I have only positive things to say about the Victoria Letterario, even after the shock during the check in. Upon arrival for check in, the reception staff told me that my booking was cancelled! I showed them the communication of trip.com 3 days earlier confirming my booking, which their system has not registered. Jorge, the concierge, was very apologetic and offered me the only room available that day which I accepted, while he will get in touch with the intermediary to find out what went wrong. It appears that trip.com and similar platforms purchase the beds in great numbers from a company hotelbeds.com- I went to my room and I came down with my iPad and I and Jorge got in touch with Trip.com via my account. Trip.com replied immediately, confirming my booking and promising that they will get in touch with hotelbeds.com. As it was already 7pm, Trip.com did no manage to get through the staff at hotelbeds. Trip.com advice that if hotelbeds.com did no reply or confirm the booking then I'll have to pay and Trip.com will refund me right away. I was happy with that. I stayed the 2 nights in the hotel, and only the morning of the day I checked out the hotel Victoria Letterario received finally the confirmation of the booking from hotelbeds. Trip.com was every effective in dealing with the issue and I'll use them again and Jorge, at the Victoria Letteriario dealt with the issue very professionally all they way through, so did the manager of the hotel too. Trieste is a small city, and you can walk from the hotel to the major landmarks in 20 minutes. I loved the decoration of the rooms, the bathroom was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The TV channels were all in Italian but I don't care much about the telly when I travel. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast, it has everything that a good hotel breakfast should have and more, namely its attentive staff. A five stars stay!!!

I loved our overnight stay at The Modernist! It’s a chic, smart, arty hotel in the centre of the city, easy walking distance to all the shopping, bars and restaurants. The room was spotless with tea, coffee, minibar and toiletries all provided. The restaurant and cocktail bar serves creative cocktails, a great buffet breakfast and a fabulous dinner - we enjoyed them all!!

Excellent location, staff very professional, and an amazing breakfast. Easy to tote our luggage to the cruise ship (about a 5 minute walk). Excellent apertivo just outside the hotel door. One night we were having apertivo and I just wanted something more. I order a gnocchi from their restaurant. I never had gnocchi with a meat sauce and it was excellent. Lots of shops and eating places. Would stay there again.

The employees were super nice and helpful getting anything I needed. I was there on karaoke night and it was lots of fun with a bunch of people singing their hearts out and just chatting. Everyone was super friendly and it was extremely enjoyable. Definitely would do again!

Perfect location and excellent staff and service. The room was very clean, spacious, and had comfortable beds. However, a fridge for water during the summer would be amazing, and the shower needs a good scrub.

Kitchen is mediocre, if there is one... Too few staff, so bar was closed. No drinks before or after dinner. Tecnical issues in the room, even they are recently refurbished. 'Kitchenstaff' is slow. Will not visit again.

1) Front desk stuff was not helpful at all!!! 2) Access to the hotel’s lobby is only by stairs and all stuff was trying to pretend there were busy not to help at all. Luckily, we had only small suitcases, so that was not a problem for us, but still for this level of hotel I would expect welcome service in front of the hotel and not at the front desk. 3) I would not recommend “Historical One Bedroom King Suite” - it looks like the room had been plundered long time ago. There were literally no decorations whatsoever, be it old or new

Lovely hotel - very nicely located. We checked in after hours - they sent the instructions via email and text so it couldn’t have been any easier. the apartment was spacious and clean - we were only there for a night before our cruise but I would love to come back to this little town and stay here much longer. Highly recommend- the front desk staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut. Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr in die Jahre gekommen und die Sauberkeit der Zimmer könnte besser sein. Das Frühstück ist am Preis von 7,90 € gemessen sehr gut und vielfältig.

Overdue for sharing my thoughts on my October 2021 stay at the Palace Hotel Moderno. The service by all the staff, reception, room service and during breakfast were all friendly & top notch. My room was clean, well appointed and had everything I needed (next visit I will ask for extra pillows). My room was on the side of the building closest to the Posta, a busy local watering hole and the crowd noise was not a problem. Local bakeries and Coop grocery close by to ensure I could stock the mini fridge with aqua frizante and snacks for late night. WiFi was fine, suited my needs perfectly. Looking very much forward to my return visit this October.

Perkhidmatan bilik yang sangat baik, Lokasi yang menghadap matahari terbenam adalah tinggi. Tetapi hotel ini adalah sarang. Hotel yang selesa tetapi tidak peribadi.

