Hotel Amalia Olymbia was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Greece. The staff was ver professional and respectful. Eleni the hostess at the restaurant was AMAZING. Always with a smile on and ready to help. Very knowledgeable, friendly but very professionalsd well. Yiani our waitor fast, likable and professional too. The food was excellent and delicious. I thought since it was included with our room it would be something light and simple. Amalia had a whole buffet of traditional Greek dishes for dinner plus your basic English/American meats and dishes. The breakfast buffet incuded the standard again English dishes plus yogurt and a dessert/fresh fruit table. A variety of coffee, tea and juices was offered as well. The outdoor pool was specious and clean. The rooms had all the amenities needed except hair conditoner but same thing happened to me at hotels in Los Angeles. The only negative thing if I had to mention something it would be the Bathtub. It was a little too high for my short legs and hard to get in and out. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to others and I would stay here if given a chance again.

This is a reasonable 4 star hotel. Our room was an OK size with a couple of stairs going down to a small sitting area and the balcony. Unfortunately once we put a suitcase on the luggage rack at the bottom of the bed it made it a bit tight walking around the bed. The room had a view overlooking the swimming pool. There was a small pull-out clothes line on the balcony which we really appreciated. The bathroom was a reasonable size although there was a bath with a shower over it rather than a walk in shower. The hotel is up a hill and the distance to the town is not very far. However, it is a very steep hill. We walked down very carefully and caught a taxi back which only costs us 5€. There is free parking at the hotel. There was quite a range of food available for breakfast. On the second morning of our stay there was someone cooking omelettes to order which was great. On check-out the receptionist told us there was a charge for mini-bar items we had consumed. We told her that we had not consumed anything. She quickly said “sorry, my mistake”. She did not check anything and we were left with the feeling that this had been a “try on”. Regardless, it would seem that this is something that the receptionist should check before advising customers of an additional charge because last impressions count. Without this incident I would have rated the hotel as very good rather than average.

We stayed at Kronio Hotel during our visit to Olympia. The location is perfect, just a ten-minute walk to the museum and to the archeological site. We came during low season, so there were not many guests. The place is a little older, but good enough. The owner was very kind when he showed us to our room. He prepared a very nice breakfast for us in the morning. We enjoyed out stay and the kind hospitality extended by our host.
