"We had a great stay at the Waterfront Southport Hotel.
Our original room (331) did not have air conditioning, and as the weather was very hot, we spoke to reception for assistance. Paul was incredibly helpful and professional throughout. He listened carefully to our concerns and immediately tried to find another suitable room. Unfortunately, there wasn’t one available at first.
Later, when a guest cancelled their booking, Paul remembered our situation and quickly arranged for us to move to Room 402. Thanks to his kindness, efficiency and excellent customer service, our family was finally able to enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep in an air-conditioned room.
We are very grateful to Paul for going the extra mile. Staff like him make a real difference. Thank you, Paul, and thank you to the hotel for looking after our family. We would happily stay here again."

"This is a uniquely beautiful hotel in a historical building. The rooms are lovely with a huge shower and bath. The staff at check-in were super friendly and gave us a free upgrade on arrival. However, be wary of the bar. The serving staff were inattentive. We asked to see a menu and the waiter walked past us for a second time as though he had never seen us before. Drinks took a long time to arrive. We also had to request slippers twice from reception to successfully receive them. Overall, lovely hotel but the majority of the staff could do with extra training, especially the bar staff."

"This hotel is lovely, well-situated and incredibly good value for money! We booked a midweek stay on a mobile, using a price comparison site and the multiple, additive savings resulted in a 3 night stay in a very nice hotel for less than the price of a hostel! Even if you have to pay full-rate, the hotel is great value. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, air conditioning, toiletries, blackout blinds, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff really shone, especially Marta and Greg, who ensured that my autistic son's needs were really well catered-for. I would book again in a heartbeat."

"The room was very clean and affordable, with plenty of space, and the bathroom was also very spacious. The location was good and convenient.
However, there was no kettle in the room to make tea or coffee, and unfortunately, the hotel’s coffee machine at the entrance was also broken. This was quite disappointing, especially as there were no other options available for making a hot drink.
Overall, a good stay, but providing basic tea and coffee facilities in the room would make the experience much better."

"I've stayed at this hotel a few times now and you cannot beat its location. Straight out of the train station, turn right, and it's there. 5 mins walk to the shops and restaurants.
Rooms are adequate size, fairly basic but perfectly acceptable for a one night stay.
Bed was very comfy along with the pillows and bedding.
Bar lacks any atmosphere which is a shame. Reception staff are always ready to give you a great welcome.
Would recommend upgrading to get a St.George's view room."

"I stayed for one night at Adelphi Hotel. The room was spacious enough for me. The staff were very friendly and they provided a good service to help me choose a better room of my liking. The room was well kept and clean, but the windows seem to have broken glass, which I think the hotel should have repaired before letting me check in to the room. The bathroom also was good. Had good amenities and there was some issue with water supply for hot water, which I discussed with staff during checkout. The lobby area is so beautiful while you wait to get check in the room."

AAnonymous UserI stayed at the Pullman Liverpool Hotel for one night as a last-minute booking after reading several reviews and watching a few TikTok videos—and I’m glad I did.
On arrival, I was greeted warmly, checked in quickly, and made my way up to my room without any hassle. I had emailed ahead requesting a nice view as it was my first time in Liverpool. I was placed on the 8th floor, which was great, but unfortunately my view overlooked the roof of another building. I did ask if this could be changed, but the hotel was fully booked due to the Easter break, which I completely understood.
The room itself was comfortable and overall made for a pleasant stay. The location is a big plus—just a short walk to the Liverpool Museum, bars, restaurants, the wheel, and plenty of shops for a bit of retail therapy.
Parking is quite expensive, but the hotel does stamp your ticket which gives you a discount. I checked in at 3:30pm, checked out at 12, and paid £18 for parking—without the discount, it could easily cost 5–8 times more.
Now for the negatives: cleanliness could definitely be improved. I met some of the cleaners when checking out—lovely, friendly staff—but the room needed more attention. There was dust on surfaces, hair on the tissue container, only two tissues left, the bathroom and mirrors weren’t cleaned thoroughly, and the shower gel hadn’t been refilled, so after a few pumps there was none left.
Overall, despite the cleaning issues, I had a pleasant stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