Strategicamente molto buona essendo in centro Qualcosina si potrebbe migliorare magari inserendo un materasso matrimoniale in lattice invece di due singoli a molle. Il parcheggio è un po’ problematico

So glad I stayed here. It’s amazing inside and the staff (well most of them) are lovely too! Arrived during a national train strike so was stressed and just grateful to have arrived. My check in was great, the guy was friendly and informative. Escorted me to my room which was modern and he showed me how everything worked. Only thing I was disappointed in is there are no safes in the room - that can be so easily rectified. Didn’t have breakfast but I did bring a friend back for a drink in the evening only to be met by a miserable member of staff who so did not want to serve us drinks and when we insisted he made the cocktail with one small piece of ice! When I asked for more he gave me another small piece! Ridiculous! We weren’t the only ones to receive his misery! A group of 4/5 came in after us and were told they could take the drinks to their room! They were just as surprised as us with his rudeness. Anyway I haven’t detracted any points from this review because I spoke with the owner in the morning and she was lovely and apologised profusely. None of it was her doing but she was mortified and assured me she would deal with it which I trust she did. Would definitely return if in Trieste again 👍

It was well priced and convenient to leave and arrive at the train station. It wasn’t far to walk into the town and the water was hot and the showers had great water pressure. They also had soy milk for breakfast and the coffee was nice. The staff were lovely. The rooms are dated but that doesn’t bother me. Plenty of space to hang my dresses. The downsides were, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and the pillows were heavy and hard as a rock. I couldn’t use them. Luckily there was a spare. I would probably stay elsewhere next time.

Ho scelto questo hotel dopo aver visto la posizione e alcune recensioni! Effettivamente si trova in posizione strategica ovvero sia a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro , sia su una strada che in pochi minuti ti porta in tangenziale/autostrade ecc. La struttura è ben tenuta, le camere spaziose e pulite. La colazione è buona , in linea con l'essere un 3 stelle. È dotato di un parcheggio interno gratuito. Personale cortese e disponibile. Prezzi onesti. Lo consiglio!

Siamo stati all’ hotel “ i Gelsi “ a Codroipo , consigliati da amici che abitano in zona. La struttura , pur non essendo proprio moderna , non è malvagia .. una grave nota di demerito alla signorina che , la sera prima della partenza mentre festeggiavamo un compleanno, ci ha telefonato alle h22:30 (immaginatevi che spavento ) per assicurarsi che la mattina successiva avremmo pagato il conto ! La mattina in questione mi sono sentita rispondere con supponenza da un’altra receptionist,che “ forse voleva assicurarsi che non vi sareste allontanati senza “ pagare il conto! Non ho parole ……

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room and view of Udine is excellent. There’s lots of options in Udine including air b and b but I’ll always stay at Oriana Homel. It’s my favorite . Can’t wait for my next trip to Udine.

I stayed here three nights during a recent vacation in Italy. While the hotel is a little far from the center, taxis were readily available, and made travel easy. The hotel is well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast was especially good and reasonably priced. I don’t believe the hotel has a swimming pool or a fitness room which is a drawback, but it is well located near an excellent restaurant. I would definitely stay here again.

Das Hotel liegt am Rand der Altstadt von Udine, die man nach 10 Minuten erreicht. Die Zimmer sind mit allem ausgestattet, die notwendig sind. Unser Zimmer leider hatte einen Dachbalken, bei dem man aufpassen musste, dass man sich den Kopf nicht stößt. Das Frühstück wird in der Lobby serviert und bei gutem Wetter, kann man es auch auf einer Terrasse zu sich nehmen. Das Auto kann man auf einem Parkplatz seitlich am Hotel abstellen.

Andiamo spesso a sciare in questo comprensorio ma di solito ci fermiamo per il break in uno dei rifugi sulle piste. In questa occasione abbiamo finito di sciare presto e abbiamo preso posto in questo locale. Essendo anche hotel si mangia sia ristorante che pizza e panini. Abbiamo scelto ristorante con uno stinco ed un tris di wurstel Entrambi con contorno e cotti bene. Prodotti di buona qualità ed impiattati con buon gusto. Il servizio, seppur in una giornata di grande affluenza, è risultato buono, serviti con un cestino di pane di quattro qualità e grissini. Un po' meno condiviso è stato il coperto costituito da una tovaglietta in carta così come le posate chiuse con lo stesso prodotto . Il personale gentile e pronto alle nostre richieste. Conto adeguato tenendo conto anche del periodo e del contesto in cui è inserito l'hotel.

This Hotel was 3 star not 4 star. I guess because of the swimming pool they have achieved this? The Restaurant was closed during August (disappointing) and it is in a more industrial area, luckily we had a car so could drive to a restaurant one of the evenings. Reception were really helpful. The bar is modern and drinks were great and reasonable. The bar menu is limited but was good. Breakfast was good with lots of choices although watermelon the only fresh fruit. The corridor outside our room was dark and very 1970’s looking. Room had all we needed but dated. Pool was fine, we had to take beds outside to the sun. Small space outside. All in all just ok, could be improved with an upgrade of the building!
