolutely adored! ＞ Hygiene and comfort were top-notch—the hotel is spotlessly clean, the towels and bedsheets smelled completely neutral and fresh (no strong perfume or chemical odors!), and the shower water pressure was fantastic. We stayed in a room near the pool, which was a huge hit with the kids, and the staff went out of their way to ensure we always had fresh towels ready for swimming. ＞ We truly felt cared for throughout our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Room: The room is so spacious. Each room seems to have its own tub. The room is so clean and spacious, I have no complaints. I slept so well. What takes it over the top is that there is an adapter which can take most types of international plugs. The washrooms are so nice and luxe. The shower is perfect. You feel like royalty every time you step into the washroom. Amenities: - The whole estate is so large, with diverse sections, each beautifully built. The whole layout is incredible and beautifully designed. - The pool against the backdrop of the majestic mountains and the sound of nature, especially the birds, is amazing. - There is an outdoor laundry room. I really love that it is an indoor-outdoor vibe. - There is a really cool treehouse and near it are exotic birds you can see up close - There is a bonfire you can use every night and cook sweet potatoes which they provide..amazing - There are scooters right in their parking lot you can rent at any time - There is a respective Western and Chinese restaurant serving diverse foods and drinks (including alcoholic). Not only are the foods amazing, the hot Americano is just as good. The Staff: - The owner and staff are all phenomenal people. They are so friendly, welcoming, hospitable, and helpful. They made me feel right at home. - They were so attentive to my needs at any moment. I am truly so grateful to each and every one. The Location: There is not much to say here because the view speaks for itself. But it's also close to a ”downtown” which is the Xingping Ancient Town. You can get there by renting a scooter for cheap with the help of the staff here. By scooter it only takes 15-20 minutes depending on your skill level. There are so many activities you can do in in Yangshuo, and the guesthouse can help arrange any of them. I really appreciate the pamphlet they send out which immediately gives an overview of what activities you can do and they can help you with any of them! Overall: This place is phenomenal. It is perfect for families, solo travelers, business travelers, couples, and all different travelers. It has everything you need. A Western restaurant, Chinese restaurant, both of which serve amazing food and various types of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can rent scooters right outside the building. There is a laundry room. There are even exotic birds in the garden! There is a treehouse, there is a pool, all enveloped by a majestic mountainous landscape. There is plenty of space to get your work done if you are a business traveler, but if you want to cruise around and explore, you can do so on foot or on scooter. If you don't want to find places to eat, the food here is right here for breakfast, lunch, and dinnner. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and helpful in every aspect. They are really amazing people I won't forget!! I loved it so much here that I extended my stay here! Incredible value. You won't regret booking this guesthouse!!!

Room was well appointed and spacious. Kept rather clean too, but the air conditioning took extremely long to cool the room down, almost 7 hours to cool from 30 degrees to 26 degrees at full fan speed. Our room was facing the back street, it was very very noisy at night and noise from the street can be heard clearly. Hotel does provide earplugs. Free laundry and dryer available.

The hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!). Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

I traveled here with my mom and dad who are visiting China for the first time. This hotel provided them with all of the Western comforts they were used to, while still shining with more Chinese cultural elements. The design of the whole hotel was stunning. Our room was incredibly comfortable and had a beautiful view! The room was very clean, with comfortable beds, and really great lighting. The hotel staff is incredibly accommodating. They were available by WeChat and answered all questions promptly. They manager herself helped me print something for work, fix a clothing crisis, and most importantly when I realized I couldn’t find a sentimental item she promptly checked around and found it, and shipped it back to me. This above-and-beyond action truly means the world to me. I will certainly be using this hotel again the next time I travel to Yangshuo.

Our stay at the River View Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is very well located, close to the harbour and West street where restaurants and shops are located. The hotel is beautifully decorated and all is well taken care of. But the best part without any doubt is the staff. They are the kindest, most helpful and understanding people we have found in our trip. They speak English very well too, which makes communication much easier since we don’t speak Chinese. We’re sad to leave since this felt like our second home.