KKudzyI was recommended to stay at Mercure hotel by a family member. The hotel location was good and easy to find. Upon arrival, I was welcomed at reception, checked in and given all important info. There was a wedding at the hotel grounds.
The first issue we encountered was soon after we left reception. One of the doors required you to swipe the key card to access the hallway where the rooms were located. The door would not open even after we tried using 8 different key cards. Another couple also tried to use their 4 key cards but it would not open so we were stuck there. The receptionist finally showed up and opened the door.
We booked 3 rooms in total...
My room looked well organised and tidy but the bathroom was not clean!! There was lots of hair on the bathroom floor and some grime/lime scale in the corners of the bathtub. In addition, the bathroom did not have a Toilet Brush.
I went to the 2nd room we booked. That room also did not have a toilet brush. The window did not open!! The hotel had the audacity to put a warning note on the window stating that the window does not open. Instead of fixing the window to make sure that guests have a window that opens especially now since it is summer and quite hot.
I went to the 3rd room we booked. That room also did not have a toilet brush. So all 3 rooms we booked had no toilet brushes!! The major issue in the room was the toilet was not flushing.
The issues with the hotel rooms are all petty issues that should never happen in a 4 or 5 star hotel. It was quite dissapointing because we had issues right from the start before we even entered the rooms when the door was jammed.
In addition, the hotel did not have any elevators which is a major disadvantage for people who are disabled or people who have issues with walking.
The only highlight we have of the hotel is the buffet breakfast. There was a wide variety of hot and cold food available plus drinks. Breakfast was and the service was quite good.

GGuest UserThis was one of the worst hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we were greeted by a pleasant front desk clerk. The lobby has a lot of character in keeping with the Titanic theme and the pictures of the rooms had the same theme. We arrived at our room (fourth floor #46) located on a dark hallway that was being painted. The room was large and also had some plush features like the curtains, furniture, chandelier and wallpaper. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. Our room was very hot, with no ventilation and one small fan. The desk clerk offered to bring a second fan when we requested a hair dryer, but the second fan never arrived. The windows could not be opened even a crack ”due to safety reasons”. The room was sweltering and sleeping was extremely uncomfortable. In addition, the carpet was very dirty, there was mold on the wall above the bathtub and the sink, the lights beside the beds needed to be replaced, and the towel rack was missing from the wall. There was a small kitchen which was nice, but it was missing the basics (glassware, silverware, plates) and one of the drawers was missing its front. In short, the room was in bad shape and we are very surprised they would host anyone in that room. In the lobby, there was a young man sitting at the Concierge desk and when we asked him for directions, he said he was security and had no idea. He could not have been less interested and barely looked up from his phone. Apparently, the rooftop bar is nice, but we did not go there. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and are pretty easy going when it comes to our expectations. This hotel has so much potential, but the experience was a huge disappointment and we would not stay there again and cannot recommend anyone stay there.

GGuest UserI recently stayed at The Adelphi and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Its proximity to the train station was incredibly convenient for getting around. The convenience of having bar on-site was a definite plus.
However, one significant drawback was the absence of refrigerators in the rooms. This was quite inconvenient, as it meant I couldn't store any perishable items or keep drinks cold for later, even with the bar downstairs. In today's world, having a fridge in a hotel room is almost an expectation, and its absence was definitely felt.
Despite this, I would still recommend The Adelphi for its other positive aspects, convenient amenities, and easy access to transportation. I hope the management considers adding refrigerators to their rooms in the future, as it would greatly enhance the guest experience.

The hotel is conveniently located almost right by Albert Dock and within walking distance of the city center, making it a good option for those who want to explore the city without excessive travel. From the very first moments, we liked that the staff was friendly and quickly helped with check-in, and the overall atmosphere in the hotel felt calm and modern.
The room turned out to be clean, tidy, and quite comfortable for relaxing after walks around Liverpool. The bed was comfortable, the room had everything necessary for a short trip, and the overall level of service left a pleasant impression. It's particularly convenient that the hotel is suitable for both tourist trips and business visits: getting to key places in the city is easy, and returning to the hotel in the evening is not difficult.
Breakfast was generally a bit weak. The selection of dishes was decent, the food was hot and fresh, and standard options included hot dishes, pastries, and drinks. However, it's worth noting that the breakfast area can get quite crowded in the mornings, and seating can sometimes be insufficient, so it might feel a bit cramped during peak hours. This isn't a critical drawback, but it is noticeable if you come at the busiest times.
The most contentious point was the parking. It's available, which is convenient, especially for a city center location, but we had to pay **£52** for it, which seemed far too expensive for one night. From a practical standpoint, having parking under the hotel is a plus because you don't have to search for a spot on the street, but the price left us feeling overcharged. This particular point spoiled the overall impression the most, although in all other aspects, the hotel is quite decent.
Otherwise, the Hampton by Hilton Liverpool City Centre can be considered a reliable and convenient option for a trip to Liverpool. It has a good location, decent rooms, a satisfactory breakfast, and polite staff. Apart from the high cost of parking, the hotel leaves an impression of comfortable city accommodation without unnecessary fuss. For a short stop, it's a very practical choice, especially if it's important to be close to attractions and not waste time on travel.
