⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Stay! I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation. The facilities were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the excellent customer service throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I concur with some of the past reviews regarding the musty smell in the basement room. The property was generally quiet, though it highly depends on your neighbours on the same floor. One of the rooms had a window facing the common area, and I was unfortunately placed next to some very vocal neighbours who were chatting loudly until midnight. The floor also felt a little grimy and could probably use a deeper clean, though slippers were provided so it wasn’t a major issue. That said, the staff were helpful, it was easy to order a Didi, and the cats were adorable — especially the friendly Xiaobai (the white one).

If you visit Yangzhou, this is the only hotel I recommend anyone to stay at. It has the gorgeous Chinese garden that spreads out for miles. I stayed in building 3 (the only building offered on the internet when I booked). The hotel is connected (walk over the bridge) to the Slender Lake. Staff were very courteous and helpful. My room was tidied up everyday. Breakfast was not include in the room rate but there is a Starbuck nearby where I had my morning coffee and pastry. The room has a balcony, overlooking some trees and other building. Most of the restaurants/eateries were closed (probably due to low season). However, there are a lot of local restaurants in the old town area and Guan Dong Street; it costs about 10 Yuans to take a taxi to get there.

A very good stay so far and it was made exceptional by two outstanding staff members. 刘玉 at Reception provided a wonderfully warm and offering excellent local tips. Her helpful attitude continued throughout my stay. 夏幸福 (Breakfast & Room Service) was incredibly attentive and cheerful. Her proactive and thoughtful service, whether in the dining room or delivering a meal, consistently enhanced my experience. They are truly the hotel's greatest asset. In fact, their excellent service is the reason I chose to extend my stay from an initial 3 nights to 10 nights, and perhaps even further.

Very good hotel. We would rate 98 out of 100. Great location (photo 1). Located on top of subway line 1 and line 2. Restaurants, upscale shopping malls and hundreds of local shop line the neighborhood streets. Soft but firm mattress, down pillows, down comfortable feels like sleeping on air in the clouds. Bathroom shower has strong water flow with unlimited hot water. The soaking tub was a real bonus. Safe, quiet & clean neighborhood. No sign of crime, gang tags, homelessness, drug ******* which is throughout Europe and the western hemisphere. Great price. Fast check in and out. Only problems, TV had only CNN for western news, (which is useless) and the sound was so low we could not hear it. Which is the only ways to watch CNN, but we could not hear HBO. The shower had tiles with soap scum (photo 2). We travel the world, and really enjoyed this hotel. We will stay here again in our future trips to Jiang Shu

Such good value for what your get - luxurious huge room, central location and 24hr service and cleaning. The concierge is on the 15th floor and a bit hidden. Note: there’s no gym, pool, room service, buffet breakfast etc but that’s why it’s such good value!!!

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday and had such a great experience. They upgraded me to a suite, which was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. When I arrived, they had a thoughtful birthday setup waiting for me, complete with a cake and a sweet “Happy Birthday” display, which I truly appreciated. They also gave me lovely souvenirs from the city, which was such a nice touch. The staff were warm, helpful and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of Western options. The view from the room was amazing and made the stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, right next to a plaza with plenty of food options to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Suzhou Pingjiangfu. The hotel’s location is excellent — right in the heart of the historic Pingjiang Road district, which made wandering through Suzhou’s canals, gardens, and tea houses wonderfully convenient. The breakfast was absolutely sumptuous, offering a generous selection of both local specialities and international favourites. It was a real highlight of our stay, and we found ourselves taking our time to savour the variety each morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable, providing plenty of space to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Although the décor is a touch dated, it lent a certain charm that felt in keeping with the city’s traditional character. Everything was clean and well cared for, so the age of the furnishings didn’t detract from the overall comfort. All in all, Suzhou Pingjiangfu offers a winning combination of convenience, comfort, and a touch of heritage. We would gladly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable stay in Suzhou.

I selected the Intercontinental due to the closeness of the nearest subway station. Checking in was a pleasant experience and handled efficiently by the receptionist; we were given an upgrade which was great too! Fiona, a staff member, asked to add me to WeChat so that we could communicate throughout the stay if I had any questions or requests while we were staying; that was a nice touch and reassuring to know we could reach-out anytime. The room was great, and service whilst we were there was the same. Highly recommend staying here if you want a quieter stay in the city, with ease of access to the subway.
